The global average cost of 1 GB of cellular data is about ₹90-100, which makes it unsustainable for companies to offer data at these prices for a long time. In India, once the price per GB reaches ₹30-40, we can expect more stability in tariff prices. The current rates are not viable because of the increasing costs of technologies and infrastructure.

With full network 10 Mbps at 3g sometimes more or at 4g you will get around 20mbps. 4g rollout is going on most of the area is 3g.

one thing is very important is do not overuse like agar ghar me 2 phone se unlimited 5g chal raha ho to phir 5-6 phones me recharge karane ki zarurat nahi hai (jo ghar me rehte hai unke liye) and jinke paas router hai vo kam vaala recharge karaye jisse overpurchase kam hogi and inka yeh dirty game khatam ho jaayega.

1. There is no need of new companies. If there is a company which can enter in this sector that's only Adani for now. 2. Other companies which are active before Jio. All are bankrupted. 3. Taking about Tata, On 1st July 2019, merged with Airtel. 4. Only Hope is BSNL, in my area it's quite fast(5-10mbps with 4G).** 5. Satellite Internet is costly, It will provide great service but at high cost. 6. Regional players can't work. If you have to travel somewhere how they will provide services, if they give service by merging with other player. Cost will go high.

Satellite is only good for remote locations with no proper telecom services or unreliable. Another huge disadvantage is the latency is way higher than other connections.

BSNL started deploying 4g in many circles let's hope for the best . Plans are good I'm using bsnl yearly plan of ₹2000 which gives me unlimited calling and 600gb data equivalent to 1.6 gb data/ day. Speeds are ok sometimes you get 4g like speed better than jio and some times just able to make payments and watch RU-vid videos at 360p. Coverages during train journey is not good. Broadband at home and office + all sims of bsnl make better deal for me.

Even small country with very less population like UK has so many operators (BT/EE, Tesco Mobile, Virgin Media o2.TalkTalk. Vodafone UK., Sky UK. 3UK.). Same is the case with US. With highest population of 1.3 billion there is lot of room for more operators. It will improve the network congestion , customer care response. Problem is no company is willing to take risk.

We need 2 things: 1. Making BSNL a PPP with either TATA or any other company. Not fully private/fully govt . Govt doesn't care about profit & if BSNL don't make any minimum profit, its bad for consumers, coz it'll not able to give the minimum quality of service required to change and evolve. 2. We need MVNOs in india now. It's been a huge success in West and Japan & it'll also succeed in India now because india now has a very high smartphone penetration with data based customers with a very price sensitive yet compititive Market.

I guess we're not happy with anything. Consider the plans back in 2016 when 98 rs used to give 100MB data, Were always in search of just in search of more and more in less price. Tell me, if Jio wasn't there, we would be paying approx 2000 for just 10Gb of data.

Laymen terms mein, agar duopoly players kisi cheez ko ₹300 mein bech rhe hain aur uska actual market cost ₹100-150 ho, tab hi na koi new player entry maarke ₹200 mein usko offer karenge. Agar actual market cost us cheez ka ₹350-400 ho, tab kyun koi new player market mein entry karega? Ye toh ghaate ka sauda hai. Mudda tariff hike ka nhi, mehengaai ka hai.*

Telecom business requires huge capital. Not possible for small companies to sustain like S Tel, Aircel, Uninor etc.
