The part where he slides up the screen with the old family video behind him, like he's trying to crawl his way back into how life was when he was little. Mind blowing all around.
Please watch Promise Me by Badflower. It's a tear jerker! 😂 Fun facts- The lead singer Josh recorded pretty much this entire video alone by himself in his barn, just him and a projector. Given how sensitive of a subject this was for Josh, he wanted to be alone for this video. The emptions hes showing are very real. Also, that cat at the end that comes up to the projection of him wasn't planned. It just happened to be perfect timing that when his buddy (director of their music videos) came by to do that last shot, the cat came up giving the extra perspective that it was a projection of him. Just saw them live for the second time a couple weeks ago. They're touring right now. They're my favorite band. Absolutely adore them. Their music videos and music are so amazing.
Yes! I just came here to explain that Josh did this video on his own in the barn on their farm. Happy to see so many Badflower fans. And oh boy the Promise Me video makes me weep every time! 🙌🏻
@sundaycoony Badflower is awesome. I went to another show of theirs this past summer and did VIP so that I could meet them. Ended up being front row right up against the center of the stage the whole show (wasnt even a barricade, my stomach was literally against the stage lol) so Josh and Alex were like 5 feet in front of me the whole time. One of the best experiences of my life for sure. 😂
I have seen Badflower in concert three times - they put on an amazing show. Everyone in the band is fantastic. Please definitely do more, they’re so worth checking out. I'd highly recommend Stalker, Johnny Wants to Fight, 30, and Only Love
Josh, the singer, also does the videos and lighting and live performance aspects. All their songs aren't sad, they have some straight bangers too. xANAx, Johnny Wants to Fight, Stalker, Animal, etc.
A really fun song from them is an older one called "animal". Also, the singer did this whole video almost all on his own with a projector while his friend was sending him his childhood (the singer's) videos the friend was trying to convert from VHS. Then the friend came in to help with some shots. The end when the cat walks into the projection was an accident but was so genius and perfectly (puuurfectly?) timed. Great band full of great people. My personal fav is a song called "move me".
I found your channel because of badflower (and I stayed for others) but I'm SO happy you picked them back up!! They do have songs that put you in the feels (another one would be the Jester) but they do have less upsetting ones with cool videos (Don't Hate Me and 30). Thank you for getting back in to them, yall are my favorite reactors!
It's only been two songs but i love watching you guys react to Badflower. It's really REALLY great to find a channel that listens to the lyrics, tries to actually take them in, and tries to understand what they're seeing and hearing. Badflower do have some less emotional songs but even their more upbeat ones have their own messages. I love listening to them all the time, they're one of my favorite bands, but it can definitely be difficult because of the topics they write about & the amount of emotion Josh Katz puts into performing. I'd recommend 'Don't Hate Me', '30', or 'xANAx' for your upbeat depression 'F*ck the World' or 'Promise Me', for your regular depression 'Tethered', 'The Jester', or "Machine Gun' for when you forget how awful people can be 'Fukboi' or 'D*e' for an upbeat but important social message 'Animal' for anytime but not in front of your grandma perhaps Just to throw out a few titles lmao
This song hits so very close to home for me, they have so many great tunes, and so much of it comes from an honest place that makes the pain of it almost hopeful, in that there is someone else who understands these feelings.
This was all done in a barn or garage. All creatively made with lighting, effects.. And my favorite tidbit, when he appears to climb the walls on his back or swim up the wall? Lying on a skateboard. My favorite video from them for so many reasons.
Fuuuuck this song hits me so hard… heard it in a Spotify playlist and I ended up pulling my car over to really listen, ended up listening to it several more times, which lead to everything Badflower after that. Such an amazing band
So glad you guys came back to Badflower. They are amazing guys and extremely talented. Listening to Josh (the lead singer) explaining how the video was made and the fact that I cried the first time I watched it (my first time listening to the song), I almost need to watch the video while listening to it every time because of how artistic and beautiful it is. I hope you guys continue to react to them. I promise not all of their songs are as heavy as this and ghost 😉
Would love to see more Badflower! Have you heard 24? It's super slow and dark, maybe listen to it on your own, but we'd love to share the experience if you're open to it. DIE it's another great one, but they all are. Animal is my favorite to sing. I love your reactions, thank you!
Ghost for sure that'll change your whole day trust me. A fun one is 30. Jester is another sad one or Heroin. Johnny Wants To Fight. I'd love to hear back if you checked those out! I went to their show one time, concert cost 20 dollars, they played for 2 hours, I thought it would be a 50 minute set at most love this band and think its awesome they did that.
Who the hell is Badflower and why have I never heard of them before??? Thank you for introducing them to me. I have been trying to find a new band to explore. Great reaction to an amazing song guys! 🤟
And in case you didn’t know, Josh Katz (Badflower frontman) was in the Ice Nine Kills “Funeral Derangements” music video while Spencer Charnas from INK is in Badflower’s “Don’t Hate Me” music video ☺️
No reaction video has mentioned this yet. But I'd be so curious to know how his family reacted when they first heard this. Again, I don't know anything about these guys beyond a few songs, but if this was pulling from true history, I hope the song was cathartic for all of them. This is one of the deepest songs I've heard. True work of art.
Damn, this is my first time hearing Badflower and it hit so hard. Tomorrow I'm having two teeth yanked out and then I'm going to surprise my sister with a visit and apologise for being a grade A thunder c**t of a brother. I think the dentist is going to be the easier part of the day
Good job psychos….I don’t know much about this group, but can we also give it up for the drummer? Very cool off beat patterns, really sets the mood for me. Very cool song.
This song hits hard and took me always back to the ground. I can relate everything and this is one Song who helped me heal from depression and burn out. I used to scream my lungs out to this masterpiece. Caught me everytime. Thank you guys. The last weeks were a struggle. I needed this really. Always fantastic work from you guys. If could i would hug you guys. Greetings from Austria
Just starting this video. I have never heard of this group / person or this song so this will be interesting. I love the way y'all react to NF and Ren so I thought to myself, why not check out something new from my favorite reactors Update after watching: Okay this just wrecked me. I'm sure a lot of people can relate to what he's saying here. But this was definitely hard to listen to this morning
I love badflower so much! They are mostly sad songs. Their song "tethered" gets my crying every time. It hurts much worse than this some but it's great! Their songs are so well written.
The best way I can describe the ending the distortion on him but not on the cat if you look closely, is that he's the projection. He's actually behind the scenes. You need to react to the music video for promise me by badflower that will put you in tears
***tw / mention of CSA** PLEASE do a review of “Daddy.” I recently missed a Badflower concert because I found out my 6 year old daughter’s father had been SA her and threatened to kill me if she told. She was brave and told and jumped in the car with me scared I’d be hurt. As a CSA survivor myself - I adore Badflower and applaud them for addressing this issue. I love y’all’s videoes and Badflower! Thank you for what y’all do.
I love Badflower, they know how to write a depression song that makes you feel better and thats hard to do. It might not get the views that it deserves but I think they are one of my top 5 bands. Listen to 30 (this songs a fun one that might get bigger views) or Animal or Machine Gun or Don't Hate Me. One other one you guys might really like is Johnny Wants To Fight thats a fun kinda song in a way. Again might not get the views it deserves maybe but if you dont care about the views as much as you sometimes want good music to make you think they are a perfect band.
Sorry for the out of topic comment but i just came home from a trip to switzerland to see Motionless in White live and i gotta tell you: It was the MOST AWESOME show ive ever seen. If you can, just go watch them!! For an hour straight they just go freakin hard its almost inhuman! If you appreciate a good show and quality music, just go and watch them live. They deserve all the recognition 🖤🖤🖤🖤
Note: Josh Katz sings what he knows and struggles with. Ghost, 30, Family... that is him as a little boy and his actual family, in the background film. He also does a song called Anna, taking off the two Xs, as he was prescribed the rx and felt laughed at and to dance like a monkey. Very interesting. I could go on and on as a Badflower fan. Rabbit hole, well worth the time. Also, a mandatory reaction is the "Jester". Thanks, I love to watch you two. ✌ Jodi/Child of the 60s
Badflower always speaks on hard to hear topics but they're so important to be spoken about. I suggest "Daddy" by them, it's hard to hear but so crucial to be talked about.
Badflower is great you should dive into them. Move me is great and Fuckboi is my favorite. AND Josh the lead singer was in Ice Nine Kills video Funeral Derangements. Spencer was in Badflowers video Don't hate me. Some info for yall lol. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-s3mYCJso23c.html

I really like badflower and i think you should listen to ‘stalker’ or ‘30’ - both are great songs and in a little bit different style. Really recommend them!
