Every time I see one of these videos it makes me want one more and more. My 15 Rallye is begging to get RIPPed. I'd love to leave my Rallye decals on my car so the RT guys see it and know it's a v6...then get smoked LOL!
This reminds me of the procharger kit that was made for the 3.7L mustang around 2011-12 that delivers 475hp (crank). I nearly pulled the trigger on it, but had a sweet opportunity to get a 5.0 so I did. But I seriously was going to do it, and with that if I had a 3.6L charger I would do the same. Good gas mileage if ur foot not in it, scatpack/392 rival in power, and looking back at some wtf faces as u pass them up. Hell yea, I would do it.
Holy Smokes! 442 HP at the rear wheels! Impressive! Is this from the base HP tune that comes with the kit? That's what I'm running and hope to achieve this as well.
@@tawajnmitchell5852 Correct! I found that forged internals is the way to go to up boost and horsepower for this setup. It will require work and a custom tune as well by a reputable performance shop.
Man you guys are pushing the envelope! Glad to see you all capitalizing on this niche market. It would be hilarious if you started showing race comparisons with the 5.7L and 6.4L (1/4 mile, 1/8 mile, and 0 to 60). You would 'boost' your popularity 10 fold! And also make some V8 owners on noticed😎😈
So for accurate numbers the 2018 Charger Track Pack makes 259.5whp give or take depending on how hot the day is, with an added Ripp exhaust 267whp so the exhaust adds 7.5whp depending on how hot the day is but from the dyno video its 7.5whp. Now adding the Ripp Supercharger to the stock engine would produce 434.5whp and with the exhaust as the dyno shows 442whp. Either way with or with out the exhaust the Ripp Supercharger gained +175whp which is pretty awesome. Not quite 200 wheel horsepower yet though. Yet if anyone can do it, it would be Ripp keep up the great work. Your making V6 mopar power look really GOOD right now. Be blessed #Ripp
Very excited I just got stationed in Hawaii in the usn and my supercharger should be done getting installed tomorrow along with the coil pack unfortunately no one in Hawaii can custom tune mopar out here. So will I loose a lot of horsepower because I don’t have anyone to fine tune my car if I only have to rely on the base tune
If they would lower it, would definitely do it, no question. But $6k for a supercharger plus $ on the tune. Man. That’s a little too steep for me. The reason I got a v6 is b/c I couldn’t afford the V8.
You gotta pay to play it ain’t expensive if you save up it’s worth it in the end reasonable price and find a local shop to give you a good quote for tuning and install and you’ll only be spending less then 10k for v8 power it’s a win for me.
@@bugniandrew9437 if you put 10k down on a scatt pack you can walk out with the same payments as a sxt is you find a good dealership with decent deals trust me I learned the hard way
@@MrEvilTag yeah, I know that now. It appears that the gains that come from coils get negated when properly tuned too. There's other bolt-on parts that can be added to get very close 400 at the wheels though.
I have a 2019 gt charger not sure what body shop to trust in Las Vegas also all the upgrades to get for it besides the super charger any info would be greatly appreciated
We've had no issues with the transmission taking this amount of power. We even tow with our RAM making 440whp an the transmission has held up perfectly.
Cars are moving on the street, providing airflow just like the fan does. A dyno provides a figure in a standardized manner (road force mimicked by rollers) for the entirety of the automotive industry.
Hoping to hop on this bandwagon next year...once I am done with this home reno crap. I sit and wonder what it will take to put 450 to the ground...guess I will find out soon enough.
Thank you for the comment, that is a great question. The answer to that is: Completely!!! We build and test all of our kits on stock vehicles, so we make sure that the transmission can handle our kits. Also, check out this video, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZS2yF9dAkkU.html , for more frequently asked questions.
Hey, would it be possible to adapt one of your kits to fit a pentastar equipped Caravan or Town and Country? I think that would be a first from anybody and definitely a big video on here. Would love feed back!!
Super reliable, we have sold over 8000 kits worldwide and we're most known for our reliability. We have a less than .01% fail rate across all platforms with some clients driving over 150k miles on the supercharger kit and over 200k miles total.
@@MrEvilTag yes, but the official rating for the ZF HP45 transmission is 450 nM or 380 ft-lb and I imagine that the gearing in the rear differential is engineered for the same amount. Now, there's going to be factors of safety, but before getting too much further than this car I'd want to start upgrading the tranny and the rear end.
@@JoshuaWilliamsMA83 in the last four years of selling V6 Grand Cherokee and Durango kits who tow trailers no one has reported blown transmissions. We think the factory underrated the numbers.
Hello @markwatson2446 We do not currently have mechanics on staff to perform installations at this time, but, there are speed shops and installers all over the world. I’d contact your local shop or you can simply search the internet for speed shops near you. An effective method for finding local shops is to go to google and search the following terms. “* enter your city * Dyno Tuner”, this should populate all speed shops in your area.
I want to order mine with the same tune that is in this car. why cant i have that when i order? lol I live in PA and altitude is not far off. is this on 93 octane? 0r E85? if you said it then i missed it.
@@RIPPMODS OK, SO a friend of mine had his installed and with your tune it came with it made 325hp to the wheels and they had to tune further to get it to 399whp. so why was his hp so low?
@@09fatbobmike exactly - every car is different - the kit is sold with the express understanding that we will not push it to the limit, it's not safe for us to assume its the same as our in house tester. Just becasue you put on running shoes doesn't mean you can run a marathon - you have to train. Same thing here, the equipment is there, you have to dial it in.
@@RIPPMODS Maybe i am confused. I thought the car in this video has the tune that comes with the kit??? if so why would it make 442 and another car with same setup make 325? This tester car had to have more tuning right? SOrry. i am on the fence about getting the kit but i am afraid that they dyno tuner around here will not tune it right.
@@09fatbobmike The variable is the car and it's adaptives. The car and the kit can make the power. 325 is so low there has to be an underlying issue somewhere that's not being addressed in your friends car. You can't believe that 11psi only yields 60hp can you? I mean we have 1000s of kits sold and 100s of V6 cars in the mid 400s. The end tuner will add timing and find power in your car, it's that simple.
You're welcome to come by anytime and consult, we do not install at our facility however we have dealers all around the world including the tri-state area.
Hello, please visit www.rippmods.com we have a dealers page with world maps of RIPP dealers. You can also email sales@rippmods.com for more information
Why spend $8000 plus $32000 you do your Math is it really worth it? 🤔The 2018 Dodge Charger has a base MSRP of $28,995 for the SXT trim; theSXT Plus starts at $30,495. Our AWD GT starts at $32,995 and a GT Plus starts at $35,995. Of course, if you want V8 power over AWD, the R/T trim starts at $35,495, and the Daytona starts at $38,995.Mar 23, 2018
this is on par with the 6.1 6.4 . the 5.7 would be beneath it after the SC. and where do you get 8k from? the kit alone is 5500... and plus 32k?! .. you can get an sxt with less than 10k miles for under 22k easy ...
Look at is this way: you could buy a fully loaded SXT for the price of a base RT, then RIPP it and have a car comparable in power to a SRT waaaaaay below the cost of a SRT. And that's assuming you buy the SXT brand new. Say you get a SXT for about $20k with under 25k miles (so still fairly low miles) and add the RIPP kit for $7k (I'm adding a little extra for tuning and install). Then you'll have a sub $30k car putting down SRT numbers. And the most important part is you still get v6 insurance costs and great gas mileage!
LOTS of SXTs on rental lots that are sold cheap! In the north & especially in Canada most are the GT’s(awd). How boss would it be to have over 400whp and hook from a dead stop=THIS is where it’s at!
@@quikgt its called wider tires with knowing how to launch and if youre really concered about the drag strip then get DR and higher gears. there you go
My 2018 was $24k. The same dealership (and area dealerships) were wanting $8k more for the base R/T and $18-20k for the SRT's. For $1500 worth of aftermarket parts, the SXT can make (naturally aspirated) R/T power and near R/T torque at 300lbs less weight. Throwing on a RIPP kit for around $7k gives you SRT power and you still have room to grow with those other $1500 worth of parts. So, for less than half the cost of an SRT, you can make SRT power and weigh 400 lbs less than an SRT. Plus, gas and insurance are considerably cheaper. Given that math, it's a no brainier if you're looking for a super fun, practical, economical every day driver.
NOPE because if we dont the uneducated public thinks we added 50whp.... and start thinking we're adding bogus HP. We are then left typing the message over and over and over and over......🤯
