Fun fact. In what I believe was their first concert stop in 2018 Jennie broke down and starting crying during her part. Amazingly the crowd began singing her part. You can find a number of vids here on YT. It was a moment for all especially for Jennie who later said that years of hard work leading to their concert had caught up to her.

Correct. The section that Jennie sings is in fact the lyrics that she wrote for this song. It has a deep meaning for her and I would imagine to the other girls as well. Which is why when she went to sing it live for the first time the emotions got to her. It is also why all the other members surrounded her and comforted her during that time on stage.

Jennie wrote stay, out of sadness and missing all her trainee friends that kept leaving while BP kept waiting to debut (they were supposed to debut 2012). This is why this song is personal and you could see her tearing up every time she sings it.

There is actually a really dark theory about this music video. The theory is that Jennie,jisoo,and rosè have died and Lisa is still alive and contemplating rather or not to go with her friends which is why she is walking on that plank ( which symbols life and deaf)and is also why she is wondering those empty halls looking for something (the girls). At the end she finally decides to join them which is why they’re dancing in the spotlight and those people in white around them are said to be angels watching over the girls

Yes, and Lisa has less blur/clouds around her, she is less faded. Some people go into incredible detail about Stay. Like where and how the 3 girls die...about the blink angels...and even how it is connected to their Whistle song, etc

Stay is a very sentimental song for us Blinks. This song has always been their finale song on their concerts in their earlier days. When they sang this song when they were in Manila i bawled out man i really do because i know that is it thats the end of teh concert

There is a whole lot of great Blackpink stuff to react to. Their comedy/variety shows, live stages,.... their dance practices are awesome!!! This one really does express what you sort of saw in Lovesick Girls. When they are apart they are lonely. In a group, they rejoice together. It's sort of who they are in a way. Jennie said at one point, everyone who started with her was gone. When Lisa showed up, they bonded. They grabbed Jisoo and all moved in together holding onto each other for dear life. When Rose' showed up, they moved her in. They became this solid super tight team. Part of why they all made it together. They had each other. So now it's one of the things they sing about.

The whole concert for sure is at the top without a doubt (if you end up reacting to Tokyo dome one, then here's a fun fact - mejority of the songs from this concert are Japanese version of their songs, meaning vocal lyrics are in Japanese and rap is in English)... 2nd one is THE SHOW (it was in covid time so sadly there are no audiance in this one)

I think the demand for BP live performances are high is because when you think their songs are amazing already, the live performances... make you realise how talented they are and its like your listening to that particular song for the first time again, with even more appreciation- their stage presence is almost unmatched. You will get alot of request for the Tokyo Dome performance and quite rightly so. The performances from this concert is breathtaking to watch cause of the quality of the footage. Tokyo dome must watch for me: DDDD remix Kick it But honestly if you can dedicate an hour to the whole concert you wont be sorry. Outside of tokyo dome, it has to be pretty savage - i think on Jimmy kimmel ? Then you have coachella 2020 and as of last month the 2023 version. Oh and one that isnt their song but a cover is Migual - Sure thing - one of my favourite covers. Looking forward to see what you decide to watch, cant wait guys!

as far as live stages. I think many would say, Kill this Love from first Coachella appearance. Anything from that fist Coachella set. It was a MOMENT when nobody over here had really seen them. So it wasn't a sure thing that they would hit as hard as they did. Then just EVERYTHING seemed to be working that night on that stage. The audience was CRAZY into them. News reports screamed that performance all over the world. DU-du du-du remix encore Tokyo Dome is just one of their very best appearances. After one of their BEST and longest performances (any one from Tokyo Dome first time is going to be crazy good), they come back out on stage, dressed casually not even looking tired or sweaty in ANY way. And they proceed to destroy a whole new version of everyones favorite song. IT IS A KILLER!!!

It's interesting to me how I've never seen anybody reacting to the song that has ever really caught the meaning. To me, the guy is in the hospital likely in a coma and she is just saying "stay with me" like don't die! The line "I'd rather be with you in awkward silence" and the nurses and doctors surrounding them near the end confirm my thought.

"STAY" is My Favorite song from BlackPink(‘The Happiest Girl’, is now tied with it)... And Jennie was one of the writers, but was not credited. To Me it's about those who have left us(passed), we want them to STAY. And the people in white appearing and disappearing at the end are their spirits... still with us, but not at the same time. BTW you should ALWAYS pay attenting to any Signs and Writting/Graffiti in the background of this or ANY BlackPink M/V. They are important and have meaning. "Dance With Me, I Wish You Were Here"

Also, it has nothing to do with BP, but since is a kpop reaction: G i-dle made a comeback today (Queencard), BUT you must see the pre release ''Allergy'' first, since the two songs are conected. You have to do the live version where Jennie cries and cannot sing so Jisoo and Blinks sing her verse for her. Lisa gets choked up and can barely get her first verse out. Jisoo gives Jennie magic cheek pinches while Blinks sing Jennie's 2nd verse for her. It is so touching I cannot watch it without crying. Also, live Jisoo & Rose' is way better than produced Jisoo and Rose'. It is obvious on this one that YG tones back both Jisoo & Rose' in production to fit their songs better as both of them have INSANE power, range, and control way more than Blackpink songs can show.
