I'm surprised this was recommended more than Road of Resistance live in Japan or Headbanger Live @ Legend 1997. Gimme chocolate is a fun song, but if you want to see Babymetal go all out then it's got to be either of the two songs I just mentioned or BxMxC a banger too for different reasons

Many fans don't like to see reactors pick Gimme Chocolate, especially early on their journey, because it's a pretty simple song and bears the risk of not being taken seriously. I agree to some extent, but I also think that it's a very BABYMETALish song that sums them up pretty well. It's a very unique sort of music, and it's a boatload of fun that's guaranteed to leave you with a smile on your face and a chorus in your head for the rest of the week. There are worse things than that.

The girls were as young as 14 years old when they recorded this song so you don’t need to read any double entendres into the lyrics.

Great reaction - and yes this is one of their fun songs - they have more meaningful and deeper songs, but there's nothing wrong with just wanting a bit of chocolate every now and then. It was the original official video for 'Gimme Chocolate' that went viral in 2014 and got them the initial attention internationally ... personally I'm very glad you pick a live version to watch as the video has studio audio and it was also filmed before the Kami Band took the stage - live is always better.

Budokan 2021 marks their 10 years anniversary celebration and seal the Metal Resistance chapter along with another seal for the group, fortunately that seal is already broken since they already released three new singles and kick start of their new era, get ready for a new BM side we've never seen before, another single is coming soon this month, and don't worry about copyright blocked, no one is having any issue. They fought against many enemies on this road and many more battles, but they manage to get through all of it, and this song is the most viewed in their channel for a reason, they become super famous worldwide after this hit. Budokan Arena is just a name for general martial arts place, there are other Budokan throughout Japan but this one in Tokyo is the most important and is big, this is the place any artist wants to reach when you're over the top, and they did it already in 2014 when they were even younger and having many struggles so they needed a revenge to pull away those ghosts from the past. Sadly this 2021 live concerts is a half capacity due to covid restrictions and safety measures and crowd wasn't allowed to mosh'sh, crowd surfing or shout without face mask, instead they can stomp their feet, clap their hands or doing a human wave, at least they can do something to participate in this epic and memorable date event. Since YuiMetal left the group officially in 2018 you won't see her after that year at live performance. After 2019 they implemented this new _avenger_ system with three different backup dancers rotating in different songs and live performances, they don't sing or have a mic, they just dance and none of them are official BM member just like the Kami Band. Also they switched the face paints of the Kami Band using masks, many fans don't like that, i personally don't bother at all since this is probably related to not having to give excuses for switching members after sad Mikio Fujioka departure (R.I.P.) Momoko Okazaki was the _avenger_ or third backup dancer filling the third spot in all these 10 live concerts. Road of Resistance live is without a doubt the most, I don't know how to describe it, as a person who appreciates concerts and music culture to audiences, that is without a doubt the highest babymetal video I recommend, the audience participation is insane!!!!

Moa ans Suzuka did this song for the first time when they were still 14 and 16 years old respectively together with their third original member. Their first album is literal Babymetal in their early experimental and most idol way. Bur all the songs in their second album Metal Resistance are quality metal. Any song in their third album Metal Galaxy is again experimental, doing collaborations to fuse different styles with the heavy metal intruments.

This song actually has a deeper meaning, they were teens. When they recorded this song and the record label/music industry, put an emphasis on their body image and wouldn't let them eat junk foods. A lot of record labels especially in Asian cultures focus on body images and control their personal lives. Also a reason Yui left, her health wasn't good and she wanted her life back.

I'm always a little sad when people don't see the Legend 1997 version for the first time :D

Hi guys, if you really want to go deeper into Japanese rock/metal music. I strongly recommend you to hear Wagakki Band or Maximum the Hormone in case you haven't heard them. Wagakki Band combines modern instruments with traditional ones, such a beautiful combination, they sang with Amy Lee and made a song together as well which is called SAKURA. Maximum the hormone is a combination of different styles of music within rock of course, if you hear them, select ALIEN, you will understand what I said

It such a fun goofy song. The stages are what you get when you have a bunch of Japanese engineers with a healthy budget and tell them to build a cool stage.

I often think part of the reason I enjoy Babymetal is, it's the heavy music I always loved with the energy, grace and beautiful vocals from the Young ladies. It's the lift of metal music without the baggage of modern metal vocals and lyrics. There are a number of vocalist doing some crazy heavy stuff but it's not for me.

There is a "code" to the chocolate. On Valentine's Day girls in Japan have to give chocolate to all the males that they know. It is called obligation chocolate, or Giri Choco in Japanese; the song title is GImi Choco. And they're not giving it away, they're keeping it. Song was released for Valentine's Day in 2014 I have to agree. I play bass, and I cannot imagine playing on a stage with that many effects and distractions.

I appreciate you guys giving these girls an opportunity on your channel, but you cant get the full effect of this song unless you see them perform it in its prime when they were still teenie. Watching their growth and maturity is an amazing thing and best appreciated if you follow their timeline. They quite literally are The Best Show On Earth.
