We Made HUGE Improvements at No Prep Kings Virginia, but an Old Problem Came Back to Give us Trouble 

KYE... My friend... Being a channel fallower since you began, because I believe you can take these championships. Kye my friend elliminate all those blower belt issues you have. Get that blower, or as you guys callem super chargers down as low into the intake valley as you can. get a way diffrent intake made so you can get that dam blower down as low as possible and make the belt length as short as you can. I am 66 now. In 1977 I ran a 69 chevelle with a old cast 426 dodge hemi in it with a blower on nitrous methain. I litterly built my own intake for the blower myself. i so wish i could remember the length of my belt but i ran that motor combination 4 years and never ever one time did i change the belt. those long belts have way to much flex snap in them and they cannot take that hard recoil flex to snap back yight under varied rpm. hope i can describe it right so you under stand. my set up was crank drive, a idler to tighten and blower drive and i wanna say it was like 7 or 8 inches between the two drive pullies. I watch all of you guys struggle with blower belts i swear thats your biggest trouble, also make sure them pullies are dead on straight square to each other. just bolting on parts said to be right could be out of square even as small as 1/16 of a inch and it will destroy belts. huggs and good luck my friend i will be watching every video and race.

Hey Kye couldn't you use like some fishing scale that you weigh a fish with with like a hook on the end and put it on the belt and pull it to see how much weight it has to get the belt at the right stiffness to make sure it's not to tight???

Looks like doc pulled the front end off the ground at about 500 ft amd the car got goofy after that. Lot of power but you can't use it if your front ends in the air

Is it possible your belt is flexing under load And touching the back side of the belt inside that housing causing it to stop that portion of the belt like a break For a split Second in the rest of the belt to rip off And Continue cause it's still being pulled by the lower pullygear on the crank For the belt.

Picture Justin (blower belt) stuck in your locked garage after hours. He runs full speed towards the front door and crashes into it, then he gets up and runs full speed into your back door. He keeps doing this at 7k rpm all night long! He is not going to last very long. Now imagine him doing this in a pair of skinny jeans ( blower belt too tight)!

I really hope u can repeat this year and win another championship, everyone kinda knocking last years format, but we all know u fast as F$&k!

Why do you guys not put the car on the trans brake in the pit to see if it's going to break the belt or not? I know the belts only have a limited number of runs before they are worn out or break. But I'd think it would be worth checking before you line up against someone for 30k$

Hopefully you are running 84's and NOT over tightening them. Looser is actually better because the engine parts expanded and the belt doesn't. Belts and rev limiters also do not play nice together because you are moving the blower pulley forwards and backwards a a very high speed. Blower pulley really only likes to drive forward. Actually, when you are hitting the rev limiter, you are stopping the forward motion of the pulley, reversing direction, stopping it again, and reversing direction.
