There are no "companies" that care about "you." This needs to be understood from the beginning.
@Strangepete
@Strangepete Год назад
True and neither are companies "being mean" they are just symptoms of the cancer, not the cause. Monetary economics as such is inherenly the issue. The labor for income paradigm, infinite growth, pursuit of job creation as if that is a good thing from a sane perspective, selling more and more on a finite planet, ruthless competetion, private ownership obsession, the need for profit to survive etc. all that is the corrw issue not individual mean greedy people. They have no real agency in this paradigm. The system itself is fundamentally and irrevocably f*cked.
@The_Absurdistt
@The_Absurdistt Год назад
@@Strangepete Humans, by natural design, are greedy. This is the one component that we must evolve out of in order to survive as a species. And if nature didn't plan that to happen, well, then extinction is our natural end. So be it.
@Strangepete
@Strangepete Год назад
@@The_Absurdistt Humans do have a strong tendency towards greed yes, due to evolving largely under scarcity or threat of impending scarcity. If modern science, technology and automation could largely change that and eventually provide free food, shelter, medical care and essentially provide all the necessities of life without a price tag for the whole human species and thus remove entirely any need for submission to labor and obtaining a paycheck through servitude THEN perhaps this strong tendency of greed and fear of lack could gradually subside as increasingly there truly would be no sensible rational need for greed, in the context of such a new paradigm. I don't think it WILL happen, at all. I just think technically it COULD happen, and ideally should.

Companies were forced to pay better and give workers decent working conditions. Many workers died for those benefits. Did this cause inflation to jump? Did the quality of life suffer, because workers now had a decent wage, decent work hours , etc? No! What happened after, was what my parents and grandparents called “the good old days”. Middle class America thrived, and America became a superpower. Since the 1980’s and the demonization of unions, we’ve been fed this propaganda from the big business world of…”if we increase your wages, inflation will follow….” Inflation has quadrupled, as wages have been stagnant. What’s their excuse??? Maybe it’s the exorbitant wages the elite get paid now? Stop listening to the propaganda…..

If you are young and do not outright own a home. Beware of following this path. It's fine when you are young, but could get ugly if that is the only choice you have later in life when it is difficult to work. I mean, how can anyone prefer showering at Planet Fitness, to sleeping in your own home and showering there and rocking on your own porch? Beware. Somethings are better secured while young. Tim has not lived to post working age yet. Cars could go up to 100K and then what do you do? Cars are depreciating assets and ultimately become trash. Homes are always of value. And we all need a roof. This is not a lifestyle to be admired for a life journey. It is alright to detox from the rat race and get your head straight. But not as a life's journey!!! DONT DO IT!!!

@@chippope8984there are ways to do both. If you live cheaply and save you can have a good life without working your life away. This moment is all you are guaranteed, tomorrow is just a promise. We are killing our souls for future hopes and dreams. Yes you need a home and a retirement plan, but, if you live cheaply you can pay your bills with 6 months of work, or 2 weeks a month. Step away for 6 months and you start to appreciate every day, because you own yourself for those days. More and more people are starting to see how the game works. Debt is a form of slavery. It's how we lose our freedom. Work to you have enough money to stop for a bit, then do it again.

Some folks love their homes and trimming bushes is therapeutic for them ok fine. But I was thinking how the big box stores profit by selling folks more crap. I’m 50. I’m not going to be in my 80s and my highlight of the day is taking trash cans out and cutting the grass. Got to be more to life than that. We spend so much time in America do crap like waxing and detailing cars, filling storage units etc for what? Just so silly to me as you take a step back. Almost can make you vomit.

Yes, we often sacrifice our present obsessing over the past and things that have already happened or constantly thinking about the future life we want to have instead of living right now. And being stuck in the past and future will certainly screw your life to hell. And yes, take some risks and get outside of your comfort zone, particularly if it is group think.

Get out of the system. Do you recommend giving up citizenship in the US and going sovereign (human)? Isn't the best way to stay off the govt radar is to be on govt radar? Work like normal, maybe for oneself? Do everything like all the sheep but think independently. Great video. I just left a dead end job after saving a ton of cash and buying supplies I needed. Next step job hoping and working for myself as a nice balance. In the system but not of the system, as Bruce Lee used to say.

@Bill Yun Air, Learn to live in the Public and the Private. Start with understanding what your Strawman is. If you are American, stay American, but, if you want to do away with citizenship with the United States of America Corporation, that is a different process. Two different things here; America is the continent and the UNITED STATES is the corporation and your citizenship is with the corporation. Again, The UNITED STATES is NOT a country, but, a corporation. Understand your Strawman for starters. It is a deep and winding rabbit hole.
@billyunair
@billyunair Год назад
@@JRob-nw5mt Yes The US was incorporated right after the civil war with the Act of 1871 then the act of 1900. The straw man is your corporate fiction assigned at birth with a SSN. There are quite a few benefits to retaining a citizenSHIP in the US corporation. Our passport is solid gold, figuratively, worldwide for travel. I wonder how much harder it would be to live on the American continent or in the US corp specifically as a sovereign citizen after renouncing the strawman acct, SSN? May not be worth it. Maybe it would be. Yes the strawman research and sovereign citizenship can be a rabbit hole. Agreed. Cheers

Thanks Tim. In my case I saw this range of issues when I was 25....and made up my mind to live while I was young...which I did, broadly. But I also worked hard. . So now at age 82, and about to kick off I get a huge wide grin when I think of those days....and these days.... its working. I did not do it perfectly however so now I live off shore and am still working at 82 on line... that keeps ones mind sharp...and the money is nice too. Off shore now in my old age and any care needed is easily provided by my mid range social security.... not so bad.. if it holds out.... and it may not given the current world wide economic mess and its root causes. . Are there better routes? I am sure there is. Is it possible to keep from being blind sided? . Well if a person takes your advice and possibly a bit of what people like me have done...its pretty hard to have a ruined life even if the situation sees a person starving to death at age 90.... its too late to have a bad life in that case, especially if you got it all done earlier....

Very important message here. Thanks. I often think of myself at 80 and where I want to be, and I work backwards to where I am now, at 37. Then move in that direction. Freedom and self sufficiency are priority. I'm also focused on actually enjoying my life, work, and relationships. Doing all I can to keep them enjoyable. Not easy all the time but it is possible. Having a good run. Congratulations to you 👍🏿

I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to travel while young. I traveled abroad in my 20’s. It gave me a lust for traveling and life. I think this generation- Millenials and after- we have the opportunities to really enjoy our lives and explore the world. We can see possibilities that the older generation could not see. And we should definitely take advantage of that. Work in other places. Spend time with family, caring for others, volunteering. Not slaving away each and every day, feeling miserable because of it. Take a day trip somewhere. Take walks, breathe fresh air, smile at others. No job or government can control you. We are in control of ourselves and our own happiness.

Its hard to know what choices to make if you cant see into the future. One in three men don't live to 70 yrs old. If you knew that was going to be you, you'd just have a good time now. But you might live to 100 yrs old. In which case planning for the future would be a good idea.

I understand all of that ...but raising a family, school, and such...is not sacrifice...it's a labor of love. Trying to make car life or van life seem like the way...could be a way but there is ups and downs to all life. Yet find your niche in life fill it and be happy. I love stability...no I don't live in a box I live in a home...and yes we fish, hike, and back yard bonfires, dinners with family and friends is all fun. Yet it is our responsibility to teach values, morales, and integrity in our children. so if you happy where you are at great...but don't knock the home life either...we Are living now and enjoying now while getting where we are going ... just fill your spot in life as well as others will fill theirs...and let's be kind to each other if you live in a home or a car...or on the streets...be kind...❣

Yes, sacrifice your youth to the system to make enough money so the system can vampirize it back from you when you are old. Also, the social security check will be shit. A lot of it comes down to: irrational fear of death, and irrational desire to prolong life through torturous chronic decline.
