new to your channel, welcome to Scotland, I love the way tourists call it Edinboro 😂 (Its pronounced Edin Buru) Edinburgh is one of my fav places - there is so much to see - watch Steve Marsh’s channel, he does walking vlogs in the city and is very good. Enjoy and I look forward to more ❤️

15:00 born and raised in scotland, Reason why stirling castle is so important is because of the flat farmland and direct access to the highlands. it meant no one can cross it to gain access to the highlands without being in direct sight of the castle. its also why stirling is called "The Gateway To The Highlands". Arguably one of the most important strategic castles and positions to hold in scotland. Lots of people typically just stay within glasgow and edinbrugh when it comes to history but further north you get imho its wayyy better. stirling, callander, perth, dundee, aberdeen, glencoe etc. also sights alone. its wayyy more north you want to go. deep into the highlands.
Yes! We learned all about the importance of Stirling and we got to spend some time exploring the highlands as well which was my favorite part of our trip! It was really incredible to hear about all the history and to see the beautiful landscape. Such a stunning country.
