A mix of the 2 😁 You should make it a “short” on RU-vid asking who does it best 😜 Just an idea! My brain is starting to work a little again! Can you tell? Naughty me is emerging 🙏🏼 ahah🤭
Naick is amazing, he can make sesame noodles, I just had it for lunch today! Baby Bear is so cute, but why is there only mother, I don't know where Daddy Bear is? Being able to travel for so long in a place where you are unfamiliar, you are really persevering and powerful; You have to deal with various problems of the car along the way. I really admire it. Please keep it up!
Ok so I have been following you for awhile and this has got to be one of my most favorite vlogs. I laughed through a good part of it!!! You two are hilarious and made for each other lol. Anyway I reside in Calgary, Alberta and I have never been up so far north. I have seen a lot of pictures and movies over the years and the beauty just never gets old. We are truly blessed here in Canada even with the mosquitos lol. So glad you are seeing the humor in everything even the rough patches. Continued safe journeys to you both and looking forward to the next vlog!!!
Thank you for your kind words Cheri! 🥰🥰We had a lot of fun making this video and I guess it really shows haha. The scenery does never get old though ❤️❤️
Hi! Sorry to have you worrried ❤️ And thanks for caring about us. We are doing fine, we're in Alaska right now actually. For the past two weeks we have been superbusy with doing freelance work for our biggest client (need to keep that money coming in to pay for the adventures) 😅 We've also been having lots of adventures and doing lots of driving. We felt a bit exhausted (a bit is an understatement really), so we took a break after our crazy work schedule). We're editing a video right now, so it should be up in the next few days (we hope to post it on Monday).
OMG you guys are hilarious and having soooo much fun! Nice to see the Maple cookies box came in handy for starting a fire…. Love the video and drone shots. Amazing scenery. Keep them coming…
Little fishing tip for you, make sure that you don’t have any bug repellent, skin creams etc. on your hands when you fish. You won’t catch much if that gets on your rod and reel!
2 weeks? We are anxiously following, please give us an update. Not to be too direct, but I think Kim should post every 3-4 days. 😘 Go ahead and give me 💩
I typed up a reply, but it seems to have disappeared miraculously. Do you have an address to send the 💩💩 to? Love the more personal approach 😃 We're actually planning to post twice a week going forward, although it probably won't be possible to post twice every week, but we're gonna try. We love making these videos and sharing our adventures and we would love to post a lot more. Work just keeps getting in the way though, but changes to that are coming, which we talk about in our next videos.
@@NaickKim Thanks so much for the reply. I'm watching your latest video now, and I understand a lot more of what you are dealing with. We thought maybe Naick caught his first salmon and it pulled him downstream, or maybe you liked Alaska so much that you sold Vinnie, bought a small cabin and were living off grid. 🙂 We enjoy your videos, and are tracking your progress. Hope to see more frequent posts, but we understand. Enjoy Alaska and the experience. Ron
Hi Dan and Sandra here from Fraser Lake it looks like you are having a great time. We’ll keep watching. You do a really good job with music and drone etc. We’re glad you saw the mana and her cubs.
Looks like you guys are having a great trip! Your Paris video really helped my wife and I during when we went for the first time earlier this year. If you ever make it to Michigan, we will show you around!
Thanks a lot Adam! Great to hear you had a good time in Paris and we could be of help. That is very kind of you, we'd love to meet up when we make it there. ❤️We were already talking today when we could come back to the US for a future trip to see more, as we're going to stick to Alaska and the western part of the US for now. 👍👍
Hallo Kim en Naick, jullie hebben weer een mooie video gemaakt van jullie avonturen. Leuk dat jullie die beren tegenkwamen op jullie reis. Geniet er daar nog van en wees voorzichtig, groetjes, Gilberte
oh my goodness, I love love love this video, you certainly are having a great time, your filming is wonderful, and to see bears is just fantastic, hope you get to see more,xx..love the salmon impressions..can't wait for the next vlog..
Wow, Guys you made me laugh so much! Bless you. I was having an extremely bad week,…but you guys bought me back down…Thank you. , ! So happy your sharing this adventure.❤️🐻😂😁🙏🏻
You guys need to book a day trip via air out of either Homer or Anchorage, down to view the bears @ Geographic Harbor or environs in Katmai. Taking one of these bear viewing trips will be one of the most memorable, if not THE most memorable things you will ever do in your life. Please, please, look into it!
We looked into it, but at a 1.000usd a person, that's a bit (or even waaaay) out of budget range unfortunately. It looks really amazing thouhg and we've put it high on our bucket list.
The bears are so cute. Lol Naick in the water I bet that was cold. Err salmon impressions lol 😆 I think Kim beat you there naick lol. It’s fishing heaven the scenery love it. Looking forward to more adventures. I am going to try that peanut butter and noodle recipe looks heaven😊
The bears are the best. It wasn't too cold, my legs can handle the cold pretty well. It's more when it gets to certain euhm... more sensitive parts that you really start feeling the cold 😂😂 Anyways, forgot to add the recipe: www.recipetineats.com/sesame-noodles/
Hi Hollie ! Sorry to have you worrried ❤️ And thanks for caring about us. We are doing fine, we're in Alaska right now actually. Terrible to find such a beautiful isolated camping spot and be plagued by all those mosquitoes. It's funny at 9:04 just when you talk about not having seen a single home or store along the highway, there happens to be a building just behind you.
Vannie's hanging out! A mother black bear is risky around her cubs. Better viewed from a car...You've read what I have how they're just a little less respectful of our wonderfulness. It's almost certain that your first grizzly will be at a distance. Keep the bear spray handy! Keep Naick handy for the leaks! Nothing induces good online translation work than having a connection - wherever. I'm having sesame noodles tomorrow! God speed.
Thanks Fred. They definitely are. Always good to have a healthy respect for the animals and nature in general. As a scuba diver with loads of dives I have a healthy respect of the sea (and some healthy fear 😃)
Just watched this video and at 13:10-ish you pass the Glacier Inn in Hyder, parked in front is RU-vid channel (Itchy Boot's) motorcycle ALASKA. Would have been cool to see her stumble out of the door after getting herself Hyderized to 75 proof. Pretty sure some of her 1.45M subscribers will want to jump on board for your reverse of trip she is just completing.
@@NaickKim Yes that's the time period, also at 13:12-ish of your video you see Red Car parked behind her bike. In her video S6-E131 at 27:51-ish you see front of Red Car. As well at back into CDN border crossing there is several things that point to same day transit, you departing just before her. Not that there is any prize for seeing this (or is there), its just interesting when trails cross. As well you stayed in Neepawa MB in Area where my 90 yr old Mom has RV'ed which gave her a smile, and she enjoys your fishing angle you have going.
Want trout out of those out of the way little ponds and lakes straight up bait especially worms and a red devil lure. Sounds overly simplified but for those small lakes like the one you were at it would have gotten you some bites for sure.
❤ that you get to see and show northern BC where the official bird is the mosquito🤣... going skinny dipping would bring some interesting bites! 😳 Can't wait to see more ... of the amazing scenery 🧐in an area many don't see. When you leave Alaska, going back to BC on the Alaska highway then??
Yeah the mosquitoes are pretty... interesting 😃😃 Helicoptering tends to keep m away though. Not sure yet on our return route. We really liked the Stewart Cassiar highway.
Love your videos of vanning through Canada ! May I ask What was the temperature when all those mosquitos were attacking and Naick had to skinny dip for his lure?
You can just hear in your voices just how happy you both are....we love your vlogs, and love the entertainment you give us, thank you, and yes, we are all for diversifying your income whilst on the road, but Naick's idea of Only Fans might be stretching it 😅🤣😂
It's a bad idea if something goes wrong, it's a good idea if everything is good. But life is about taking risks, good luck and have a best time of your life. You may want to put out films a little bit more frequent and report your location as you go, in case something happen, your nearby fans can go and look for you. Haha, just saying.
Exactly 😃 It's always easy to say afterwards. We usually keep some people up to date on our location. We're going to try to post more often going forward!
Hello and thank you for your reply. 💕 In 1991 I was living on the South Shore of Nova Scotia when I almost moved to Smithers. But decided I loved the Maritimes too much. I chose the ocean over mountains. Hope you both are well and I’m looking forward to your next vlog. Regards from New Brunswick. 💕💕
In the past tourist to 🇨🇦 got a GST refund on leaving.... Dave your receipts. Not sure what qualified or even if it's still policy. You should check next CND border crossing you go through if you haven't reached Alaska yet. Might still be policy???
For future reference to anyone reading this, you require a fishing licence to fish in Canada. Fishing without a license is illegal under the "Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act 1997". Even if you are planning to catch and release or fishing on your own land. Unless you're Aboriginal and fishing on *traditional territory* but you do need to present your Status card to a Conservation officer if requested. Hence why some American Aboriginals have hunting/fishing status rights in Canada. So, if you have recognized tribal lands on the US/CAN border, look into your traditional territories to see if you qualify for hunting, fishing, migratory bird hunting, and plant rights in Canadian territory. I thought Status gave me rights throughout Ontario but it doesn't; only territorial lands. Check the maps! The fine was bumped up from $100 to $200 for violations.
@@NaickKim That's why I started it off with "For future reference to anyone reading this". There was no call for your rudeness as there was no implication made.
@@NaickKim You honestly don't think that information is relevant to your video and any Americans watching it in the future that may want to do the same on their trip? Red herring: Traffic laws are known and implied via one's driver's license. American and Canadian driving laws are identical. I don't need to point out what's already well known. The provincial, states, as well as Federal Canadian and US game & fishing regulations? Yes. There are always a few Americans each year who face fines because they didn't know the hunting and fishing regulations in Canada (and probably vice versa). So, yes, this is relevant information to them. And any other potential tourist watching this that may want to try fishing. Oddly, ignorance is always their excuse - they didn't know they needed a license for catch and release. Or that there were different types of fishing licences depending on the type of fishing you want to do. Minimum $200 fine. At best. But, as you say, that information is not relevant. Except it literally affects Americans every year. In videos of you guys fishing in BC and Ontario, the only thing you did was, literally, toss the regulation booklet aside when you could have taken 5 seconds to mention the license and how to get it online. Which, FYI, if you have a regulation book - you were given an Outdoors & Fishing License. One is given with the other by the ministry.
September 2019: $70,000 fine, storage seizure fee of $10,000 + equipment confiscated equaling more than $38,500. April 2021: $8,800 in fines to Americans. December 2022: $17,500 fine; $1000 in equipment confiscated; + a 1 year fishing ban. Did you enjoy being stuck in Manitoba until you could pay to ship the vans replacement equipment? Fines have to be paid before being allowed to cross the border. And as heartbreaking as it was to see your struggle; imagine what those poor Americans went through! All because they didn't know. Because no one told them and they didn't look it up. People assume because we're so large and abundant that it's a wild west mentality towards nature when it's highly regulated and protected.
Hey guys! Thanks for all the comments you left, great to have you around 👍👍Sorry for not replying earlier, got really caught up in our freelance work the last weeks and had to take a small break after that. 🤯 Where are you guys at now? 😃
I hope you're enjoying this expedition, but there's almost no amount of money that could get me to venture up into the COLD, remote north. I need civilization - and WARMTH - near me.
