You’ve thought of everything! Good work. We are two seniors remodeling (somewhat) our bathroom. My husband (age74) has crawled in our attic (no crawl space in FL) in the heat to run a power line for a new area where an unused bathtub used to be. Plus putting in Sheetrock, muddling, sanding, painting,. Next is new flooring, and wainscoting in the old tub area. It’s fun watching your progress.

You should see the faces I make working under our vehicles. Its nice to see you had plenty to work with as far as mounting a hitch. I put one on our Forester and it was not as easy as they made it sound. Fishing piano wire with bolts attached is like trying to fish for acorns from a hole in a tree. Always use a center punch before starting your hole, that keeps the drill bit from wandering.

You can buy either longer receivers or an extension that is just what it sounds like. Male pin on one end with a female on the other about 4" longer. May even have several different lengths. A height adjustable receiver would probably also work! Keep in mind the more pieces you add the more noisy it will be while towing!
