I will sincerely miss watching the Fjord/Jester romance. Watching a married couple with a kid devolve into an awkward high school crush was a level of wholesome I never thought I needed.

In the first two campaigns Marisha's characters were into the goth character and now in the 3rd she is the goth character.

I saw a comment at one point that Vax and Keyleth are like highschool freshmen: awkward, emotional, talking through it, neither is really sure how to be in a relationship. Alternatively, Vex and Percy are like highschool seniors: confident, drinking a lot, flirty, and not really caring about the feelings of anyone except each other (the Full Scrooge McDuck).

God, I don't care how many times I see it but Marisha's REACTION when Vax kisses Keyleth, and Travis *ANY* time we see Perc'Ahlia. It's just ALWAYS delightful. Man, I remember watching the Fjorester kiss happen live and just *screaming* into my friend's shoulder. Just how *intimate* and borderline *EROTIC* Travis made the act of asking for consent was *insane*.

Relationship assessments: Keyleth and Vax: Young, Angsty, tragic, emotional, teenage love. Incredibly awkward love driven by people who are not good with relationships. Percy and Vex: Romance, furious banging in private, passionate, full of depth. A power couple who are meant to be and are very very passionate. Fjord and Jester: Adorable, paradoxically wholesome and also weird at the same time, romantic. Overall a very stable relationship. Yasha and Beau: Even more awkward, dysfunctional, but also romantic and battle lovers. They are lovers and fighters. IMO, I think Percy and Vex and Fjord and Jester are still the best of the couples. Percy and Vex is my #1 for its emotional weight and its buildup.

This is so adorable I can’t even. Having said that, it’s hard to overstate how tricky this sort of thing is to make happen in a campaign. You need two very committed roleplayers, and the right style of campaign.

I really cannot overstate how much I love Jester's chiseled cheekbones line. Laura knows Travis is taking a leap he wasn't previously comfortable with, and she gives him that small comedic moment to breathe and let some of the tension out. Beautifully done.

My rp group never used to have romance in campaigns before I joined but I always play romantic fools and I have now converted everyone to the point where I was asked to run a Monsterhearts campaign so we could focus on roleplaying relationships more and have more romance drama and I love it. Having relationships added to roleplaying adds a little bit of spice ✨
