40 mins in - Farke given £60m to spend - really? First I thought it was Webber who did the signings. Second it has been reported that Farke wanted three players and we were in the running for at least two of them but signed none of them. On the pitch we are paying the price for not signing at least one if not two defensive midfield players.

As an Ipswich fan before a ball was kicked I was hoping for both ipswich and Norwich battling it out for a playoff spot, I was hoping the derby would be about competing for the highest spots in the table but it doesn't seem like that will happen, which is a shame

You and me both Kieran. I had us down for 6th and you guys 8th. Our experienced team against your youth. I'm hoping when we get Big Bad Barnsey and Sarge back we'll be a lot more competitive. Other than that congratulations on your start to the season.

@@timmoore2598 I hope everything gets sorted out at Norwich. Hopefully including new owners like ours. Don't get me wrong, im passionate about the derby as much as the next fan, but I still want Norwich to do well so the derby can be extremely competitive. It wouldnt be fun to have this massive comeback if we haven't got our rivals competing for the same things as us. The dream would be for Norwich and Ipswich competing for promotion, and the east Anglian derby in the premier League.

As another Ipswich fan who now lives and works in Norwich, I was surprised with how well they started based on what guys in the office said. Was a lot of pessimism before the season and first few games hide the issues. Missing both their main forwards has hurt them massively as well

Lot of Ncfc fans having a bit of a Leeds love in atm just because of Farke. Also because we shadowed each other in our early Farke era and Bielsa (pre Prem) era, had some great battles and we saw parallels between Farke and Bielsa. That’s why Farke makes such a good successor to Bielsa. The way they left was even similar. Had to recognise their time was up when they left, they’d come to the end of the road yet everyone still pines for those times! Also a bit like Villa fans when Dean Smith came to us. Villa fans adored him and really wanted him to do well with us. Sadly that didn’t work out but we want the same to see Farke do well for Leeds. If he is supported he could be just at the beginning and do something special with Leeds. I hope he doesn’t come unstuck in the Prem if he gets you up. No guarantee and will need good people around and above him and that’s never a given at Leeds (no offence 😆!)

The region needs a strong Norwich and Ipswich. As East Anglia doesnt exist as far as main media covering football.

I have said this for years and yes east anglia needs 2 successful teams in the top league to get us recognised as region in the country who have a passion for football, I have blue blood running through my veins but I also want to see Norwich up there competing with us to make the derbys’ close and competitive

Wagner promotion with Huddersfield was with a minus goal difference. Defending well and keeping clean sheets isn’t his remit.

Norwich are Shambolic. All of you have good points indeed. I work in a pub as a manager. We have a dude who is really nice,funny and likes good music,I guess you could say I like him but he can't pour a pint,can't carry a tray and after 4 months he has not improved. He is my David Wagner.

As an Ipswich fan who now works in norwich and lives just outside really pleased to see the tables turn as you have been better than us for quite a few years, just hoping you don’t up your game for derby day as a town win is a long time overdue. I think you boys will be safe as clearly a handful of really terrible teams below you - QPR, Shef W, Rotherham, Huddersfield Ect. Once you get Barnes and Sargent back your form will improve. I’m just enjoying the footy we are playing currently as aware McKenna if it continues will soon be sort after by established premiership teams. Can see McKenna next season being at Crystal Palace, unless he does manage is to back to back.

Boys, a great balanced show. You insinuated the problems we all know are there without actually pointing a finger it would have been easy to sit there and gripe, so hats off to you for that. Dean offered a counter point of football having a cyclic aspect from a position of experience which was refreshing. Things though, definitely need to change, we all know that. City are stale and it needs a refresh. I worry that the present holders of the keys are unwilling to hand them over. That’s the most pressing issue.

One thing you missed about ITFC is the style of play...the squad has been built up to suit exactly what is required of them from the manager, unlike Noriwch who just seem to exist onnthe pitch. And in Davis, Morsy, Williams and Broadhead Town have some genuinely excellent players.

Yes, we did exactly that with Farke and the teams he built. Making it work in the Prem is a whole different ball game - pardon the pun - but it is. Clearly we’ve not only failed to keep that blue print but completely gone off the rails. It isn’t easy.

Here's how i see it. We completely reset and cleared out and trusted farke and gave him a big war chest. Unfortunately, farkeball was super effective at championship level, but failed miserably in the pl. Because you can't play farkeball without any possession. We had to say goodbye to farke as a result. But now, we have a frakenstein squad that has been put together in bits for 3 different managers. Nobody is getting a tune out of this. Knapper needs to come in and reset everything. Sell everything not nailed down (except jonny Rowe ❤). That'll take 3+ seasons sadly, and we may go down in the meantime. We need to pick the next farke and trust him all over again. Except this time we need to find a coach who understands what it takes to survive and build in the pl, not just win the championship.

Deano - one the best finishers with guile and raw strength. What a player. I've seen a few people suggest a flatter four across the midfield, such as Forshaw, Nunez, McClean and Sara. Can alway roll dice and maybe play Placheta, Sainz or Fassnacht if we need a goal. Our full backs do need to get forward, it's crucial to how we attack, so let them do this. Play Rowe in free role and a centre-forward with him. Plus, start developing Warner and play Baath. I'd also try to involve Sorenson when needed from bench as he is a strong defender and tidy on ball. We have some interesting options, but we really do need to shut the gate through the middle and stop being so easy to so against. Spot on Deano!

I liked Trump, but he didn't do himself any favours by needing to be dragged out the White House. I'm seeing the same with both Delia and Webber. They appear to be clinging to their desks as they are carted away by the fans. When you've got to go, you've got to go. Get the new owners and new Sporting Director in and let them run the show now. This over lengthy " hand-over " period is confusing and not helping the club.

Using politics as an analogy, when a new government is elected, the former prime minister is on the phone to Pickfords straight away. When a new manager is appointed, there isn't a handover period because the previous manager will have been sacked. The new manager and coaching team have to pick up the pieces.
