We have lived a similar life next door in Wa. Built our own home in 1996 on our little farm Raised 5 homeschool kiddos. We Now enjoy our grandkids in the same home we played with their parents. Blending yesterday's memories with today's joys is simply priceless. We are now in our 60's and are still building! Pole barn with apartment for our daughter, last year and new shop for hubby this year! Enjoy watching your channel, keep up the good work.

I want this for our kid's. People think we're nuts, but we really want to keep them close. Eventually one will inherit this house and my husband and I will build a small A frame down back further into the woods with the most incredible view. We really want all our kid's and grandkid's to live here off this land with us. ❤

Your ending really hit home me because after my divorce I then became a Single Dad to 3 great kids. I focused everything I had on them to teach them that at least 1 parent did care. We as husband and wife always watch your channel and because we are a very tight family of 1 girl and 3 boys we can resonate with you and your family. My husband passed away suddenly last week. at the end of this video with your words of wisdom as we called them I just changed the sentiments to a man husband/Dad and not Mother. My Wife, of nearly 42 years, passed away in January 2024, we were Married in Feb 1982. When she was diagnosed with NHL-Cancer, December 2021. She was already Stage-3 with 30 tumors. Radiation & Chemo, killed 29 of 30. The last One wouldn't let go. Thank You God, she is no longer in pain! Blessed me with her ❤️ and 2 Children. Add 2 Grand Children. My Wife & Your Husband? We WILL SEE THEM AGAIN! 😊 😃 😀 MOTHERS DAY! You are not alone.

We left Montana 45 years ago to begin our work life journey but every year we have returned and our first stop is always the Falls. We have watched it change over the years but when I stand along the banks of the river I know I'm home.

So beautiful. It brought tears to my eyes. Losing my son at the age of 38 yrs old in November and my daughter having terminal cancer at the age of 36 yrs old makes you definitely grateful for any memories you had and have. Every single one counts cause you never know when you dont get any more. I love your beautiful family. So sweet.

To all of you who raised them well, even the gr-child/ren, mine after his Daddy's passing, but who as adults have chosen to follow the ways of the sinful world and its dark side; please be encouraged and comforted. God sees the love and effort you put in to raising them right ,and he sees the tears you cry daily for their adult choices that are the complete opposite to everything you taught them. You areloved just as deeply by our Heavenly Father and pray your day will be blessed by God bcos you truly made the effort and sacrifice but as yet have not reached the rewards as those Mums whose kids stayed on the path they were raised on. Melissa I always love your commentary at the end of each video but the words you shared for Mother’s Day rang true to the hearts of mothers everywhere. As I sit here in a remote campground where I'm spending my spring, summer and fall.I have said goodbye to my family as they make their way home for another work week. Your words of wisdom filled my heart. Because I too believe that motherhood is the most important job and now a Grammy of nine...well that's priceless! My little piece of land looks over a pond,with a field of green, and the backdrop of pines, beyond is a fast pace river. The only thing that could make it better is your mountians! Ahh, so true for us moms! And your right about the waterfalls. A hike to see waterfalls for me is about 4/5 hours away by car, not including the hike. And its nowhere as pretty as your waterfa!l. So I just enjoy the nearby lakes. And get into them at a comfortable temperature. That's southern Arizona for you. Nice! 😊 God bless yo all.

I live in north centeral PA. I love spring, watching nature coming back to life. Taking in everything that YAHUAH has created. The views from my home and all around us are simply breathtaking. I just wanna cry happy tears because of the joy that's rushing through my soul. So much of this world would be so beautiful if people would take better care of it. Your hike looked amazing and seeing that water did take my breath away. I'm not sure that i would wanna leave once you got me there. ❤❤❤❤

We use to do the same thing to my late husband, Bob was totally afraid of heights. the bridges used to terrify him. But my daughter and I would get in the middle and swing it back-and-forth and he would almost need for us to come and hold his hand across and we would laugh. Great memories.

This video brought back my own family memories at Kootenai Falls. I have (pre digital) pics of my kids on that hike. Even the same memory of walking one daughter across tha bridge - due to her (Understandable) fear of heights. The kids were teens and all have kids of thier own - one kid - has furry kids (kittys) - So appreciate seeing this for my own memories. I hope it is ok that I took a few screenshots of the views (without your family in of course) My pre-digital pics are so poor compared to what I saw - love your updates - Jerry

Unfortunately, the vermiculite from the Libby MT, mine was contaminated with a toxic and highly friable form of asbestos called tremolite-actinolite series asbestos . Personally I stay out there!

Oh my goodness, yesterday the 24th, my hubby and I, son and DIL took a trip up to the Gathering Place for lunch. Oh, so good! Side note: couldn't have any of those delicious looking sweet goodies, but lunch was wonderful. Our adventure continued on into Montana and the Kootenai Falls. What a spectacular treat. As I was in each place, I had wondered if the Souza Family would pop in. Guess I missed you all a couple weeks late. Thanks for mentioning both of these places, it definitely is something you don't want to miss.

you are in my neck of the woods i wonder have you ever went further toward libby mt and went to Ross trail of cedars it is impressive too and a must see . the new bridge looks so much better now that my knee has healed i can hike to it and cross even though i am deathly afraid of heights i crossed the old one twice truly a great place to be where we are at

TN has lots of falls that are a short hike from a roadside parking area. Many of our motorcycle rides included stops for a hike to some falls.

From what I could see, those 'new' zip panels look like a combination of osb ply, and particle board. Which would explain the extra weight. (Even heavier than just a double thick osb panel.) I gave you advice some years ago, to use a c-clamp on the edge of the panel, as a handle, to get it up on the roof. That might have helped here. Then again, in the cramped quarters, it might have gotten in the way as well.

Oh my goodness! So beautiful up there! If, big if, I took an hour hike around here, I’d still be in sand and cactus! I could drive about 35 minutes, and be up near 10,000 ft. In elevation, on Mount Lemmon, Arizona. I used to live up there when my kids were younger. Loved it up there! Streams and a few small lakes. Love being a mom! Very thankful for my daughter and son!

Hello from County Durham UK ❤️ missed you. Beautiful family. My boys are in their 30’s now, my youngest is a dr of music and lives 300 miles away teaching A level students at college, but he rings me every day sometimes 2 or more hours at a time to talk about his students progress, his frustrations as a teacher and all the crap they put up with here in the UK, but like you, I wouldn’t have this any other way. My eldest and I are coming over to the USA for 3 weeks in September, next year my boys and I are planning a trip to Japan. What mother gets this opportunity with her sons? It’s a blessed feeling and an honour. Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers. X

Love all 4 of my kids. I remember the first ma ma. Then mommy moves onto mom. Now it’s all but mostly momma. Just wait til grandma or mine is LaLa. Totally different kinda love from grand babies. My kids are 26,31,36 and 40. Enjoy it all. Happy mother’s Day! God bless you and your family 🙏😊❤️🇺🇸

I really enjoy watching your beautiful family .its amazing what you have built , I can’t believe how clever you are. Your love of animals is wonderful, I miss your dear sweet dog , what an amazing family he had . I am British, married with three children and we have 7 grandchildren. My husband and I moved to Spain 7 years ago. Thank you for sharing your life.
