It's a rare service, but there are weasel troops for hire in the world. Also Reuger makes a good .22 that has a built in supresser which is basically silent if you use a subsonic round.

Up here we just shoot them, down there you have too many houses around and I am sure there is some ordinance as well. As Keith says, check with fish and game, maybe consult a trapper as well, he might give you ideas or do the job for you.

That's the trouble with being within 500 ft from your neighbors. Pellet guns however seem to be alright.

Use conibear traps. Conibear traps are VERY effect traps. I've been using them for 7 years now for trapping woodchucks on my property. I've caught 43 in the past 7 years. Took 2-3 years off though for health issues. Got 5 this year along with 5 possums and 3 skunks. I use 160s. Always use a setting tool and safety catch tool when setting them!

I’ll have to look into that. Thanks for the tip!

I don’t know if it’s a solution for you but, I deal with them in .22 fashion. On the upside, it’s still early in the season so you should still recover in time. So other solutions, you’ll hear a thousand remedies from electric fence to flooding to moth balls, garlic, mint…and everything in between. I’ve heard folks using motion activated sprinklers and motion activated screeching machines or lights. In the end, you can use any number of those but my thoughts would be stick with the live traps and any you trap, dispatch to groundhog Valhalla!! The fisher cat and coyote would be a concern more so if you had chickens. Groundhogs are not a pleasant foe because they are rather skittish. I don’t know how your state is, but up here you could use any kind of trap…the risk with that is a wounded pest that’s not your intended target. Perhaps check with your fish and game folks as well. Oh the trials and tribulations!!😖😁👊🏻

Fish and game website says to trap and either relocate on your property, not sure why anyone would do that, or kill them humanely. I'm thinking that's probably my best bet. They also recommend .22, but I'm too close to houses for that. High power pellet gun does the trick. That may or may not be why the coyote and fisher cat were around. Circle of life... I tried spraying a garlic spray, but with watering and rain it doesn't stay long. Like you said, I'm just hoping I don't get the unintended guest like a skunk.

@@Curtis1824 I’m thinkin, if you DO get a skunk….feed it and keep it…THAT might keep the woodchucks away!!😁 You have got to wonder if those folks at fish and game are taking the “catch and release” program a wee bit too far!!😁👊🏻
