It would make no sense to keep her. I feel like the main reason people want to keep her is because they feel bad for the actress. But that is not how you should cast a character. If they did that, no stars would ever be cast
Yes and no; she has all the strength of a character who's been around for 60+ years. She has volumes of lore written about her that Tolkien doesn't even have for middle earth. What people need to be able to do is discriminate what makes a character good from what makes a character generic.
Lara is who Sasha should have been. Her entire look was literally from that version of the character but that wasn't good enough for Hollywood. They just had to raceswap🙄😒😠
@@Randomchannel-ff9hf its not lame its called passion for a character being portrayed and looking correctly. If you don't like it you don't have to but wether you like it or not there will always be people who feel the same way about wanting accurate physical features. Having anyone play the role even if they dont look like the character just because they do well doesn't fully make the character come to life. It makes it look like some offbrand version of the character. For Supergirl (Kara Zor El) if there isnt someone that looks like Kara who is lightskin, blonde hair and blue eyes that is playing her it ruins the magic of the character being live action for some people.
I 1000% agree we need a blonde Supergirl with blue eyes like in the comics. New viewer here as well. When I was a little girl I remember watching the older Supergirl movie. I forget the name of the actress who played her though but I do remember it was in the same universe as Christopher Reeve's Superman. Anyways I hope all is well and you earned a new Subscriber 😊💗
@@Randomchannel-ff9hf its not gonna stop. As fans we have every right to talk about the hair and eye color and skin color. Its called passion for a character. We dont want just anyone playing the role. If they dont fit the description of the character its just not as satisfying to see on the big screen. Supergirl in the comics has always been light skin, blonde with blue eyes. I want accuracy to her features and I want the character to be written well.
@@Randomchannel-ff9hf Anyone who thinks it doesn't matter has completely lost the plot. Comics are a visual medium. The artwork and the signature look of the characters is just as important as the stories being told. If the person playing the character doesn't look anything like the character seen in the comics, what's the goddamn point in adapting the comic for the screen to begin with? I mean would you want to see Jack Black play Superman? I mean since appearance doesn't matter, why not?
What's the youngest Supergirl has ever appeared in the comics? I think we should start with a 14-year old girl, as the first Supergirl movie will be a couple years after that and she will be 16 when that movie debuts.
I understand Kara is typically blonde but I'm sure they modeled this supergirl after Lara Lane Kent (who is not a canon character even) she has the same haircut and attire.
I feel bad for Sasha Calle but her Supergirl is to attached to the DCEU and her Supergirl looks nothing like the comics supergirl is meant to be blonde and blue eyed not brown haired and brown eyed
There is just one issue with that. Powergirl is blonde, light skin and blue eyes because she is an older version of Kara 💗 though Sasha would be a better Lara Kent
@@alexisislas-gonzalez5991 true and you are right about that however in that case in general I am fine because powergirl character history been like that for over a decade.
he was a really good flash, 9 seasons, plus he's more synonmous with playing barry allen then ezra, and none of the off the screen antics that ezra has had the past few years@@F.R.F937
i'm also a fan girl of the arrowverse, plus hopefully it'll be a good way to eventually pay off the cliff hanger of season 7 of legends of tomorrow, they cheated them when the canceled legends of tomorrow on a cliff hanger. loved that show@@F.R.F937
No Grant Gustin is too old he's already 35 the flash is meant to be like 24 when he gets his powers and Grant Gustin is already in his mid 30s so it doesn't work sorry
