Today we will show you our travel to BGC in the Philippines and our first impressions after moving here. Is Bonifacio Global City as good as everyone says to stay at?
We are leaving Bangkok sadly after 6 months and it was amazing. Now its time to continue our adventure in the Philippines and show you our experiences because at Yes and Explore we travel smarter not harder!

The Philippines or rather BGC is Manila....there are so many modern cities around Metro Manila such as Makati, Rockwell, Venice Grand Canal, Vertis North, Cubao n Ortigas centers, Greenfield District, Mall of Asia n Aseana City, Filinvesr city and a few other Business, Financial, Commercial n Residential areas being developed like Arca South, Bridgetown, Parklane, etc... what you see as Manila is the old Manila...there are several developments all over the Philippines such in Cebu City, Iloilo city , Baguio city etc....

Davao city is also modern and clean, and the largest by land area. Also, one of the biggest urban cities in the country.

You can visit Batanes, Cebu, Siquijor, Camiguin (better than touristy Boracay), Samal Island (Davao), Iloilo, Palawan, and Ilocos if you have time.

The condo looks as basic as you can get in BGC so interested to know the monthly cost considering it is one of the most expensive places to live in Manila.

BGC is not the only "nice" area in Metro Manila/ the Philippines. Eastwood, Aseana, Newport, and some other cities in the province.

Just to correct you, BGC is not in Manila because Manila the capital is far from the location. You are actually in Taguig City where I'm in. If you are not exactly in Manila and you are in one of the other 16 cities, the proper term would be either "Metro Manila" or "National Capital Region" to educate your viewers and other expats who may want to visit the Philippines as well. 😉

Agree. BGC is not in Manila at all. BGC is in Taguig -- a city on its own ~2x the size of Manila. We appreciate all these vloggers promoting our humble country, but they should do it properly. Dear Trucho, for correct info: BGC is not in Manila. It's actually in Taguig -- a totally different city. Keep this in mind to avoid confusion with your realtor / lessor. Too many foreigners assume they're in Manila just because they're walking on concrete.

Ah. Well, I'm going to use your realtor next month. So just to be clear, you did not sign a 6 month lease. Are you doing the same thing in BGC or actually going to lease a place. My next stop after Bangkok is Danang.

I don't get why you're repeatedly pointing out how different BGC is to the rest of the Philippines when in fact there are numerous locations which is comparable to BGC development. Ayala seaside, Eastwood City, Greenhills, Arca South, Ortigas, Makati CBD, etc. Was it because you expect the whole country to look poor and underdeveloped?
