It's called skreeding concrete, it's doing exactly what you said it leves the concrete but not only is it hard work but takes a lot of skill to not only work as a team and not fight eachother but to actually get it to grade not just level. A lot of people tend to think we just lay concrete and level it out and in a way we do but we also have to make sure it's at exact high that we planned for so water is always running off of it and not pooling.
Gotta say that s probably one of the most satisfying pours I've ever watched , feel like we just took the back off a Rolex & watched the magic 😁 one hell of a crew !! Long time coming but it looks amazing 👌
My mom's house got a stamped patio pretty big and yes sealing it sucks every year. I'm definitely doing a sand finish on my house build fir the driveway and any patios
Jesus two years already, man time is just flying. I feel like I just started watching the gate building the series. Congrats on getting this going again.
When I saw the title my guess was that you would use the extra to renforce around the drainage on the front. You put it to use at least so not a complete waste
Nice video man, I own a landscape construction and design company in OC. We do 99% sand finish on our pours. Something we do on all our projects once the job is complete is a light acid wash with muriatic acid and water. Not sure if you have much experience with acid, if Abel or Papa Ryan do I highly recommend it. Helps even out and blotchy spots along with making everything crisp. Good luck on future projects, if you’re interested and need help let me know I’ll come out with one of my lead guys and we’ll help you crush it. Take care!
You already know! Best way to start the week right here! Happy Monday Ryan and Detic! Can’t wait to see what the videos start bringing! Keep up the amazing work!!
Ryno driveway looks really nice. Love your content. I have a suggestion for your leftover concrete in the future. You should get a 55 gallon drum drill a hole in it and place a bar through it that fit your 3 point on your tractor. Put your leftover in it this will get you a heavy counter weight when you are moving heavy things with your tractor.
Ryno, love the videos brotha. I also have a concrete pour tomorrow morning here in Texas 600yds and I agree with you concrete pours are fun I enjoy them especially going vertical doing a building. long time subscriber and I ROCK your brand at work on my truck and hardhat
You should make a u shape mold long enough to make large cement burnout pad out of the extra piece's of cement left over and you're rob pit makes a great spot for cement you can't deal with
Man.. Those guys are killing it. I Helped a buddy of mine pull a bar like that because one of his crew guys was sick and he asked if I'd lend a hand for the day. I wanted to learn about doing concrete. I pulled that bar with him for about 100ft of a 2.5 car wide driveway. By the time we were done for the day, I'm pretty sure my sweat kept the concrete moist and I couldn't stand up straight without my back feeling like I was being stabbed. Kudos to them, That stuff is not for the weak lol
Nice job to all those guys, turned out really nice. Also, I'm not much of a concrete guy, but I've seen a lot of videos and the concrete looks really wet, like an 8 or 9 slump🤔
I feel like over hear in the Midwest we do not use pumps for driveways and all that bc of slump/mix at least where im at its big stones in the mix just easier to buggy it around and cheaper imo.
Looks amazing. I'm curious tho, and sorry if you mentioned it but have you thought about mud getting tracked in from the road? I think you should put in a farm wheel bath so you don't get mud tracked in on the driveway.
Concrete looks great, love seeing the guys work in unison like that, so satisfying... Side note, harbor freight makes some great, cost effective tools, I shop there all the time. that being said, in your last video you talked about switching all your milwaukee stuff to them, I really hope you're not just saying that because they send you free stuff but because you actually believe it. Milwaukee blows them out of the water on all aspects, from durability to power to quality to pretty much everything except for price, but I feel like you should know more than anyone, you get what you pay for. I dont like to say Im a milwaukee fanboy but i guess I am. Feel like its warranted though given their reputation
Do you plan on having a real security guard in there? Or is just something to make the gate look fancy or just for events and parties and if so, are you gonna put a porter potty out there next to it?
As an “east coast guy” if it’s 1/2 trucks we probably use the whitemen. If it’s more or we have curbs then we would pump it. Most of the time we use booms so we don’t need guys to move and brake down the hose. They are usually at the job to move material if it’s too tight for a skid steer or we don’t want to mess the site up too much.
I really getting annoyed that you are not at 1 million subs yet. Luke what the hell are they waiting on. Oh yeah it's that work for it slogan. People don't do that these days lol. Keep the videos coming
