Red Like Roses Part 2 was sung by Casey and her mom representing Ruby and her mom respectively.

Red Like Roses pt2 is a duet between Ruby and her mom Summer. And it is performed by Casy and her mother, playing the appropriate parts.

Two explanations: 1. Gold is a song from Yang's point of view about how she loves and cares for Ruby. My personal theory is it's a (or THE) lullaby she sang to Ruby while growing up. 2. Stray is explicitly about Blake. The line "12 hours is a long time" is after she ran and they searched for 12 hours and met up with Penny again. It also talks about not wanting to "be stray" which is something Blake is afraid of; she runs from her friends and doesn't see anywhere for her to run to. A final note is that Stray became the unofficial Monty tribute song after he passed away. There is another song in a later volume that is the official Monty tribute/memorial song.

You’ll see more of Weiss later, she explained a little of what she went through at home in the first volume. But the songs really tie into her character really well.

I feel you Nekko, about Weiss song... Not just Mirror Mirror, but all Weiss's song make me emotional. I legitimately think that Weiss's songs are also the favorite of the Williams's, I think there is a little bit more, whether it's in the composing or in Casey's voice. And then, This life is mine (Mirror Mirror part 3) is in two volumes and I don't think it's because Jeff didn't have the time to compose another one, but because he likes this one ^^. I liked the thoughts in edit, the "oh boi you will..." about the struggles of Weiss, I thinked about that just at the same time. And the "Velvet

My favorite line in red like roses part 2 is "Every nightmare just discloses it's your blood that's Red like roses"

Also concerning I May Fall, I believe Jeff Williams stated part of the inspiration for this song was actually Aragorn's speech at the Black Gate from Lord of the Rings: Return of the King? Which it definitely shares a vibe "When we've lost all hope And succumb to fear As the skies rain blood And the end draws near I may fall But not like this It won't be by your hand" "The day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship. But it is not this day! An hour of wolves and shatter shields as the age of men comes crashing down. But it is not this day, this day we fight!"

I May Fall ost plays a little bit in one of the ending credits of season 1 but you hardly notice it because it goes so quick, however it it does get played again more in a certain moment in Season 3

To me Gold is about Yang and Ruby(from Yang's POV). A lot of shine, sun and gold tend to be used to refer to Yang. The song also mentions summer and roses. So its more of a promise towards Ruby.

I needed this today. I was just like.. dying for something interesting to watch while I worked on some stuff... and this is too perfect for it. I don't know that you would find canon explanations for the songs... only fan interpretations of them. The "guest-star" was amazing. Hilarious. Never seen that one before. A+! I think I Burn on this playlist is the original, and it was later made more family friendly.... I like the original, usually get a fun reaction from people on that one. You haven't seen K-Pop recently... There's a lot of darker visuals and heavier musical tones in that realm lately. lol I'm more familiar with the female K-Pop groups, and they have been breaking the molds everywhere lately. REd like roses part II is a song from the perspective of Ruby and her mother. Also the singers are Kasey singing Rubys part and Kasey's mother is a different singer singing the mothers part.

Next time you watch Avengers: End Game, Just before the "On Your Left" Moment .. Start Playing "I May Fall" .. It's the perfect song for that moment.

Minor spoilers with character names: I also like most characters in the show, even characters a lot of people hate like Cinder, Raven and Adam. I think you could say I dislike Tyrian, but I really like his scenes, so I can't really tell. I do hate him a bit, but the things he does are always interesting and seeing him fight is amazing, specially if he loses.

I'm pretty convinced that Wings is Yang to Blake... Yang has some themes... There's gold, there's burning... And there's flying... This song has a fair few flying references... They bring up the 12 hours, so maybe it's Weiss, who brought that up... But this doesn't seem like stuff Weiss would say... She wouldn't call people baby... Yang probably would though... And who was searching alongside Weiss? Yang was... Also, Wings has a similar lyrical tone to it as Gold, which is very likely Yang to Ruby, because of the Gold and burning references... Also the sun... I believe Yang's full name is supposed to mean something like sunny dragon... And then you've got mention to Summer and roses... Summer could be to do with Yang, or it could be a reference to Summer herself, Ruby's mum... I also heard somewhere that there was supposed to be a Yang Blake scene around then too, but I don't know if it's true or not....

I mean, I think most people would get kinda depressed after seeing family friends disappear, and a angry father coming home making for "a very difficult childhood"

Gold is the outro song for Chapter 3, and I May Fall is Chapter 2 (I think)

Nekko - if you play bass and want to learn a RWBY song, I suggest listening to "Touch the Sky" from the V7 soundtrack. The bass starts off hard at the beginning and just never stops!

Regarding Weiss and depression and what Jake said about depression - Unfortunately depression doesn't work like that. Yes, your situation can make things worse, however clinical depression is an imbalance of chemicals in your brain and can effect literally ANYONE. Even the most well off person can be effected, and it can make them feel worthless, like life isn't worth living, like no one likes them, etc. etc. You can have someone telling you to your face that they love you and treasure you, and your brain will tell you they're lying and you're a burden and they don't really care.

lmao I always just call RWBY music the RWBY genre, because the show has songs in basically every "mainstream" musical genre but they all share a sense of familiarity because they are written by the same person and the vocalist/s is/are almost always the same.
