This was when the Anti-Disco movement taking over, Disco was associated with the Gay Clubs and Americans wasn't having it, they were burning anything Bee Gees related in the streets. The Bee Gees was considered a "Jive" and "Soul" band, but because their music was used in Saturday Night Fever, the disco tag was stuck onto the Bee Gees. The Bee Gees was forced off the air, to continued doing what they love, they wrote songs for artists like Samantha Sang, and providing background vocals for other artists.
