What a rediculously amazing Christmas haul! And the cut cord on that awesome Mrs packman arcade is SUPER easy to replace. Lots of vids on RU-vid showing how to do it. Seems daunting at first but once you do it the first time you'll understand how easy it is.

Hello Shiny Brites-- Just a friendly FYI-- To help date old items--- zip codes officially started in 1963-- so anytime you see a manufacturers' city, with no zip code...it's most likely pre- 1965 (it took a while for companies to all get on board) ... so, older stock of: boxes, packaging, instructions, etc., that were printed prior to '63, which had no zip codes, were used up until they ran out of them.

Wow! I cannot believe the things you found! That was so nice of you to offer the man money for the things he was getting rid of

It never occurred to me that they would cut the cords. Although, when I got estimates on cleaning out my family's home after my dad died, the one guy (who wanted thousands of dollars), said he would take almost everything to the dump. He did tell me that he would clip the cords before he trashed the items. It was a no-brainer to go with the the reseller who asked just a few hundred dollars and would donate a large majority of items, sell what he could, and only trash a small amount.

Trash picking is the best! I found a frozen turkey in the trash and made turkey a la king. Don’t forget to look for the star that goes on top of Christmas tree.

It’s not full yet Laura and there’s one thing that pisses me off is when people that collect steel and aluminum and copper and shit like that cut the cords to really nice items that a family can use and for a couple cents on the dollar they ruined the whole object. For instance the Bud Light neon light and other appliances that may be families can use and most of the time items still work until the scrappers come along and cut the cords for copper. The Bud Light sign was probably an easy fix and they always are and they are definitely worth money and I saw some wooden tennis rackets that looked very vintage and they go for a good amount of money lol sometimes I wish I could call you guys as soon as I see stuff and I know you’re overwhelmed because there’s so much stuff but all in all makes me sad to see some things that have to be left behind that could be saved even from my childhood. Still glad you guys are saving things and you guys did a wonderful job today and i’m gonna say it’s one of your best and biggest hauls...By the way what happened to the puppies lol your dogs. I could’ve swore they were in crates when you left and now I don’t see them

I went charity shopping yesterday and brought a vintage mickey T-shirt for £1.50 so pleased with it. I once found a vintage beatrice Potter book - it was 20p, had to throw away due the mold that grow in it.

Car packing tip. clothes you are keeping, use as wrap for fragile items, others lay flat on seats and cargo hold, stack other things on top!
