Yep. Here are a few classic modern footballer expressions. Like I said (when they did not say anything ) Its about the team, the boys were great, one game at a time
It's not really their fault. Footballers these days are taught exactly how to handle the media and don't know how to express themselves by being themselves in case they upset sponsors.
Facts, I'd like to think that if I was a footballer regardless of how I was taught to 'handle the media' I'd be myself and show a bit of personality. It's something that's definitely missing in the modern game
He certainly was. And unlucky not to win more trophies and play in more cup finals. Signed just after Arsenal won the league in 91 and was maybe past his best by the time they did the double in 98. Wenger didn't even bring him off the bench in the cup final v Newcastle which was a shame
@@9inchsnails829 He still won two doubles, played in two European Cup finals, helped win one of them and that team challenged for trophies. If ppl don't know, this is the minimum standard we want from our current players.
A L who? Are you talking about mr Arsenal? The captain? The man that said “play for the front of your shirt so the back of it can be remembered”, if your talking about his personal life, he overcame it, that it’s self is inspiring
@@AL-np5br I can say as a United fan that Tony is probably the greatest captain the English top flight has ever seen, at worst hes top 3. He lived Arsenal.
Honestly, if you look at premier league of the 2010s until 2016, even 17, we had SO MANY good players, and if you watch the game and plays, it was letting them go that was the stupid decision. then management entirely fucked up (as it does year after year) and we have had a shitshow for the last 5 years. And then arteta comes on, and there are some signs of actual improvement, and the rona hits... cant catch a break
Wrighty had every right to go crazy after receiving his winners medal in front of the fans because it meant so much to him I think at that point he unfortunately knew that he couldn't play at the title winning intensity which led to him signing for West Ham in July
@@DouEditz Anelka was awsome, scored goals in for fun, hence Real Madrid paid £22million for him. Arsenal then bought TH14 for £10million & built a brand new world class training centre & the rest is history. LOL Anelka, yeah could have become a club Legend.
0:28 Tony Adams talks about 2 people dying and Ian makes a funny face gesture, then quickly realises he shouldn't have done that! To be fair to him, I don't think he was really listening too much
Yea not quite, proper legend and leader and world-class CB but professional maybe not so, our defence would regularly have a liquid lunch before 3pm games
@@ACNC1 Exactly its why liverpool won so many titles in the 70s and 80s. They would go up 1-0 and then just pass the ball around in triangles before giving it back to the goalkeeper to pick up. Noone did it better than liverpool.
As an arsenal fan I remember this and I feel like crying not just for that championship but for the current team but hopefully we will come BK to glory days like this!!!!!!!!!!!
It amazing to see how much respect players like, Bergkamp, Seman, and Adams naturally attracted. Born leaders. I imagine whenever they spoke, everyone kept quiet. When you respect someone, you listen to what they have to say, as you do not want to ever let them down. I imagine Wrighty being the young joker of the group, but could talk the talk in the pitch too.
Adams respecting the two ex footballers that died that day shows what a class person he was and football is just a game that means nothing at the end of the day
How times have changed. The zeitgeist is totally different. All about the individual now. Before the internet and social media, everything seemed to be more genuine.
i miss this arsenal, this was my team, people i looked up to because they had passion and drive, i don't look up to one single person at arsenal now and that makes sad
Arsenal need more PL experienced players and english players as well to see these moments again... the spirit of the club died when Kroenkes took it over let's not forget what the Gazidis damage as well
Anyone who think Arsenal are sheet ,,look at this,, proper footballers knocking about then,,, you felt every boot go into your shins,,,facts coyg, yet anothert display of diplomacy and sportmanship,,,,,,,COYG we won thats all thats matterss says Wrighty,, respect.. we are the GUNNERS. nothing else.
