when i take away their phones then i give them the option of board games legos colouring one day of the week its none of that they read a book and at night time we all watch a movie together💖🌻

My kids definitely act out more when they get their tablets i despise them wish we never got them. Right now they only get them on the weekends but i want to get rid of them completely. Congrats on selling your house hope the rest goes smoothly for you all 🌻
That sounds like a good rule, only on weekends. Makes it easier to control, too. I was just thinking the other day how I wish we never gave them tablets. If only we could go back in time!
Congrats on selling the house! My kids love lego, colouring, riding bikes, playdough, games like musical statues etc. Technology is a killer, we have severely restricted it for our kids too because the DO get angry, cranky, lazy when they spend time on it I also printed activity sheets for them, they have been loving them. 🌻
I use to have a bored basket/bin. If you said you were bored you find something in it to do. Otherwise you find something to clean. I let them get bored too. I think a lot of times we are constantly trying to entertain kids… however, if you let them just get bored they can get pretty creative. And yes, my kids don’t know very many games or use tech very often. However when I do let them play their 1-2 games they end up more selfish and grumpy.
So when you move out of your mom's house are you getting a different storage unit close to where you are gonna move to or will all your items be in your new hosue?
Well all our normal house stuff will move to our new house, all Greg’s stuff I’m not sure yet. Hopefully we will have a room in the house he can use to store his things. Basement or attic or something like that.
I'd get the kids to earn screen time, but if they start with an attitude, the screen gets put away. They need to learn to gain control of their anger & attitude. If screens are put away when they behave like that, you'll be amazed how quick they change their tune.

I completely agree with the screens. I despise them. We don't have a lot. We only have a switch but they are not allowed to play it often. TV goes off at 9am and not back on until evening. Sometimes I turn an afternoon movie on if everyone just seems irritable. Hold strong, they will give push back but that's ok. I tell mine to find something to entertain themselves or I will. I always have a running list of chores. My kids are 9 and 10 and it is getting harder to find things that interest them, especially my son.
@@MommyEtc don't get me wrong, mine still play. I can just tell it's just transitioning to big kid stuff. My daughter will be 11 in Aug, she still plays Barbies but not so much babies anymore. She's starting to like preteen things. My son has only ever loved to play tractors and farm. (We are a farm family) he has never been into too much else. I guess their play is just narrowing and less little kid play. I helped build a giant fort in the living room a couple of months ago and that kept them entertained for a weekend. Made a mess but I loved to see them so entertained with their imagination.
My younger and older grandchildren still love to pull out the old Lincoln logs and they will build and play for hours best purchase 26 years ago ♥️. Coloring books and good colors and Pencils are a fan around here. We love to color in my home. I agree I wish technology was not an existing thing. I wish that we still had it the way it was back in the day where we could sit around and actually talk to people and our children.😊. I am so glad that you guys are selling your home and that you will be moving probably by now maybe can be getting settled into your new way of living,I am so happy 😊for your family . Congratuations on selling the house! So fast! You did an amazing job at painting your home. It looks wonderful. This all sounds like a really good move for you - you've been wanting someplace different for a while and I'm happy for you that it is happening.

I hope that everything goes well with selling your house, Jill. Your house looks so nice, you did a Great job painting & doing some lottle things here and there to make it functional for you & your family! My son Michael gets so mad playing Roblox, but my daughter Sarah is not that way. I know its Super hard to keep them away from the screens, but its always nice when they can do other things to keep their minds busy, like my kids love to play outside with chalk, ride their bikes, read, play board games, make slime, Legos, coloring, painting, dot to dot books, etc. Have a nice weekend. 💖💖🌻🌻🙏🙏🙏 Nina in Seattle WA USA
