What a rough slate. We better bring a hoe or two when we visit :D We're very excited for you. Hope all goes through quickly so you don't miss too much of spring gardening. Looking forward to the next videos
Fantastic purchase especially if you do plan to re-wild the land returning it to it's natural state, love the owls. What an exciting project, look forward to seeing how things develop.
Wow, so it seems like you’ve got a big, fat budget lined up for that plan and the family demands-or at least, you’d better hope so! Trust me, I’ve lived in BG for ±20 years, so I know how it goes... Good luck! As a long-term Western expat fluent Bulgarian, I can tell you, I have doubts. Also, I've truly assimilated by adopting the Bulgarian superpower: focusing primarily on the negatives of every idea! So, hey-good luck, you'll need it!
Can't wait to see all of your plans take shape! Have you checked Kris Harbour Natural Building? He has done a lot with hydro power as well as solar and wind.
Mate, if you have a stream then it guarantees power in the winter months when solar is minimal. Even a small amount of flow can charge a few batteries over night. If you are back in Oryahovo then please let me know and I'll pop out and see you.
@@iosilver9920 I really tried but we couldn't find anything suitable with running water on site. I don't think anyone would care if I used the stream, so we'll see maybe one day 😉 I'll give you a shout next time 👍🏼
The scenery is so pretty like those 4K Nature 10 hour videos. Spring in Bulgaria looks nice and the birds chirping too. Btw the field looks ready to plant potatoes XD You should consider leaving a part of it like this for gardening vegetables or flowers. Its tough to get a heavy machinery mid nowhere to turn over the ground like this expensive too
Thank you! Yes we might grow a load of something to make the most of it this year. But we're going to be too busy to do a lot. Eventually most of the land will be producing food or useful plants / trees. It's very exciting!
Have you checked the details of the planning permission? There may be permission for a farm building but not necessarily a farm per se. Always best to be sure before you fully commit.
Yes, triple checked. It's one of the main reasons we went for this plot over some of the others we were considering. Much more will be revealed next week 😊✌🏼
