My husband would have an Otter at home in a heartbeat, but our European Otters in Scotland don't make good pets and are illegal to keep at home. Thankfully he gets to swim with several in one of our local Lochs, they're surprisingly friendly and curious even as wild animals.

That's so beautiful! I wish Japan would still have otters in the wild, too. I think people today would take better care of them and not kill them all for food like they did in the past.

North American River Otters don't make good pets either, they're too random and rambunctious. Your husband is very lucky to have otter friends, though. I'm glad to hear that British otters are returning! It's a good sign that nature is recovering.

I got caught up in the image of the Japanese being highly civilised and caring fir the cleanliness of their environment, but that black blind spot of horrific cruelty and shortsighted stupidity with regard to cetaceans is still there. I know all about the whaling for "scientific purposes" (UGH) and the cove in Taiji and was sorry the Tsunami hit so many places, but failed to wipe out their whaling fleet and that horrid place. Sadly, you are right there. 😪

I pay attention to Aty swimming for a long time already. Aty likes to swim with its right hand only. Sometimes it’s left hand is not moving I love u ,Aty. Wish. I can watch ur video forever
