Ive been munching down on the current deadlock videos, but I will keep asking for meme guides on heroes, I think your humor really suits that. I have reference, there is a youtube who USED to do meme guides on practically anything he played, and they were a ton of fun, look at fast frames (warframe) for reference, or in a similar vain look at magikarpusedfly's old champion guides
TBH, I don't know that I really have an opinion about your editing style. I think you're doing great as is. I will happily watch a creator I enjoy play a game I enjoy with his buddies that I enjoy. I'll be there for it no matter what.
I think the cuts are working well, where one in-game match cuts down to 15-20min. That way I get to enjoy all the fun moments you had and don’t feel like I could have just played a match of deadlock myself for 30-40 minutes rather than watch one.
One thing I enjoy on focused channels is weekly clip compilations. A healthy balance of you cookin/being cooked for laughs and sweet plays. I'm also really fond of your editing style when you pause and we get some green-screen Fruit breakdown for the clip.
You're my favourite Deadlock creator right now so I love seeing all these character specific videos. The way they're edited is also perfect and extremely entertaining! Can't wait for the wackier/memeier stuff after all the characters got their own vid.

As far as Deadlock, I’ve also been playing it recently and it’s super fun, it’s my first MOBA and it’s made me more interested in that genre overall. Also, I actually went back and watched all of Fruit’s League videos including his MOBA guide video (which is great) and it made me kind of want more League videos, maybe like a compare and contrast with Deadlock. Might even be cool to see Fruit give Dota 2 a try just to see how that compares with League and Deadlock. A rising tide raises all ships is kind of my point, so with the growing niche of Deadlock may come an increased interest in other MOBAs, other Valve games, other hero shooters, etc, but of course the RU-vid algorithm is a fickle mistress, so what do I know.
I have 0 interest in playing this game but 200% interested in seeing you play a game you enjoy. The content is way better when you're clearly invested. Do what you love Mr. Fruit and we will watch ❤

I mainly like that you always show the build and usually talk about the abilities of the hero and the strategy behind the ability rotations at the beginning of the video. Even if it's not perfectly accurate information or there could be a better build, it's good to understand why something works or doesn't work.
Wanted to chime in with the fact that I really really appreciate how you on-board the viewer with a rundown on hero abilities, and also show the build you're using for each game! Adding to that, it would be cool if you could flash your final build at the end of a match too. I find I have learned a lot from watching you in this style, as a total newbie to hero shooters and mobas. I am definitely Deadlock-pilled. Hope you keep these intros up for the future, super helpful to bring unfamiliar viewers in and especially inform changes between updates to the game.
Personally, I really enjoyed the breakdown of the robot bomb meme build you did of what the character is, what it does normally, and then how your going to do the meme build. I think giving a quick briefing of what your doing, what the goals are, and how your trying to get there really adds to the entertainment value and for the bomb guy it made me cheer/enjoy every time you stuck another bomb and knowing how it would jsut add more and more to the multiplayer made it more fun. I’ve never played a MOBA, the closets thing I’ve played to deadlock is Overwatch, and I don’t really get the whole denying the grunt kills thing but you emphasized it was important and that was enough to understand and enjoy what is going on rather than watch it and not know what the objective is. I think some of your best content starting back with D1 is when you set out a creative task/objective and seeing you complete the it with all the banter from the dream team on top as a nice side note
Gonna be honest, there's absolutely nothing about Deadlock that actually looks interesting to me, but it's been very apparent from your videos that you are having fun simply playing and that alone makes the video entertaining to watch
It’s the same for me honestly. I like MOBA’s and hero shooters, but deadlock hasn’t at all appealed to me. But it’s nice seeing Fruit and his friends all enjoying a game together.

As someone who would like to learn the game by watching, sometimes the unedited games are the best to watch. But you have a good eye for making vids entertaining by editing out the "quiet parts". Fun looking game!

I love your editing style! Especially the stuff lately, with the facecam additions, little noises, slowmo, text on screen - whenever you highlight something funny with editing, it's done so well and enhances the humor without being too much SO FANTASTICALLY. love seeing you and your friends have fun and love seeing what comes from that, very often regardless of what it is being played!! As a long time viewer, I'll admit I haven't always been the best at keeping up with every game you play. Not a huge MOBA fan myself, but discovered this game through you and my god is it refreshing to see you put your everything into a game because you genuinely enjoy it, and not just because you think it will do good for the algorithm. As with anything I don't think there's a golden answer to the question of the edit styles of these video as I'm sure people have their own preferences. But for me personally I really enjoy the tighter cuts, gimme the highlights, particularly that paint a picture of a game or series of games like the one recently where you had the lows and the comeback trail. That was peak for me. But, having said that, like others have said in the comments here I'm pretty confident I speak for most of us in saying we're primarily here to see you enjoying yourself regardless how that looks. The guest appearances are always a plus too 🍉
I'm a big fan of how in your editing you let people finish their sentences but cut gameplay to a different part, then splice audio to the current clip you're showing after. The overlap feels interesting and keeps the content seamless. Very cool my guy
I honestly wouldn't mind seeing a mixture of both, I like the longer videos to have on in the background and also the shorter ones for funny moments, just looking forward to you being back 🎉
I have been a long time fruit fan and I gotta say his deadlock videos have a passion and enjoyment that fruit’s been struggling with during his mental health journey (I’ve been through it all too and in no way am I trying to badmouth you Christian or minimize mental health struggles). I’m saying these videos have brought back the fruit I loved and they’re some of my favorite videos from the fruit channel. I love the cuts and the videos full of content whether it’s memes or fruit popping off. I’ll be watching them whether they’re slower or just adhd portrayed through youtube 😂. Maybe the shorter videos that are cut and more inviting to the average viewer then on a deadlock channel you could experiment with different video editing styles. Regardless I’m loving the content and can’t wait to be able to be a part of your hero arc!!

I’m really liking the minor cuts style of videos. I really enjoy when you give a quick synopsis on the character and show us the build you’re going for, whether it’s a meme or a try hard build, followed by the gameplay with that build. I also find it really entertaining when you throw in quick little memes, music clips, or sound cues to emphasize the comedy of a moment. Love what you’re doing Fruit. Keep it up.
I love the Deadlock content. I love seeing new characters being explored every video. It's great to see you play with other content creators like Datto. As for the editing, I like to see a bit more of the match so that the continuity of that specific match is maintained in the video. In any case, keep the Deadlock coming, It's great fun to watch! :)
My wife and I pretty much only watch for the banter, so for us the main thing is whether or not y'all are playing together I've also been appreciating the various zooms onto the minimap or kill feed or portraits to highlight things happening or what people are saying; those have been neat touches

I love what you're doing right now as far as your style goes. You can always pop full rounds up on your uncut channel too, which I also enjoy. Take your Elden Ring videos for example. I love the condensed video, but the uncut movies were an experience of their own and equally worth watching to me.
Love your videos!! My favorite parts are the occasional cuts away from the game where you add some more context or crack some jokes. Always makes the video feel a bit more personal than if I was just spectating your match. But above all, I have fun watching your videos when I know you’re having fun in them! Keep it up!!

For what its worth I had no idea who you were, the algo brought me here for deadlock videos and now you're my deadlock video guy. Since you're not like top 1 pro deadlock guy i'd just keep it entertaining. I like things how they are right now in terms of editing I never really crave the games to be longer.

honestly, you’re editing style is great as is Mr. Fruit, the higher energy editing is great and you still mix in slower moments so i think you balance it well. I am enjoying the review style channels, challenge videos similar to your destiny ones would be top tier for deadlock in my humble opinion. as well as (i know it takes longer) the costume videos you made on you’re second channel while you were experimenting are still so much fun to watch, so bringing back that style would be sick!! love the CAHNTENT keep up the good work!!
Well Fruit, I have been binging the last 10+ vids to catch up, but have been really enjoying this game and the style of videos you’ve been doing. I think it has been super entertaining and diverse because there is so much going on with the mechanics of the game
Seeing as i have 0 hours in deadlock this looks like pro footage to me. No critiques here. I barely dabble in MOBA’s strictly because of the match length. I usually cant commit to not pausing or doing things randomly. Having kids, although I love them and obviously chose them over my gaming, really puts a constraint on how much I play or what I can play with them around. All that rambling said I love the MOBA content, this included, and will continue to watch every video you put out because I love your genuineness with us the audience and your vibe.
Mr Fruit. You could upload literally a blank screen and we would still be here to watch it just because it was uploaded by you. I have loved the content for the past 6 years and all the changes that have come with it. Do whatever makes you happiest and we'll support it.
I really like the balance between showing what happens each match with cuts. Not clipping a bunch of matches and putting it together. I love your editing style, but I still want to see what happens each match.
Having the builds you use at the start of the video has always been a nice touch. Watching you play deadlock got me onto the game, and it's great. Played smite and predecessors a lot been playing for almost 5-6 years. This game looks way more fun. Currently still playing predecessors because of nostalgia. The people on the fence on trying it. Games like this with so much depth have to be played it’s hard to spectate even for me. There is so much going on you don’t even feel the 30 minute matches. You farm, buy, kill, objectives. The item system creates so much depth. In MOBAS you can do troll builds, unkillabe builds, spam builds, one shot builds, and so much more. This item systems seems to be on crack. So many actives. You guys should try it. Also with the art style it’s a breathe of fresh air most games look the same with the hyper realistic. I like the who framed Roger rabbit/fantasy noir type feel. I’m pretty sure they’ll update detail around the map but I see the potential for sure.
I started watching with Mungus bc you were having fun and that was fun to watch. I can tell you are having fun playing this and that makes me want to watch. Do what makes you happy bud, you deserve it.
I'm loving the deadlock content, but definitely appreciate the variety too. As for the styles of video sometimes I find myself getting to the end one of your deadlock uploads and wishing there was more. Maybe upload the uncut footage on the Mr Fruit Uncut channel just for the extra fix between edited kids? As always I love the content regardless!

Fruit I love the variety! Deadlock and variety a few times the week makes me happy! For example, the chained together from yesterday was wonderful! I like the style of deadlock of what you are doing. Longer games with the “slow” time can be boring. Leave the longer style for stream! (Which I also have been loving!)
The best Mr Fruit videos are the ones where you are having fun, especially with the fellas. I personally prefer the fewer cuts, more complete games, but the montage videos are great as well.
Love that deadlock is doing great for the channel but also hoping to see some indie/small games again, always love the games you find and making funny videos about them

It's just fun to watch other people having fun in Deadlock. Cutting out the running back to lane and other mundane activities to keep the pacing exciting is definitely better imo than watching an entire game. Keep up the great content, man!

Haven’t watched the fruit since the early days of Destiny and now I’m back for the deadlock content - 9,000 hrs in Dota and I’m ready to put that into deadlock
Havent seen the gameplay yet, but wanted to leave the comment :). I like the Fruit style of content :), where it’s not just “the character being played with commentary on how to do this or that”. But rather Mr. Fruit playing with his friends, edited fun and or frustrating times :). I also hope that Deadlock pops off, it feels good to play :D And good to get better on! Also it’s super frustratingly fun with friends, the good and the bad :D When you steal that mid boss, or go into the Viscous bass and basically hit noone xD good gameplay all around :>
I honestly don't mind when you don't have a running commentary, not because I don't like listening to you, but because it's also fun to watch you just frag and coordinate/banter with your team. Both styles are entertaining and enjoyable. Keep up the great work Mr. Fruit!

I enjoy both type of videos. The short cuts help if I have limited time and they are typically full of action and good moments, while longer cuts show us your process and how the game develops.
I will say, my favorite content from you is like silly funny games, not much a fan of deadlock but im still watching, as per editing style i like long form less cuts.

I'm happy with any editing you go with. This game looks so much fun and it's easily visible how passionate you already are. This brings me back to when Paragon was the big hype. the more your video lasts, the more i enjoy, but i've watched your videos for years now and you're the streamer i watch when i have lunch so I don't know if i'm your target audience since I'll always watch whatever you put here sooo yeah.
That hp swap ability seems more useful than I thought at first. Its funny that someone can ult you and you can basically use it as an uno reverse when you're about to die and then kill them instead. I like the dynamic voicelines in this game, its one of the things I liked about overwatch too but I think this game does it better. Like when I ult as Yamato and the enemy team says 'keep away from Yamato', it feels cinematic but in an unscripted way, its these kinds of attention to detail I think which makes this game so addictive for me.
There was already a tourney for 10k for this game. When it's in Alpha. Something tells me theres going to be a sick esport scene for Deadlock. At least, I really hope so. Also, I'm just here for a good Deadlock time, and am finding your videos funny, no matter wether you have a full match or edited.
