You can cook pretty much everything in the microwave. You can cook dry pasta, rice, noodles, potatoes, vegetables, oats, etc etc don't need to use only ready meals

I have a Toshiba oven just like that but mine is a regular convection oven AND a microwave oven combination. I love it. Had it for 3 years and haven't used my big oven since. It was a Christmas gift.

Well that was certainly an interesting challenge. I did think the cake looked good but like with all these things it is trial & error and next time you can change the amounts to suit. You can cook lots in the microwave. Potatoes rice pasta oats veggies etc

Also if you have a kettle available you can make couscous or rice noodles they just need to soak in boiling water (but without a kettle can also do them in microwave) then just add some veggies and beans

Haha this was a nice one. I purchased a microwave similar to this one, however it has a lot more functions on it. I sometimes make the garlic bread under the pizza option. However its better in the halo oven which I also purchased years ago when it wasn't even a hype.

The lock on the microwave would have been nice 13 years ago. My son was a little bit younger than 2 years and I was in the bathroom using the facilities and he decided he was going to throw his toy remote control in the microwave. Metal+batteries+microwave does not go together at all 😂

I used my microwave to reheat food some time i start with 30sec stir it the another 30sec until done FYI dont use the popcorn settings to do popcorn it burns it i put mine on 1:30secand watching it i have a picher looking thing to cook it and did the mug cake before in the microwave i could go on with recipe but let you have a wonderful day and keep rising 💚☝️💯

Dancing near a microwave is it a micro-rave 😂😂😂😂😂 I feel like this challenge was missing microwave popcorn! But this challenge brought me back so many memories! My gran couldn’t cook and would always make me them chips when she was minding me! I find ketchup saves them! 😂 Also I had to make a microwave cake for an exam in school and everyone else’s didn’t work out except mine 😂 but I do love a good mug cake it’s handy when just one person wants some cake and there’s so many different you can make them too! And ice cream helps them so much! 😂

😂😂😂 I know Shauna! How did we not get any microwave popcorn 🍿😵😂 Ketchup saves so many things, Emily made a curry the other day and added too many spices and completely messed it up, she then decided to add a load of ketchup and totally redeemed herself 😂😂😂

I love using microwave for jacket potato as so much quicker then the oven when just want one for lunch or don’t have much time . Also my kids used love popcorn 🍿 in the microwave for family film time :) xx

Think a next challenge with microwave is healthier cooking. No process foods. Microwave foods tend to have high sodium content & sugars. Love that you included steam veggies. For the porridge you can just use your normal oats the same way & stay away from the package ones. The package ones are so processed..not great for the body. I love that you made your cakes from scratch .. Try a frozen blackberry mix we a little oats .. 2 mins in microwave. Its a desert that helps with craving sweets & its like eating a berry crumble to me. But its 2 ingredients 2cups frozen blackberry mix. & just small amount 1/4 cup of whole oats... Adjust out needed.

Good point, it's so easy to have the more unhealthy processed food with a microwave but I'm sure it can be done more healthy, it would be more of a challenge. Thank you for the tip about the porridge oats 👌🙂

Crazy to say this but it can easily be done, I used to live off microwave meals & would have to make my own food when my dad went to work so me and my brother used to just have microwave meals as it was quicker.. 💗❤️🫶🏼
