Hagakure's powers work by light refraction as she states in the last episode. When she bent the laser away from her and Deku she also bent the light that keeps her invisible away.
Yeah but what confuses me is that she's done this before and it didn't reveal her last time. Back during the Class 1-A vs Class 2-B arc, Tokoyami's Black Shadow starts going berserk so Hagakure reflects the light towards Black Shadow to weaken him (since light is his weakness). I just wanna know what happened differently that made her Light Refraction reveal her this time but not last time. Edit: Rewatched the episode and I think I understand now. It seems like in the Class 1-A vs 1-B fight she refracted the light in all directions instead of in one specific direction like this time. So, like you said, since she refracted it all into in one direction, we could see her faintly since her body probably can't passively reflect light (which makes her invisible) while actively refracting light at the same time.
@@CloudyCrow My guess is that she deliberately used the laser this time to also refract the light that is constantly refracted around her. Remember her invisibility, despite the Quirk's name, is just a subconscious byproduct.
