Well that's the kicker. The Amulets of Proof Against Detection and Location they stole block Divination magic - but Sending is an Evocation spell.

It's funny because I think they were a higher level when they went to hell in the first campaign, and they made an even bigger deal of that than now. It's like they've reached the point where they look at a dangerous place or situation and just go,"Well SOMEBODY'S gotta go there! Might as well be us!"

I love the idea of Jester officiating Beau and Yasha's wedding. Ashley gets to officiate Laura's wedding in campaign 1, now Laura can return the favor in campaign 2.

Well here's the thing, yussas is a very powerful political figure and any actions taken against him would lead to massive consequences to trent as yussa controls much of the district and with his influence, as well as a perceived attack of the ruby of the sea (many people saw her flee to the tower, imagine being seen attacking beyonce) could convince a halt on trade to the empire, crippling the ENTIRE NATION, do yussa is not a figure trent would dream of messing with

@@irongiant5951 I mean, openly harboring fugitives of the Dwendalian Empire, who were actively caught robbing a personal holding of their personal archmage, with on of those fugitives being the daughter of the Ruby of the Sea would almost certainly slice quite a bit of influence that Yussa could wield. Unless of course he cut ties with the Nein and was shown to openly oppose them and their actions. I'm not sure that Trent could move directly against Yussa, but placing some form of Geass, or forcing political concessions would almost be required with this much leverage against him.

This episode shows what I love about these people. I have such a roller coaster relationship with Veth. I love her, but Sam is such a troll sometimes. This situation is a perfect example. Her greed gets them into a lot of trouble, then she has this realization moment with her husband. I love the duality of the character. Maybe I was too harsh on her last episode, she came in super clutch this episode. Tailing those 2 and finding out that Trent was there? Freaking Genius. And Laura is just the best at making me emotional. I loved this episode so much. I am on pins and needles, how are they gonna make it back out in time?

The M9 have been on the back foot since they started their travel with Lucien (about 10ish episodes at this point) and I cant help but think, someone is going to snap at some point and finally stand and fight back against Lucien, and the City, and Trent and we might as well throw Ukatoa in there as well for the hellov it.

So the counter spell. Word of recall is 6th lvl I beleive, so for trent to need to roll he would have had to have cast counter spell at 5th lvl or lower (lowest being 3rd lvl). The roll has no effect on the spell lvl of counter as cast so it would always be a 5th, 4th or 3rd spell. Therefore Caleb only needed to at best get a result (roll + modifiers) of 15 or above for his counter spell of the counter spell to work. The natural 20 was just showing off. And that is I think very fitting for Caleb

And they'd need all the strongest people they could for wherever they're going so... just YIKES all the way around. Hopefully the Happy Fun Ball was a better move.

in a single episode they went from being the esteemed heroes of two empires with their own johrhouse to murdering innocent guardsmen and becoming fugitives on the run contemplating living in a sewer and now they are completely out of spell slots, and they have split the party, with half of the party entering an ever changing death maze, and the other half being teleported to a plane of fire or hell or we don't even know yet, but it is NOT going to be a nice place I can guarantee it. as a dungeon master this is basically a wet dream scenario if you wanted to TPK the entire party. and they dragged 3 low level family NPC's into this situation with them as well, including a mother and a child, which can pretty much die instantly if they are confronted with any encounter with enemies near the party's level.

I am so excited and nervous about tomorrow!! I already got my cocktails ready for heavy hydration. Holy crap! Everyone that jumped to the plane of whatever are exhausted and major spell slots spent...the other half are in the fun ball. I don't know what terrifies me the most. 29:34 - After a billion and one rewatches, I JUST realised that Sam Cassandra'd the Happy Fun Ball... that, or he gave Matt the idea in that moment and Matt quickly DnDBeyond'd the Golem's stats... xD (*EDIT* Nah, from Matt's boyish delight as he said "Man, this's a PICKLE!" you just *know* that he realised Sam had just foreshadowed something he already had planned, and was so excited for the potential of them triggering it.)
