Sitting here with a beer remembering our time in Padstow with you both and captain Yewy. It’s been good following you on your trip. Also I have enjoyed 6 of your books and look forward to no 7 in January. Have a merry Christmas and wishing you good health and happy sailing in 2024. Give Yewy a hug from me 🎄🤶🌲🎅 ⛵️🐟🍤🍟xx
Hi Debs. Glad you enjoyed our latest episode. Thank you for following along and for reading my books. Padstow was one of the best ports on our trip, made all the better for meeting the Cormorant crew. Wishing you and Stu a massively awesome Christmas and hope our paths cross again in 2024.
A great series & glad you got Hjem safely. I've really enjoyed and you deserve way more subscribers - really good content and very likeable - fair winds ⛵
We thought the exact same thing. How can our beautiful North East be any better than what we had remembered? See it on a gorgeously calm day from sea. Epic!
Great video! Such an emotional end, you’ve done a great job! Appreciate the chippy recommendation- we gannin hjem tomorrow and will test your chippy ;) is it better than Riley’s (saw they now have a chippy too…) thanks for taking us on your journey!
Thank you very much! It was emotional for us too 🥲 Our chippy is unfortunately no more as it closed whilst the new metro upgrades mean no cars can go past it! Haven’t tried Riley’s fish shop, but the shack is great, especially the blackened halibut. But I can’t bring myself to pay the prices any more! If you go to the chippy, let us know how it is! If you can go a bit further, get up to Seaton Sluice to the Harbour View and be prepared for fish and chip HEAVEN!
Ah thanks for the info, I’m originally from Blyth and will be staying with my parents so will definitely try season sluice, it’s been years! Looking forward to watching your next steps, we’re also boatfolk with Haslar so picking up tips from your videos for the marina hopping, hopefully at some point we’ll get to Royal Quays 🎉
@@rachelth1 boatfolk have the most generous reciprocal marina arrangement that we’ve seen. With the weather over last summer, we saved over £2k on marina fees when we were weathered off. I don’t think I’ll ever forget that three weeks in Bangor! It’s a long way from Haslar to Royal Quays, but a trip of a lifetime awaits as there’s so much in between!
