*"Choose your starter by naming a pokemon it's weak against."* This is referring to the typing alone. If your starter is a Machop (fighting), then you say it's weak against Jigglypuff (Normal/Fairy). Don't say the types, just say the pokemon. There are mind games to be played. I was thinking about "strong against" originally, but that doesn't work for normal types.

I love that, honestly. If you had a Calyrex Ice Rider on your screen you could say it's weak to Beautifly and you wouldn't even be lying! Then when your opponent starts going "oh, you're going to name weak Pokemon if you want to trick me into picking that one, I see" you could start using Pokemon like Parasect over, like, Sudowoodo if you want them to avoid that. Lots of potential mind games... The one potential pitfall I can see them running into is if they don't take dual typings into account quite right and end up saying a Pokemon is weak to something that's actually neutral against it, like how Ludicolo wouldn't be weak against a Rillaboom.

Doing a TwB where a third person comes in to read Pokémon trivia. Whoever buzzes in AND gets it right first, get's some sort of pick advantage. Either They get to pick both people's starter for the round, or get a buff.

Y'all should do one taking turns choosing turns starters. Each turn one of you chooses mons and decide one you wanna take, one you want the opponent to take, and one to be skipped out on. Do it 6 times and battle

@@Devilhand21 I don’t but with a swords dance it’s not impossible for him to ko stuff he has like base 107 attack. I’m not entirely sure cause the stats and numbers in Pokémon aren’t my cup of tea

I’m removing them because everything you stated is old. They have completely remodeled their company since. Hence why so many RU-vidrs have been promoting them. I even have so many friends who have been helped by them.

Hope the remodel works better then. Gonna stay off it myself regardless, but hope the remodel actually ends up being a good platform. And either way, I guess then it is more a matter that people should do their research before buying sponsor products in any case to make their own decision.

1:15 not having the game properly randomized is an L in that moment. On the other hand, with the sponsor segment transition starting with a mention of the upcoming wedding, that whole scenario is a major W that outweighs any negative vibes whatever it may be - and I think this segment conveys that whatever stresses come, it's always good to have someone to talk to; that's a big aspect in a relationship and I couldn't be happier for Tobin and Jordan, congrats again and can't wait for the adventures to come

i think fun weird way to pick starter would be the very last letter in pokemon name beacuse it easy to maybe work out frist letter but if able to work out from master your pokemon master

How about choosing by evolution method? So either the way something evolves into the pokemon, or how it evolves into domething else (and if it's multiple like middle evo or split evo, you get to pick). So maybe there's an "evolves at level 14", "Evolves via friendship at night", and a "doesn't evolve to/from anything" as the starter options.

You could decide your starters by having someone not involved in the battle look back over the random names you guys have given to Pokémon in previous battles, the names are the only information each person is given before making their choice. Rinse and repeat until you both have full teams.

How about a full RNG match using dice? Both players can see each other's starters, and to pick the person rolls a normal 6 sided dice (cause who doesn't have a 6-sided die?). 1-2 player picks left, 3-4 center, and 5-6 right. That way it's completely to chance what you get, so if you get something stinky it's no one's fault ... but ya can still tease each other about it. That, or your opponent can't see your starters so it's a 100% blind surprise until the fight starts!
