Thank you for watching ❤️ it's good to be back! So what do you think... Will our van survive the ocean crossing and get to Halifax with all our stuff still in there? 😮
This channel really gave us a lot of knowledge, You did that most people would never do in their lifetimes, Hope your precious camper van Vinnie arrived safely, I also wish you a happy Pan American trip, thank you for sharing!👍😃🙌 這個頻道真的是讓我們長了很多的知識,你們做了大部份人一輩子都不會做的事, 希望你們的寶貝露營車 Vinnie安全抵達,也祝你們泛美之旅渡假愉快,謝謝分享!
The preparation of the van delivery by ship is really tiring and exhausting. Eventually it went on smoothly. Good job! Can’t wait to see your new adventures along the Pan American way in the very near future! Stay safe and good luck. Love you guys! Blessing from Taiwan.
Exciting! Looking forward to seeing your adventures! Guessing you be driving across Canada since you are heading to Alaska ? If so, we live a few KM from the center of Canada sign in Manitoba, and you are more than welcome to park on our acerage for an overnight if needed. WIshing you a safe flight! - Coreen
Yes we will be making a short drive across Canada. Halifax-Alaska is a wee bit of a distance. We were actually doing some research yesterday and learned about the sign, so we will probably pass there as our halfway mark. Send us a message on Instagram, let's see if we can make it work.
So excited to see you both back. Looking forward to your new adventure. I discovered you in February when your Getting Covid in Mexico video popped up. I've been catching up since then!
Have even waiting for this video. Figured you were super super busy and was glad to see I was right. So glad all is going well. Looking forward to you being on this side of the pond again. Safe travels to Vinny and you two!
I have everything crossed for you and for the van making it there safely and in one piece. Can’t wait to follow this next journey with you guys. Van was looking hella clean! Good luck! 🤗😄
That’s actually a good price to ship your van! You’ll recoup that saving on accommodation and transport, easily!!! I thought it would be double or triple! Well done! Worth it!
Excited for you guys to finally make it to 🇨🇦. When you get to the Alberta/British Columbia border, make sure you visit Banff National Park….you won’t be disappointed! So good luck and I look forward to the videos. Cheers!
Wow, this is so exciting! Can't wait for you guys to make it to Canada and tell us about Vanny and about your plans for the trip! How long do you think it will take you? Where in Canada will you start the drive on the Panamerican? Quite expensive the shipping considering you need to remove gas and all that stuff needed for a comfortable life on the van... I guess renting a customized van in Canada was not an option as you will end the trip in Argentina? Fingers crossed! Would be great if you could share some quick updates on your Instagram along your journey, keep a journal there or something!
Yeah we're really happy to get started too. Our drive will start in Halifax, on the east coast of Canada and then we will drive all across Canada to Alaska, which is about 8000-9000km. Alaska is the starting point of the pan american highway. Yeah shipping is a bit of a pain if you can't fit it into a container. But renting is about 200usd a day, so def not an option haha. And our van has been specifically designed and built for our needs. We have a pretty elaborate electrical system for example to be able to work for a loooong time. We will also be posting more again on IG. Just didn't have the time last couple of weeks.
Welcome to US. I’m a Taiwanese with my wife living in South Texas. If you happen to be in Harlingen/ Brownsville area, please let me know, I can be the host. Have a safe trip.
It’s funny it seems only yesterday when you were talking about Pan Am … yet you sorted out so many things in the meantime you ve done so well it seems only yesterday that you were and I was in Mexico 🤞🏼it all goes according to plan! Have lots of fun … I cannot wait! 😘😘Sabrina
Wow! I was stressing along with you with all of the preparations. It angers me that it is a "standard" thing that things will get stolen from your van! Best of luck, and glad you are back to posting videos :)
Wat een werk zeg, maar jullie zijn al geslaagd in deze missie om jullie camper naar Canada te krijgen.Veel succes op jullie avontuur en ik kijk al uit naar jullie volgende video.Fijne avond, groetjes, Gilberte
3 hours ago I was checking your Instagram to see if there are news since it has been some time since the last update!!! And now I see the video :D :D :D Greetings from Brussels!
Yeah we've been really busy with shipping our van, working to pay for the shipping and saying goodbye to our friends and family. We should be back to regular posting next week. Also on IG ☺️
Fantastic, I could have waved to your van on it's way to Southampton, it would have come though the Solent close to the Isle of Wight. Hope it reaches Canada intact x
Are you guys flying into Halifax and driving all the way to Alaska to begin? If you are spending time in Halifax- I hope you enjoy! I'm from there, but haven't been home in years. People there are super friendly- it's actually so weird after living in places like Germany and Hungary and then visiting again. It's like entering Pleasantville or something. 😂
Hey bro and sis, I just started the playlist, but I will resume when you guys start from Alaska and hopefully you will go through El Salvador to the Magellan’s straight
Are you going to venture into Halifax and Nova Scotia?? I hope so, it is worth a visit - it is my home and - plenty of beautiful sites, delicious sea food and cultural things to explore. Cape Breton - the Cabot trail drive is one of the most beautiful drives out there, plus plenty of celtic/Nova Scotian hospitality. Check out a ceilidh while you are in the province as well. If you need restaurant recommendations - let me know!
Yes we are. Actually flying into Halifax today, as our van will be arriving there. The cabot trail is def on our list, it looks amazing. Haven't heard about Ceilidh yet, we'll def check it out. We'd love some good recommendations if you have some
Welcome to Halifax Naick and Kim! I’m glad to hear the Cabot Trail is on your list, it’s beautiful! We love it so much we got married in the Cape Breton highlands national park last October!
@@NaickKim that's wonderful! Safe travels! In Halifax, downtown the waterfront cannot be missed. The stubborn goat has delicious food and craft beers and drinks . If you take the ferry across to dartmouth, or drive to their waterfront, Battery beer park serves delicious burgers and local craft beers, and Evan's seafood has some great food as well! Two if by sea has buttery croissants, and Humble pie has delicious meat pies. Then once you venture to the Cabot trail, some must dos are the skyline trail, the red shoe pub - owned by local musicians. They host ceilidhs - which are celtic music parties with often some dancing involved, picture something like you'd find in many irish pubs.
Hey guys. You’re shipping the van to Halifax? That’s where I’m from. Visit the Halifax Waterfront and have a Poutine, some excellent seafood and of course a delicious Beavertail (delicious pastry)Also I was born in Cape Breton so the Cabot Trail is a must see. It’s about 6 hours drive from Halifax. Are you then driving across Canada or across the US? Have a fabulous time and stay safe!
Yeah we shipped it to Halifax. We already went to pick up the van and went to Cape Breton. Amazing place! We'll be driving all across Canada to Alaska.
Looks like you will make it in time for June the end of lobster season in Nova Scotia !!! I am hoping to get there by plane too! When you get to Kelowna, BC. You have a free place to park and stay if you want, I so hope to meet you two.
Good luck guys. I shall be following your adventures with great interest. Perhaps you will meet Marianne and Chris of Tread the Globe who are currently in New Mexico but are planning to head towards Alaska in the Summer. Or will it be a case of vans that pass in the night?
ngl, I thought the shipping would be more expensive. To ship one small container with items from a studio apartment from Washington state to North Carolina is about the same price. 🤦🏻♀ ugh. But can't wait to see your adventures in the Americas!
I wonder if Vans get sea sick or home sick ? Like you told it before shipping , it will have many vans and cars to talk to on the trip on the ship, and will be excited to see you in Canada
Imma just the same question here: What do you film with? In the Mexican street food video you switched between regular and tele lens quite quickly. Is it a phone with multi camera setup? Or is it a proper setup? Maybe you cod describe it to me a bit, thank you!!
We actually have 2 camera's. One is the Canon eos rp, our main camera with. Canon 10-18mm vlogging lens. The other is our old camera, the Canon 80D, with a 50mm lens. The sound stopped working on the 80D, so we bought the RP. But it's really handy to have the 80D with a 50mm telephoto lens. We also have a sigma 24mm 1.4 lens for filming in low light. Last week we also bought a second hand canon 70-300mm lens, mainly to have the opportunity to film some wildlife if we happen to come across some.
@@NaickKim ohh wow thank you for the thorough reply! I recently watched the budgeteers hitchhiking series from California all the way down to Panama and I loved it. I'm excited to see your perspective of North, central and South America. I haven't bee. There yet but I wanna go there for sure! Good luck!!
So excited you guys are on our continent again:) Loved watching this detailed breakdown of shipping, though honestly we paid about half that amount shipping from Jacksonville Florida to Holland many years back, so that fair (though painful), especially with your long term plans. The warm Gulf Coast is your home if needed on your journey:) Sending Best Wishes and Blessings, James and Kim ❤️
