As the driller in this video, I would like to say that rock and stones were had. They were just a bit delayed as we were having a bit of "wow" moment in voice chat from our first time bursting a gold ball like this. We ain't no leaf lovers! (At least me and the uploader aren't. The other guy is a bit suspect though)
My second time playing this game, the whole team started spamming "We're rich" with the inspect tool on 1 piece of gold for like 5 minutes, best gaming experience I've had
Had the same on a Point Extraction mission with Gunk Seeds too, although with multiple players there. Took forever to get done and was starting to get irritated by how long it took 😅.
Just a heads up for anyone reading, Pots O Gold only boosts gold mined with the pickaxe. If you let it pop like this or use explosives you (unfortunately) don't get the bonus.
@@bubblinebee Unless, instead of breaking the rock, you break the last bit of gold that supports the rest, than it applies for the whole gold that breaks
Had this happen while I had pot's of gold active with a team. drilled a double wide tunnel deep into the rock and led the thing into there. got a nearly full sphere of gold that took forever to mine, but none of us could stop lol
People be saying things like "I will have to report this to HR" but they forget that this is Deep Rock Galactic. You report to Dwarven Resources, not Human Resources.
Last one I got someone called in the drop pod before we even started mining the gold and told us off about mining it. Sad reminder that bad people exist in every game, even the best of the best.
Golden rush modifier. Pots of Gold beer. And Haz 4 with length 3 cave. Crassus was in the second room. Drilled a tunnel and led it there. It exploded. 3500+ gold. Plus almost 2000 from the cave deposits and loot bugs. And there was Hauly Bug as bonus)
I have only see one of those golden nuke bois before and my entire team died by the blast sadly. So we just saw a massive amount of gold that wasn't going to be harvested...
To answer this in full: As the driller can't mine minerals with his primary, it's faster to mine all the wall from behind the gold, as the driller's primary is much faster than manually mining all the gold.
Canonically, the dwarves get to keep the gold they mine, much to mission control's annoyance. I think they get to keep it because, in the age of space mining, gold actually has very little worth.
