K.I.T.T. has been equipped with traction spikes on its tires, while its CPU is programmed to operate SID, which stands for Satellite Infiltration Drone. Several of S.I.D.'s sound effects are inspired by Star Trek: The Original Series, and its physical appearance bears a resemblance to Nomad from the episode "The Changeling."
From Season 4 Episode 18 "Hills of Fire": While on ranger duty, Michael and K.I.T.T. rescue a young kid named Darryl from a forest fire. When Darryl subsequently gets framed for arson, Michael sets out to prove the boy's innocence.

I was thinking the same thing. At the end of one episode, he had KITT dump wet cement on top of a villain. Then he tells him that he looks good in cement, and will spend a lot of years behind it.

The Hoff makes you believe Michael cares about Sid. "Get him outta there, fast." Does this mean he's a good actor? Nice driving scene where they throw that Trans Am in front of the truck. It looks really good. And the flamethrower versus the co2 looks like something out of a Bond film. You can't beat stunts done with practical effects.

Actually in prior seasons KITT used to get video visuals of stuff pretty clearly out of his line of sight, without any explanation as to how he gets those video footage, which made even less sense. So this was probably an effort to patch it up 😂😂 wish they showed it having some kinda mini jet propellor instead of just floating around. Drones with cameras are common place today.

Knight Rider evolved from pretty serious sci fi action to total dumbo in about first 10-15 episodes. The whole show is a wasted opportunity in my opinion. Should have been a dark sci fi take on Bond, but talking car was popular with kids, so they went the cheap way.

So nobody notices the flying soccer ball until it got stuck in the tree. They could hit the car multiple times with a hip shot from 200 yds but could not with a laser guided RPG. We used to look forward to watching this every week!
