The continuation of my western road trip. I stop down in Denver to visit a girl I just met the week before and end up writing a song and taking a bunch of photos on my film camera. I get back to my grass roots mind set from my early 20's and decide to head north to Minnesota to start something I've wanted to accomplish since the 3rd grade.

Sunday morning ritual is now this. 1.Wake up to notification that Trout and Coffee uploaded a new video. 2. Brew a cup of coffee and grab some yogurt and granola. 3. Sit back in my recliner, grab the headphones and soak in the story. - even if I can only escape this crazy world we are living in, I'm happy to say I did through this video. Stumbled across your channel... Amazing. My wife and I (As your parents we imagine) Grew up doing just that. Tents and rustic cabins. As we aged it was luxury cabins and hotels. Now in our later years we live in a standard home we've designed around rustic cabins and state park landscaping. Not many people understand when you're in the forest. It knows you're there. =)

haha! Thanks a lot John! And I don't usually have problems as I often don't show people's face. Also, I shoot a lot on my iPhone which is very inconspicuous. At the end of the day, I always try to be respectful of people and not make them uncomfortable when I'm filming. And I want to make it up to the boundary waters sometime! Heard so many cool stories. As soon as I get some $$$, I will purchase my favorite brand film Camera. There are things one can do with a Negative under your own enlarger in a Darkroom, that you just cannot do with Digital Imaging.

Wow, that's incredible to hear William! Right on! I'm sorry to hear you got hurt at work but the opportunity to write and take pictures again could be life changing! I assume you were asking about what photo camera to get on my patreon.. If you give me your budget and what you're looking to shoot I can give you more specific recommendations. For the notebook, I got it at a little shop and it holds a standard staples notepad perfectly. I've found that writing on notepads is my favorite as we always had them in the house as a kid and it feels familiar and very human. I'd have to look up the brand that made the leather holder, but a notepad is definitely a place to start!

Wow.You’re a vibe.😊Amazing story teller with a beautiful spirit. So happy I get it. 🙌🏽🙌🏽 I believe photography is in my genes. My Gran loved photography. Every weekend at her house was a photo shoot. When she wasn’t taking pictures, I’d peruse the 3 photo albums she had(so happy they’re mine now😊). My dad was a photo lab technician for a few years in the late 70s/early 80s. He loved it but gave it up because he said the job didn’t pay enough to raise a family. I have 2 of my grandma’s cameras: 1 Kodak & one Polaroid the front of both resemble an accordion. Any idea where I can get film? I took them to one local camera shop and the guy had no idea, so they’re tucked away in a drawer for now. Thanks for this video. A much needed distraction.

BandH also has a ton of film. I would say Ebay would be your best bet for polaroid film. I hope you can find something!! Thank you so much for tuning in! :)

Thanks a lot Peter! Currently I'm in the middle of catcher in the rye. I've been reading all the books they forced us to read in high school because I figured I'd actually appreciate them now. Also been into some Hemingway. Old man and the sea and the sun also rises. I haven't read much in the past month but with the coming of summer I'll probably get into some John Geriach to get me excited for fly fishing!

Thanks Andrew! I mainly use a Pentax k1000 that my dad gave me from the 70's. Such a good camera, has all the basics and nothing extra that you don't need.
