We played three hours of From Software's first and only DLC for Elden Ring, and it's shaping up to be special. Check out Tamoor's thoughts on his time with Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. #gaming #eldenring #gamespot
@@greenidgejonathan07 my guy, no developer is going to shorten their game just to win an award 😂 Greed and profit would be a far better motivation for them to do so.
@@ryanwaasdorp Wouldn't have to "shorten their game" as a DLC is just an extension of a base game. There could easily be a category for that for games who release a DLC.
@AvalonDreamz ?? I think you misunderstood me. I agree that there should be a different category for DLC in the Game Awards. I was pointing out the fallacy of the other guy.
@@Pnthrx SILENCEEEEEE DO NOT DARE DISRESPECT MY LORD ! That peasant Mesmir has never faced a warrior like the lord of cash!! He will fold his ahh up in less than 30 deaths !!! ALLLLLL HAILLLLLLL
The video is not his playthrough. Everyone who attended the event was given the same video footage to upload. No one was allowed to record footage of their own.
I watch all Fextralife's build guides. Such variation even after two years. I then consider what I want my build to be and just carry on using Blasphemous Blade and chucking Gurranq rocks.
@@chriskotte8468 that be me. Need to remember not to max out everything or you just become too OP. I don't blame the devs and neither should it be their responsibility to stop you upgrading too far.
Lads, ladies, I can’t recommend enough just ignoring everything you can, and experiencing everything the DLC has to offer, in context, in game. It’s 10X more impactful seeing a boss for the first time after crossing a fog gate, than it is seeing it in the promotional material. Your reaction is -“oh look, it’s that guy from the trailer”. I get that some people need reviews and marketing and other random peoples opinions before spending their money, but most of us are just 100% getting the new Fromsoft release.
little mistake there, the events do not predate the golden order the dlc takes place at the same time as the base game, the lore behind it is what predates it
Low key - the only thing that drives me nuts in this game is how you can’t put your 2h on your back, it’s always on your shoulder and you never sheathe your sword 🗡️ Idk why they don’t add those features 🤦🏻♂️
Just more of the same. Don't bother. It's great to see a reviewer having fun and toying with shitposters with the review from a place of fun. Very cool stuff.
I hope they release some kind of info list of what the new weapons and weapon types scale with so we can respec and make a proper build before going in.
I know i am a P***Y. I just quitted at last boss. I felt it wasnt fun anymore. I havent played in a week or so. But now i feel like continuing. Specially when DLC comes. Im afraid to go in again against last boss 🤣
Try summoning some help from other players. It really helped me through my first playthrough, especially millenia and the last boss. There is no shame in having a hard time in these games 😅
I have the same setup and it looks incredible. I play on a 4k Samsung monitor maxed out settings with medium ray trace and the game runs perfect and looks amazing.
I like how ign and iron pineapple uploaded a review on this at the same time. You can obviously tell which one has more effort in the review..... Well anyways bye im going to iron pineapple
Good game but highly overrated. Definitely not a “masterpiece “. That’s ridiculous. That word gets tossed around too easily anymore. A masterpiece doesn’t have a story that you have to piece together and even once you do it’s lackluster. And I really like the game, but don’t see anything innovative or new or game changing the game brought to the world. This game is definitely not a masterpiece. It’s really fun and has great gameplay and exploration, but that’s about where it stops.
In that case I'm curious as to what criteria would a game should have to be called a masterpiece? And it would be nice if you could provide me with some example of an existing games? if it exist at all in your humble opinion. Would also love some insight on what Fromsoftware, with decades of experience in making video game can do to improve Elden Ring to be considered a 'masterpiece' in your respective standard?
@@zuriswalker614 I don’t think theres anything they could do to make it a “masterpiece”. It’s not my standard, it’s just that word is used to casually these days. Yes from soft has decades of experience but so what? That doesn’t automatically make the game a masterpiece. I don’t really know if there is a game I would call a masterpiece right now, unless it’s one that does something new that hasn’t been done already. There are probably less than 5-6 games that could qualify as that ever. Some criteria to me would be being something new that changes the face of gaming and has never been done before. Elden ring while great is nothing new. It was Dark souls 3 with an open world. Open worlds had been done before Elden ring and just as good ie Breath of the wild, red dead 2, etc. Plus the dark souls style had been done by from soft themselves. So it’s nothing hugely innovative or game changing. So to me that shouldn’t be called a masterpiece. The very first hugely open world game with exploration like that would be considered a masterpiece maybe because they would be doing it first and changing gaming. I say all this as a big fan of the game. It’s great but to me it’s not a masterpiece because it didn’t do anything that had not been done before. That’s my opinion, other people throw that word around way easier than I would. To me a game has to be basically perfect to be called a masterpiece and I’m not sure if there are many like that.
@@joshnizzle Fair enough, then From and the whole game industries have a long way to go if they're going to measure to your standards. Let's just hope that we'd get there someday and finally find a game that truly deserve the word masterpiece. Thanks for your reply 👍
@@zuriswalker614 not really. The whole industry has put out games that at the time of release would have been called masterpieces, like when Zelda ocarina of time released it was probably a masterpiece. By today’s standards it isn’t. But back then it was. Standards change over time it gets harder and harder to be called a masterpiece because of the simple fact that most good things have been done before. I’m not saying there have never been masterpieces just that it’s getting hard to be considered one because it’s hard to do something that hasn’t already been done.
They're good games but the Souls community is a bunch of crybabies who don't want others to enjoy playing the games. Worst community in gaming tbh, worse than League and CoD
