wow Finally someone featured that HBO Go mini park. I jog every weekends in BGC on that park where the see saw is. That area is very up and coming with restaurants and nice condos. That is my favorite part of BGC

Thank you, Jayson, for subtly telling this foreigner to mind her city locations. We do mind when they irresponsible keep calling everything manila just because they're walking on concrete. BGC is NOT in manila. It's in Taguig. Eastwood is NOT in manila. It's in Quezon City -- by far, the largest city in the NCR. Frankly, I don't understand why is it so hard for that couple to understand the difference and/or name their locations properly esp that we have Google for a long time already.

@@piacash5216 Not true. The vicinity of manila is Pasay (south), Makati/Mandalyong/San Juan/ QC (East), Caloocan/Novaliches (north). Taguig is actually on the opposite edge of the region. So... NO. BGC is not within the vicinity of manila. And NO... "Metro Manila" is not the same as "Manila". In fact, "Metro manila" is no more. It's been renamed to "NCR" for a long time now. Manila is just that tiny city on the west coast. Everything else is NOT manila anymore.

Old Manila before WW2 was used to be known as the Paris of the East because of its European charm n ambience but sadly Manlla was but was burnt to the ground n most of the Neo Classical n Art Deco design buildings were destroyed n only a few remained standing....

I'd say that it had its own unique charm because while the city had a lot of European influence, the Bahay na Bato architecture that was prevalent throughout the city is completely unique to the Philippines, you would never see those types of houses in Europe.

for local experience, street food, and old establishments try cubao area or quezon city its one of the oldest cities in metro manila, before it developed into Singapore type of place. maybe in the next 5 years.

The stark difference between BGC and the other places that you've visited like Manila is because BGC is a business district and so the government gets more tax out of those companies compared to a cuty or district that is a residential area. naturally, BGC needs to be well-maintained in order to attract more businesses and peoole who can afford to live in a more upscale area of the city. the rest of Taguig, where BGC is located, is not the same as the BGC area. it also looks like the other places you've already seen in Metro Manila.

Thank you, kabayan, for this informative comment. Indeed, strictly, BGC is not really a city -- among others, this means it is not part of our gvmt and does not elect its own mayor. It's just a business district with a fancy name in the city of Taguig. Sadly, our business agencies (e.g. SEC, BIR, DTI etc) will approve any name you want for your business as long as no one else has it. So we will just have to accept BGC as a "city" but only as its registered name and in the very common / loose sense of the word. Second, THANK YOU for correcting this vlogger. Indeed, BGC is NOT in Manila. It's in TAGUIG. Both in NCR but each a city on its own. Let's all help promote correct PHL geography and stop tolerating ignorance esp of those foreigners. We have Google for a long time now. They will not find it hard to check their proper location!

Hi! I enjoy watching your videos. New subscriber here. Very interesting that you visited Binondo and now BGC wc shows 2 very different places in the metro. Have you visited Baguio City? Check it out. Its the summer capital of the Phils. Its cooler there bec its a city on top of the mountains. A lot of ukay-ukay stores (flea market for clothes/shoes etc.) and markets.

Thank you so much for indirectly correcting this vlogger. Indeed, BGC is not in Manila. It's in Taguig, METRO manila (or simply, "Taguig"). In fact, even "Metro Manila" is already obsolete. It was renamed to NCR way back 1978 precisely to distinguish "Manila" from the rest of the equally valid cities in the region. BGC is not in Manila. It's in Taguig.

Manila is the only city in the world where you can find a old Spanish town (Intramuros), the biggest Chinatown (Binondo), Koreatown (Malate), an Italian city of Venice complete w/a canal n gondola (McKinley) , n soon to be a Paris like city along the banks of Pasig just like Latin Quarter along the Seine River, but still under restoration n rehabilitation.....this is why its more fun in the Philippines or rather Manila..

@@piacash5216 METRO Manila is a region. "Manila" is only one of many cities in it. They sound similar but they are NOT the same. NO ONE calls the region simply as Manila. Always, it is METRO Manila. In fact, "Metro Manila" is already obsolete. It was renamed to NCR way back 1978 exactly to distinguish that tiny city Manila from the rest of the equally valid cities in the region. Manila is mere 4% of the NCR. Bear that in mind if you think it's OK to call everything here Manila.

if you go to Makati, make sure you go to Makati CBD, not Poblacion (redlight district). They're two very different areas. Stick to Salcedo Village and Legazpi Village

While in BGC, visit the American cemetery. It's a beautiful and serene place to see. It's free just don't wear tong and short short 😅 Dont miss the place, i swear so beautiful landscape
