We are planning on listing our house for sale soon. We're hoping it will put us in a better place financially and then we will be able to move to a nicer state like we've always talked about. So things are about to change around here.

You should consider North Carolina. I moved from Arizona to North Carolina 3 years ago and I have never been happier. It is beautiful out here. The weather is not too cold and not too hot. You get all four seasons but rarely get snow, unless of course you live in the mountains. The people are friendly too. Southern hospitality. Good luck to you guys!

I think it’s a great idea! Families help out when they can and maybe your mom can go with you. Also, maybe look for a good school district? The kids would enjoy friends and you would have free time and that might help with your depression.

We were a homeschool family in CA and moved to TN. Our kids have gone to public school in this amazing school district. It's a completely different life. We are so happy! Rain, green, water and so much family centered things to do. We have three children. Bonus, no state income tax.

I’m so late to this video, but how exciting! Personal opinion- vacation in Florida - don’t live there. Things are so volatile there with cost of living, real estate, the weather and the schools. I’ve always been so curious about North Carolina. I love the idea of mountains and beach both. 🌊⛰️

I know you are praying and when you do, God will lead you to the right place. I live in Canada with horrid winters lol so I have no suggestions but I know you will find just the right place. You should be able to get top dollar for your house considering how much you have improved it and also how meticulous you clean !! Every house you moved into, i remember you having to do major cleaning, so trust me, that's a huge selling point. Really proud of you Jill. We sold our house of 20 years and bought land and built a modular. Had to live in a travel trailer for 8 mos! Was only supposed to be 3 mos but ya know…Covid. Talk about scary! It was soo worth it in the end. We also left all the furniture and appliances the new owners loved that.

Congrats! And I understand. The American dream of owning a home is impossible these days. Me and my husband and two kids just sold everything and moved into an RV. We profited a lot off of our house and were able to pay for our used RV and our vehicle and all our debt. The kids are having the time of their lives! My kids are Madison and chases age. I’ve seen many with larger families do it too.

Yay!! Congrats to you and your family, Jill! I know how much you've been thinking about listing your home and moving out of New Jersey for some better weather! So happy to hear! Moves are scary but in most ways, you grow and learn so much more what you want in life for you your family. My husband and I moved out of California during the pandemic due to the politics. We moved to Colorado but it's getting similar to California. I'd say dig deep into your research to find the right place to set roots for you guys! We will be making another move closer to the south as well in a few years and have been eyeing Nashville subarbs. Enjoy your new adventure for the time being and can't wait to hear updates!! 🌻

Yay Jill!!! This is awesome news. Come to Tennessee! We are about 45 min outside of Nashville and it’s awesome. You get all 4 seasons but winters are very mild. We might get one snow a year which is fun, but then we never have to deal with it until the next year.

We did this four years ago went from Oregon to Texas. The housing prices and just general cost of living was so expensive. We got rid of a bunch of stuff.We bought a house in Texas. Love it.

Checkout Huntsville, Alabama! It's a professional city with cheap COL. The weather is amazing as well. It was America's #1 city last year.😊

🌻I hear ya! We live in New Jersey too. Everything is sooo expensive here. I spend more time in Florida at my moms and we’re looking to move there after summer. I hope you can find a great new home. Oh and my daughter saw you and Madison in Target 😁 Made her whole day. She didn’t tell me until we were there for awhile and I wish she would have told me so I could say hi!

@@MommyEtc My mom lives in Sebastian Florida and it’s my favorite town in Florida. An hour from Orlando and there’s always something to do in Sebastian. Only area I would avoid are northern Florida and Vero Beach. Vero is next to Sebastian and there are very nice beaches and places there but their crime rate is going up.

look into north carolina! (or the northern part of south carolina) …70% of the year feels like fall weather. pretty hot summers and can get a little chilly in winter (30-40) but no snow. been here 3 years and it snowed one day 😂 it’s march and it’s already high 60’s - low 70’s!!

@@MommyEtc My in-laws all live in NC and it does always seem nice. It can get humid, but not that same as GA. And FL’s humidity is pretty bad. Really South GA and FL is pretty rough on the humidity. North GA can be cooler because it’s the foothills of the Appalachian mountains. NC and Tenn are all very pretty mountains! Asheville, NC in the fall is SO beautiful! Seems like you have great options whenever the Lord places you. Again, I am excited for you guys!

So do you know what you want out of the house? Do you guys want a big backyard, are you guys gonna have 4 bedrooms? What do you want in the rest of the house? Also are you looking to get 2/3 bathrooms? I live in alabama was living in new york ny whole life and then me and my family moved in 2011 down here. The houses are cheaper then up there, the water bill is cheaper but also the water isnt as good as up there. They have a sams, bj's and cosco all near me. Lots of gas stations. We also have a aldi we have one in atleast three different counties. Not sure how property taxes work bc we live in my moms house she passed away last year and i forgot until recently that she has to pay property taxes each year, but its only 30 dollars. That might be if you own the home bc she did pay it in full. We have several acres of land. And 4 bedrooms and almost 3 bathrooms we are working on adding one to the master. Another thing to know is when the weather gets bad or something its diffferent then up north. When there is just a little snow on the ground alot closes. They also showed something on the news saying they were taking taxes off baby products and feminine products.

I know you are considering GA, and I love GA but I should mention that FL has some really amazing benefits for homeschool families. Each child gets allotted monies (like a couple of thousand $) for homeschool related things. Field trips, lessons, curriculum, etc…. Ga is trying to pass the same thing, but haven’t gotten there yet. Excited to see what the Lord has in store for you guys!

@@MM-sk5yr I have a friend in FL using it and they aren’t dictating what you can teach or anything. Just seems like some “regulations” to make sure you’re actually homeschooling if you are accepting the money. Which some states have those requirements without receiving $. That was a concern of my friend as well, but she said she has the option to not accept the money if she it were to ever go to a place of too much government “control”. As she moved to FL from CA for more homeschooling freedom. I hope it works out and stays and can benefit the homeschooling community. Maybe it has changed since releasing? Are you from FL? I would love to know more. ☺️

When doing things to the house to get ready to List , Think about what will really matter to someone looking at the house. For example. Will a towel bar really matter? No. 🌻

I'm really excited for you! What are the rental/mortgage amounts there? Here in Colorado it's pretty much the same. Rent for a 4 bedroom is $2800-$3500 and that's for an older home with maybe a few modern updates. Mortgages for a 4 bedroom with excellent credit is about $2400-$2600, not to mention all the bills that come with it. Gas and electricity is between $300-$500 a month. I was looking at moving to North/South Carolina. Nice weather year round and cheaper mortgage and rental amounts. Also, not far from a beach. Tennessee is getting fairly expensive as well(depending on the area you look at) because a lot of people are moving there.

North Carolina!! 50/50 for weather, homeschooling law here is completely open. You send in your notice of intent once and then never have to submit again unless you want to close your school. And you keep a record of immunizations for each child in a binder along with keeping up with their attendance and everything else is to your discretion. It is completely free you teach what you feel is important you just keep record of it. It’s super easy I love it it’s basically I scrapbook my children’s learning. I do follow the guidelines as far as credits when it comes to high schools and what classes they have to take I tried to match that, but as far as anything else, if they have an interest in something, we keep it pretty open to what they have an interest in to learn about. Housing at least in our area more east coast is fairly cheap compared to most!! And we don’t have a sewage bill and our water bill is every two months always $50-60. We’ve def saved more money moving here. And I homeschool 4 children!!

Thanks so much for all the info! Are there any counties in North Carolina you could direct us to look in? There’s so much research involved in this, I’m overwhelmed lol. I’m drawn to North Carolina more than Georgia or Florida bc I think those two might be too humid for me and I’ll hate that just like I hate the cold here lol. Our water bill is about double that. It’s quarterly and about $400 each time. Are you on Instagram?

Got off social media otherwise years ago for many reasons but ya I can give a few ideas depending on if you want more city or something kinda spaced out?? Not like country like cowboy country but more like a small commute of 30 min to get to shopping or anything if you’re ok with that sort of thing? We sold our house and moved in with my parents. My husband myself and two kids. We only ended up staying with them for three months but it was a fun three months.

Hi! My daughters used to watch your "my little pony videos" and are around the same age as your oldest🕊. We moved from the North East to the south east and LOVE it. We renovated our home in MA and sold it for a profit then purchased a house with tons more house and land (before 2020). Although I appreciate N.C., it is important to note that homeowners do not own the land under their houses: This makes fracking under folks home legal😳 Hope you move to Georgia, just don't trust real estate agents who will try to sell an HOA house.
