The shower curtain situation is why hey make the curved shower curtain rod y'all. It fixes that--so you can literally save (sometimes thousands of dollars) by not buying a glass shower door.
Solution...wider or bigger tub . Shower curtain won't be a problem then. I'm a tall gal with long limbs and the curtain works just fine. I would not get a glass thing. It's awful to keep from getting gross. I also have a window on the wall too, of the shower. Tiled properly and no problem.
If you make it wide enough with door way entrance You need no curtain ,no shower doors And the space is big enough to wash the dogs Adobe is made for the creative mind inset Benches and shelves . Glass brick one wall for light Staggered or design patterns Mag-nif it was my daydream ☕🍴

Quick note on shower curtians, not to say they are the right choice for your build/ needs/ aesthetics but there are curved shower rods that can be installed to any shower that make a HUGE difference. Love what you are up to and wish you all the best from my little cottage homestead on the ocean in eastern Canada.
Thank you Elsa! You just solved my daughter's mystery illness! She also developed a mystery rash and became violently ill when she ate red meat! It took her 2 years to get over it and now she is fine, but her docs never did figure out what it was, except to put her on a celiac diet and no meat at all even pork & chicken.
That's so awesome you guys went to Taos. Love love love that area. Growing up in Texas we would go snowboarding twice a year at Taos, angel fire, and Red River.

Hear me out about your sink choice. I’ve had a divided sink and open sink. I’d pick the open style every time. There are so many times I’ve got some weird over-sized thing I need to clean and having a deep, open space to do it that’s elevated is so convenient. Griddles, a cooler, cutting boards…it’s just easier without that divider. I understand about washing dishes and wanting to have a spot to hold soapy water. Just buy a plastic tub to put inside for that purpose. Also, if children are in your future, an open sink doubles as a great bath tub for littles. My 2 cents.😉

Taos is a fun place to visit. I've been going there for 65 years. We used to camp in La Junta Canyon as a kid then my grandparents bought a cabin in Loma Linda, Tres Ritos.

Guys we love you! Please be careful with Pilot and letting her drag the leash behind her. I always kinda knew I shouldn't do it but would occasionally drop the leash and let my dog trot around with it near me...but one day it got snagged while she was in motion and caused her to front flip forward and she punctured a huge hole in her tongue from one side to another...it bled like crazy, antibiotics and pain meds...healed fine but I felt so guilty and the cry that came from her during the incident broke my heart she is a beast and doesn't yelp over much....had to just share love you guys so much and appreciate all the great content - Christine and Dan
I love Taos - my friends live about twenty miles east of the town. I love the fabric store there - such a good variety of fun material you can't find anywhere else. Camp and Pilot...what do I say? LOL Looks like a great break for you four!

With the way that things are changing and becoming less and less authentic, so much clickbait just to get seen in the algorithm, so many channels losing sight of why they started in the first place. I am sitting here enjoying your journey to Taos while eating the gelatin recipe you showed on your channel. I used mango juice instead of orange and it is delicious. A thiamine deficiency can cause you to have a reaction to digesting red meat. It's easy to get deficient in B1. The tick thing sounds suspect to me. I am originally from NM. Always enjoy seeing it from afar. Love you guys.

Oh my gosh I know the same feelings! My husband and I have lived in a fifth wheel for our 6 years of marriage. We finally moved into a house and it feels AMAZING to have the simple pleasures like hot running water, washer/dryer, dishwasher, oven, and SPACE.....we feel spoiled! I even found myself hand washing dishes for a week or so because I wasn't used to the dishwasher 😝

Kamp reminds me of one of those guys who gets in a mood where he really wants someone to fight him. Not to really hurt each other, but just in a wrasslin' kind of mood. I love Kamp. Shibas have more personality and sass than some humans.
My uncle had the alpha gal allergy and just recently is now able to eat meat again - his was all meat for a long time. Sometimes the enzyme doesnt go away but it’s lucky for you and him it did if you love meat x
first thing i think about watching people hiking and running thru fields etc is tick thoughts...we have lyme disease here in CT and every spring all you hear about is ticks etc...i hate to even go out in the yard and do any gardening because i am so paranoid about ticks...ugh
Super happy to hear you're not going to do tile countertops...I feel like they are a breeding ground for bacteria when the grout starts to break down and the uneven surface when mixing something in a bowl is annoying as well. lol

I have done lots of boondocking close to there. Love the earthships and all different architecture in that region! In the mountains of Colorado there are 2 seasons. Winter and July. HaHa I live at 10,000 ft in a small mountain town of 400 people. In the winter that number is cut in half. It snowed yesterday and today around 3 inches or more. More snow expected tonight. We need the moisture. We've already had 3 or more wildfires in our area. But I'm tired of cold, snow and wind.
