Heavy Edit is literally a dream come true for me. My favorite weapon in the entire series thus far. Being able to BRRRRRRRRRT at an ever higher degree of potency is all I could ever ask for.
As someone who's been maining Zimi since it cane out, this weapon is a dream come true and something ill definitely be trying to perfect in the future. My biggest issue right now is positioning, Im struggling to strike that sweet spot where you can get up your full charge without it being wasted. Hopefully this will be fixed after I get some more experience with the weapon. Great rundown!
An error I saw is you had the Hydra Splatling at 480 Dps but when fully charged its dmg is amplified to 40 Dmg making its dps jump to 600 Damage per second or a 3 shot making its time to kill match the Heavy Edit.
ok so i have a lot i can mention so i'll try to keep this short. 1. i don't like heavy as a range and charge comparison in those aspects at least because it's pretty damn close to naut in those which is why naut is better since it has the charge hold mechanic along with the recharge (edit will still be good tho) 2. fucking finally someone mentions the negatives of this thing like everyone is acting like it's top tier even in comp like unless you spend the whole game doing the paint tech with it and running charge zap is better cooler output like it's still high tier and have niches but like everyone is thinking it'll replace zap when it wont. 3. this will definitely be a soloQ god wep is you are insane with it. 4. it actually has the best obj dmg in the whole class being neutral to everything (the rest of the class has .7 to brellas and .6 to booyah and shredder doesn't help against booyah since it only takes it to .66 5. yes im a splatling player who plays the whole class any kit and can also play explo 6. it has the same run speed and RSU curve as mini wich is up to 140% the best in the class bp is 125%, naut is 130%, and heavy and hydra are 135% i would appriciate a pin so people can get more details easier if they want them. im also willing to answer questions if ppl have any
Range is the only reason i wont be playing the heavy edit much. Just today i had a few matched where i got absolutely owned by a jet squelcher and range blaster. Im gonna be honest tho that i got really angry because i just didnt have the range to deal with them.
I personally think it's most likely to be used in a comp with a different back line like how naut was often run with bp. Then zap will be traded out for a different aggressive weapon. Alternatively is to run this with mid range weapons and splatter shot or brella and have them target the backlines
the only thing I don't like is the name, it's called the heavy edit in english while in most other languages its called the "examiner" or something similar which is so much cooler imo
Personally I love the edit. I always wanted to learn a splatling and the edit is perfect for my general play style of support, but with the added benefit of being really solid in a lot of fights. Basically unless something out ranges it, usually other Splatlings or chargers, you can be a genuine threat with enough practice. Dread Wringer is gonna be amazing in zones IMO, especially if paired with some SPU. Both weapons are genuinely fun. Although now I want to give my edit object shredder thanks to this video x3
You're absolutely right! Mini and Edit actually have the exact same run speed while firing according to the wiki. It's kinda weird to me since I always think of the mini as a light weapon even though it's medium.
feels important to mention that: the strafe speed is absolutely insane, i think it's exactly the same or close enough to mini. oh and, it shoots longer with an almost-full charge than an actual full charge, which is nice for holding space a little longer
