I have another set of wheels with Nitto NT05’s on the rear. It’s a 19x13 inch wheel, with a 335/30/19 the fronts are Nitto NT 555G2’s on 18x10 and it screams. With the lower ring and piñon I can shift and keep the RPMs from dropping below 5500 rpm. With the 3.42 the rpm’s would drop to 4000rpms. The power stays in the power band where the useful horsepower and torque is. The key is tires. The Michelin Pilot Super Sports that were on the car on the Forgeline wheels in this video are a joke! Even though they are wider 345/30/19 they just spin wildly. They are new but I hate them and they were on the car when I bought it. When I turn those tires to blueish-white smoke or sell them cheap, these wheels will get the same Nitto’s up front as the others or Nitto Invo’s. The rears will be either Toyo 888r’s or Hoosier A7’s or R7’s track slicks. The NT O5’s hook-up pretty good if they are warm.

I'm running Super Sports (C7 Z06) and they're stable at high speeds, but I can break them loose at will. Want something that will hook up from a dig if I roll into it or in a second gear pull. Am concerned the 888R's will give up too much stability over 125 ish.

@@tonysalemi5594 Tony I put Nitto NT05’s on my other set of wheels and they hook if they are warm. I’m going to put the Toyo Proxes 888r’s on these wheels once I either sell the Michelins cheap or turn them to blueish-white smoke. They are so expensive but I don’t care for them, they were on the car when I bought it and they are new. I think the Toyos should be okay above 125, the Nitto’s are fine and they are the same company. I like you can break the super sports loose at will and they are 345/30/19 so a little wider even.

@@tonysalemi5594 Don't be concerned at all about high speed stability with R888s. They aren't like drag radials. They are fantastic at high speeds and have tons of grip for dig runs as well. They even have a very respectable life span. Wear rating is great for such a sticky tire. The ONLY drawback to R888s is the humming noise at 20-35 MPH, and of course they suck in the rain as you'd expect.

I bought it with the custom JL Audio system already in it. I replaced the head unit and it controls my back-up camera, my dash camera, navigation, and the steering wheels controls still work. It plays Apple Music, Spotify, Bluetooth, CD’s, DVD,s, and every other type of music or entertainment. The amp box is a corvette flag that lights up (which I also hate) but it’s a 15k system and it sounds awesome so it’s staying for now. I don’t care for the ghetto crap either but as I said for now it’s staying. My truck is getting a similar set-up except with Focal or Morel speakers.

Also in the video, the amp box was disassembled as was the sub box in the rear. When it’s put together it looks much better, however, ghetto it is, good call, that’s the first thing I said when I bought the car. It’s professionally built and sounds amazing but not my taste. The other thing is that sub box weighs 150lbs or more and if I just cared about performance only, it wouldn’t be in there. It nice to crank the tunes on the highway rather than the drone from the exhaust rattle your teeth out. I’ve had all kinds of cars, Porsche, a Ferrari, an ugly powder blue Lamborghini, a Ford GT (not the mustang GT, the GT40 clone), a Hellcat, any number of mustangs including a McClaren, the list goes on, he’ll even my F-250 dyno’ed at 625whp and 1224ftlbs of torque. My point is this is just as quick as anything I’ve ever owned. She, squats and goes. I have no clue what her top end is, a fiberglass car without a cage is not something grandpa wants to blow a tire in. I’m sure it close to factory. Even though it has a lower gear, it has a higher RPM so I’m hoping it’s a wash but I haven’t a clue. I’m not going to be driving 200mph anymore or land nor water. Those days are gone. Anyhow if anyone has any questions please let me know and I’ll try to answer as best as I can. I can tell everyone one thing, I did my due diligence and researched some good corvette engine builders and corvette specialist and you see who I picked to work on my girl. They are great to work with! They are friendly, just really good guys! Most importantly they know what they are doing and treat your ride as if it was theirs. I would have no qualms about dropping off a $300k or $400k car with them if I still had one. I have nothing but great things to say about the entire process and most importantly the final result.

@@rickchandler7002 I hear you. I've had some awesome sound systems in vehicles (boats too) that I've really appreciated and enjoyed. With that said, I would never put, or want one, in a fairly light weight sports car again as it can be pretty detrimental to both acceleration and handling. And yes, I'm in the northeast, but if I were in the TX area I would be sending my C6Z to LMR as well. They do great work and seem to be class acts!
