I used to be a huge fan of BABYMETAL back in the days and my interest became less and less after Yui Mizuno left in 2018... but I never addressed the trio as a Metal Band. They are an idol unit with metal band, KAMI Band as supporting musicians. I do admire their love of metal music and the scene once they were introduced to it during the proposal for sub-unit (the heavy music club) of Sakura Gakuin, which later officially recognized as BABYMETAL. The trio complimenting each other flawlessly but my favourite of their performance is and will always be Suzuka's solo track AKATSUKI. Since Yui left, I still listened to their old stuffs and less and less their new stuffs. About a year after she left, MAYU SESSION started to take shape and later evolved to a proper band setup with permanent members, NEMOPHILA... and it is the most interesting plot twist came in perfect time for me to 'renew" my interest toward females in heavy metal music from Japan and until now I am still excited for what is NEMOPHILA going to do next. Tamu is not a new face since I followed her journey years before NEMOPHILA and she is also an active session drummer whom had been supporting idol group live performance before, and she did a drum cover video of BABYMETAL songs many years ago. SAKI, the guitarist who left the band recently is also a big fan of Yuyoyuppe, one of the composer for BABYMETAL. Yuyoyuppe was the one who inspired her to take on the 7-strings guitar since most of his song are using 7-strings and one of the song by Yuyoyuppe that she love is this song, MEGITSUNE. p/s: Back in the day when 'boy bands' were everywhere, Ryan Stiles did a joke on one particular boy band during a hoedown and his final line was "...but you're not a band unless you play an instrument" 🤭

From a purely business perspective, I don't think Babymetal x Nemophila makes much sense. You do a collab when a large part of the fan base doesn't know the other artists well. A feature and opening band is in part about introducing a band to your own fan base. Most of those into Babymetal already know Nemophila. And those into Nemophila already know Babymetal.
