Fun fact, since you commented on the video appearance - they’re 100% indie, they record & produce all their own music & videos. This one was literal guerrilla filming, dodging guards on a tea plantation, Raul (the rap guy) was attacked by leeches during the water shoot, there’s tons of stories
Non metalheads l: "metal is nothing but satanism and noisey chaos" Bloodywood: powerful positive message and flute solo's Metalheads: "I LOVE BLOODYWOOD 🤘🤘" 😅😅
At the Copenhagen show, they jumpt into the crowd and created their own circel-pit, with instruments and all. I have never seen anything like it, so F----ng cool !
I saw them live last month in Zürich. Man...what a performance...and they are so charismatic and a whooole lot of humor these guys have. One of the best concerts I've seen in my live. And believe me....I've been on some the past 20 years 😂
Hard agree. Saw them last year and it was absolutely one of the best shows I've ever seen. Super high energy and so genuine. I'm seeing them again next month. Can't wait!
@@michaelfontanin5774 Saw them in London 1500 capacity March on main tour. Got incredibly lucky and saw they did a 200 capacity club in a little town on a Wednesday night last week so had to get tickets. Stood front row, inches from Karan's guitar and fistbumped them all etc, fucking epic live and on album
Bloodywood is top tier for sure, they don’t have a bad song imo. Check out Gaddar, Machi Basad, and Jee Veerey next! They’re coming to the states next month and I’ve got my VIP for Pittsburgh, I can NOT wait!
Good one. And that woman is " The Snake charmer" btw. She is one of the best Bagpiper player in the country and she is a friend/gf of someone in theirs. She mostly travels with them.
Got the chance to see them live in the UK last week. I echo everyone’s comments about how good they are live- excellent performances, energy, ability to engage with the audience. One of the best live acts I have seen in over 4 decades of concert going.
Bloodywood has alot of song that are about mental health and social commentary. Definately recommend watching Jee Veerey and Defiant, also Machi bhasad is a banger and highlights how their sound is very much influenced by RATM as you said.
same for Bloodywood and Ren, but i found them looking for new influencers response to NF( and to see people break with How could you leave us).. love these two, the BEST duo on RU-vid HANDS DOWN!!!!!
Gaddaar is a MUST..mandatory to say the least.. 😎 What a fekin groove through out and so relatable, no matter where you're from..NO FLAG!!! 🤘🎅HAIL SANTA
So, Aaj was my introduction to Bloodywood, and it’s still my favorite of theirs. There’s something so powerful in how the music combines itself to both be natural and also a force of nature. :D It was a hell of a ride with my synesthesia, too.
So glad to see you back with Bloodywood! Seriously, reaction channels like this are what have helped launch them onto the global stage. So, please, by all means, keep visiting their songs! It's a win for you getting to hear great music of a different flavor, and a win for them with exposure to audiences everywhere. 🤘
I can't wait to see these live in June at Download Festival in the UK. I hadn't heard them before but we listened to all the band announced so far and are really looking forward to seeing Bloodywood, the Hu and Ice Nine Kills.
What did you make of their Download set? Seen them twice in small venues here in UK March and May and both gigs #1 and #2 of my life, and I have seen plenty
Awesome reaction!! Bloodywood’s album is easily one of the top ten metal albums of 2022 and more reactions are needed. Eric, when talking about how the guy with the flute gets all the pussy, I thought for sure you’d say something about “one time at band camp”…… opportunity missed.🤣🤣🤣
The girl at the end (snakecharmer) she has her own channel and is a kick ass metal techno bagpipes player, happens to be Karan's (guitar/fluit) girlfriend
This whole album has soooooo much heart. Gaddaar slaps so hard too, and i feel should have been more of a payoff than the leading track. Definitely recommend
Fucking fantastic band, they are so inspirational, each and every one of their song has a different unique and incredibly important message that is uplifting and so full of kindness
I saw them live in Bangalore, India. Amazing performance. And they are super cool dudes without any attitude. I have been following them since their beginnings when they used to do comedic covers of metal songs with an Indian twist. Fantastic to see how far they have come.
Welcome to the wonderful world of Bloodywood. These guys are phenomenal and do everything themselves. They toured the UK a few weeks and I followed them. Absolute gents who are not just talented but they're all so damn kind and friendly. Make sure you react to everything else they've done. You wont be disappointed ❤
Fun fact: the woman is Archy Jay, AKA The Snake Charmer ( www.youtube.com/@TheSnakeCharmer ). New to the channel, dunno if you react to more than metal & hip hop, but if so definitely give her a listen. Mostly covers from various genres, but Nageena is fantastic and an original 👍 Also a collab with a couple other pipers covering Shipping Up To Boston & Enter Sandman is pretty f'n great. That's the one I first found her during a real ... out there YT rabbit hole 😆
I LOVE these guys!!! Usually, female vocals kill it for me but these were SO perfectly done I have to admit I'm making an exception - WHOLEHEARTEDLY! This song especially has so many layers it has dimensions! Absolutely amazing.
Every single bit of the instrumentation was phenomenal, Archy J. was phenomenal with her voice (by the way, Archy J is an amazing beast when she's rocking her bagpipes!!!! See the Snake Charmer, the Indian folk metal, metal-metal bag-piper!!!!), as were both of the vocalists! I don't have everyone's names down YET, but I will! Bloodywood rocks!!
@@jaydeepsen4769 Outstanding! Thanks for asking. Highly recommend if you ever get the chance in the future, go. They’re done in the US, touring Europe right now if that’s where you’re from.
@@chrishill7088 I'm from India. I saw them at Bangalore last year during their Nine Inch Naan tour. They were saying absolutely brilliant. Recently, watched Mayhem live for the first time. 🤘
@@jaydeepsen4769 Lucky you! I see they stopping in Japan after Europe and then they said they are going to get going on a second album….Hope they do some shows near you before they do!
Greetings from Guam! Yeah, these guys are next level! Another top-shelf folk-metal band you'd be glad to check out is Eluveitie. I recommend the song Aidus.
Karan, the guitarist is dating a lady that goes by the name of Archy Jay aka The Snake Charmer whom is the lady singing towards the end of this song. Her, Jane Espie aka Phantom Piper and Chelsea Joy aka the Dame of Drones did a bagpipe cover of DropKick Murphy's song Shipping up to boston.
go see them-no regrets. i did and it was hands down, the best concert I've seen. the lady at the end is a bagpipe player who goes by snakecharmer. listen to endurant next.
i appreciated your comment throughout the video, you are among the few who, in my opinion, didn't just "hear" the song, but listened to it. Keep it up 👊
ya know what ... have my world wide folk metal list The Hu- Mongolia Wagakki band- japan Alien weaponry- New Zealand (Maori metal) Arka'n Asrafokor- Togo (Africa has a metal scene people are tragically overlooking. Another good metal band [although not folk metal] from Africa is Botswanan band Skinflint) Cemican- Mexico Manntra- Croatia Rune- Srbija Dubioza Kolektiv- Bosnia and Hertzegovina (NOTE: they are called a band with no genre because they blend EVERYTHING ... just compare their songs "No escape" and "space song") Arkona-Russia Percival Shatenbach- Poland ( Percival is kind of a panslavic since they covered folk songs from all 3 subgroups of Slavic peoples) Al Namrood- Saudi arabia Hassak- Kazakhstan (technically an ethno band but their song "Amanat" would not be out of place on a metal concert) Bloodywood-India Nini music - Taiwn MicacleOfSound- Ireland (songs like "Grainn Mahoil", "Sirona" and "Tale of Cu Chullain") NOTE: if anyone knows a band from South America please do let me know I want to have a band from each continent to recommend
If linkin park had flute solo's. I've had the pleasure of seeing them live twice. They're wonderful human beings, and should be talked about more than they are.
Guyssss i would die for you to react to Fujii Kaze, Shinunoga E-wa, live version. It is amazing, beautifully done and gives me goosebumps every time. ❤
saw 'em last week in CZ at the Rock for People fest ... f-ing amazing. SlipKnoT had just finished their show and I was actually thinking of checking out Bloodywood, totally unknown to me at the time. Really glad I stayed. One of the best and epic shows I've seen!
Funny you say they remind you of RATM, a documentary was made on these guys when they went to play their first shows and it's called Raj against the Machine. Worth checking out too. Great guys.
Yes, it remind me Rage against the machine too, ALOT heavier but it's really close. Bloodywood is certainly the future of the metal scene... oh wait... they already are !
Wait wait wait…😂 That little “Off the hook” bit. Was that a Grind reference? LOL Tom Greene does that EXACT thing in that movie LMFAO If so then omg I love you guys soooooooo much more now 😊 One of my favourite movies growing up
Bloodywood, have said that System of A Down, Rage Against the Machine, Alter Bridge are among those Bands that have influenced them. Also Bloodywood have made a Documentary called Raj Against the Machine, about their Journey to Wachen Metal Festival (its here on RU-vid).
an Indian metal Wu Tang Clan.. each brings their own style to represent their people's power and story... tell me i am off base.. absolute fire band, thank you guys for introducing my ADHD ass to this band, not to head down the rabbithole
