Lola is such a wonderful. I love the way she stops at her property line. Climbing the ladder. Makes everything that’s yours hers. I’m losing my dog right now and Lola reminds me so much of his outrageous puppy days.

I just spent a solid week binging your videos since you moved to Panama and you guys seriously have become my favorite people. Your channel is so different from any other "vanlife vlog couple" I've watched... and I've watched a lot lol. You two are so down to earth, genuine, positive, and informative. Plus you can tell that you two sincerely love each other, lola, and your lives in Panama. So happy I found you guys! Much love, stay safe 💛

Hi y’all from Raleigh North Carolina. I’ve been following your life since before you chose to hunker down in Panama, yet I’ve never commented! Just wanted to say that it is a highlight to my day when I watch one of your videos. The teamwork you two possess is inspiring. I adore you two and wish you a very fruitful garden. Don’t be sad about the seedlings, they will grow again. I’m super stoked to see the greenhouse completed. Stay safe, and sweet to one another. Xo, Monica 🥰

Hi guys love your great positive attitude and hard work and wish the very best for you. A simple way to get rid of grass and weeds is to lay down heavy cardboard or place a tarp over the area for several days. A great way to do it is put cardboard down then place about 6” of good compost on top and plant seedlings in the compost. Best of luck and keep up the good work!

I am fascinated by everything you guys do, the patience you have (at least on camera), the tanacity to complete what you've set out to do. I admire the heck out of both of you. I'm almost 67 and none of what you do is in my future but even when I was 30 or 40 years younger I would never have had the inner strength to do what you do. Keep up the great work and I'll keep watching your videos and being fascinated!

Covering your smaller, younger plants with cloches (plastic or glass covers) is a quick and easy way to protect them from wind. You can protect taller, more established plants by tying them to stakes or other supports.

Lived the nightmare of wind damage to our carport structures......twice. I had two carport structures 12'x24' anchored to 2x6s that ran the length of the structures. First windstorm flipped them and shredded the plastic canvas. I replaced the canvas with several 'generations' of lightweight canvas over a period of years. I also added strategically placed pillar blocks on the 2x6s. Second windstorm (accompanied with a covering of snow) flipped one carport structure and lifted the other one and bounced all over our car Best of luck with the greenhouse.

You two are so inspiring! I think a lot of young people are reevaluating their values and priorities during this pandemic. I sense more people will be finding land and creating homesteads. The way Jordan appreciated the ax was precious and I hope all the axes bring you incredible joy, for that will be infused into the work you do with them :-)

That's Bermuda grass. It loves it when you till it. Plant your plants in the dirt, then put newspaper or cardboard all around them to keep the grass from reaching the surface. Pull them out carefully when they try to grow up around your plants.

Glad to see you getting a wood shop together. If I might suggest a first big project to do in your workshop- build a proper woodworking workbench. Don't just throw a table together and think that's going to be good enough. A proper workbench is worth it's weight in gold. There's a surprising amount of thought that goes into workbench design to make your life easier. Also, make sure you have plenty of storage room for the lumber you mill up. It has to dry before it's useful. Otherwise anything you build will just warp and crack apart within a year or two. And it takes a long time to air dry lumber under the best of conditions. On a semi-related note- if you have access to Amazon, why are you so dependent on the hardware store for sundries like screws? Those self tapping ones you bought aren't meant to be used on wood. Get yourself a big bucket of construction screws and you'll be good for a long while.

haha I left the house a few days ago and when I got to the store I couldn't find my face mask. I'd dropped it in my house before I went outside. So I drove 9 minutes home to get it. When I got back I forgot that that store only accepted cash, not credit card, so I drove home again and got cash!! At least I didn't need to stop at an ATM. And then I went back and they had everything for me I paid in cash and told them to keep the 70 cents in covid infected coins. lol I got to the car and couldn't find my phone! Walked back in the store to see if I'd left it there but I didn't remember carrying it in because that just makes the phone another source of cross contamination. Not there. Searched the parking lot and FINALLY found that the phone had fallen under the driver's seat of the car!!! I just had to laugh at the whole comedy of foolishness.

Advice for your problem with growing Swiss chard in the wind: Swiss chard will grow like a weed in a patch of grass, plant the seeds in bare patches of dirt in between tall grass and weeds and it will grow in that spot much like a dandelion and be protected from the wind by the surrounding grass and weeds. Kale and mustard greens can also be grown that way, I have a densely packed patch of kale, purple mustard greens, and various weeds in my yard that I never weed, because the kale and mustard are unaffected by growing in a patch of weeds and grow as well as they would in bare dirt, and the weeds hold the soil in place and give the bugs and chickens something else to eat..

So I really don't get out all that much , but value the time that I do . I have a small dog that goes wherever I do . That could be to grab a coffee and just sit and chill at the beach . It's just a few miles from home . I go to many dirt stock car races, but they are still off limits . One thing you have is each other . I like watching you two together , your dog and the cows add to a good day .

I would suggest to drill through your 2x4 and put a eye bolt in 4 spots of your green house and install guidelines with little anchors made out of cement or rocks. Then tie the guidelines to the anchors in the ground to hold it from blowing away when the wind comes up. Like they do in the north east with the Bob houses on the ice so they don’t blow away. Maybe where the wind is the strongest you may have to put big or anchors deeper into the ground.

The fact that she's loving all of that is a definitive plus!! I mean, the quarantine is one issue, but doable. Besides, they are beginning to lift some restrictions. But doing the Garden hose showers, no real toilet???? That would've been enough for me. She really loves man. Keep up the good work👍
