Not Mennonite but don't have a problem being addressed Mrs Peter ...etc.., and yes I still ask my husband first (most of the time) because I care for his opinion.❤
I’m not mennonite but I love being called by my husband’s name. I find it funny that some women find it offensive while having no problem being referred to by their father’s names. I feel honored to be married to my husband and share his name!
They have a platform to address the bad! Do they want their children to go beyond their expected roles! What about gays and cheating spouses, etc. Make it real talk about real issues!
This is so funny. Living in Lancaster County this is so so true! Especially the family members being in different trades and hoping for that family discount! 😂
Not a Mennonite. I have family members who can do all of the trades. Oh, so can I! I know all my second cousins. I do All of the “household “ work plus I bake and cook from scratch. I raised our kids without outside help. We rarely eat out or even buy a coffee that I have not made. My husband is consulted We have ‘special’ meals on Sabbath that I prepare the day before.
My husband addresses envelopes: S. Sergeant & Mrs. his first name, middle initial, last name, and Suffix. So formal! He's retired military, if you can't tell. LOL!
I had to LOL at the 2nd cousin remark. My paternal grandparents were second cousins, none of knew until they were deceased. Now I know why my grandmother questioned me on who my boyfriend’s family was….and we’re not Mennonites! LOL
I know alot of people who aren't Mennonites who can do the same. I love both U ladies but I don't think it's funny. I feel this video kinda came across as being proud
it’s a trend that people are doing for different professions, religions, etc. it’s supposed to be controversial topics said in this tone of voice. All the videos are very similar to this, just replace Mennonites with radiologists, secretaries, etc.

You know what....if you are a genuine true Christian who believes the Gospel of Jesus Christ, when we are all in heaven I think a lot of us will be surprised at the things that you/we were actually 'allowed' to do here on earth but didn't because you/we followed the doctrine of a 'religion or culture'. You, as a Mennonite, are no closer to God than I, as a person saved by the Grace of God, or better than me because you keep your hair up and cover your head, or because you don't wear pants, etc. If that's how you want to live, more power to you. But don't act like your culture is better than the other Christians here on earth. I love watching your channel and seeing how you all live but I think you pushed some buttons with this video.
It's basically a lifestyle! Bible-believing Christians that live a traditional lifestyle that may look a little odd, but practice the Bible the way they believe is best.
