In Flames are one of my favorite bands ever. I got to see them in 2009 on the tour for their album 'A Sense Of Purpose' and became a fan immediately. Their music is worth diving into.
I really love this album. Their 3 last albums weren't my cup of tea, but I really like they went back to the sound of the albums I loved from the 2000's on
🔥🔥 IN FLAMES WE TRUST 🔥🔥 This is the band that I love since like 1998. I know you have a lot of material to cover, but In Flames really is a true gem. Only for the weak, Pinball Map, Clayman... My God, so many amazing songs by them!
I’m totally all for more of this! I absolutely love In Flames Come clarity, My Sweet Shadow, When the world Explodes I honestly don’t think they can miss Much love guys!
I'm so glad to see you guys reacting to a real gem from Sweden :D They were my first metal band and they are still one of my absolute favorites. This album is fire
I’ve followed In Flames since I was in high school, they’ve always produced great music. My favorites I’d recommend to anyone are Cloud Connected, The Quiet Place, My Sweet Shadow, the whole Come Clarity album, Sounds of a Playground Fading, Deliver Us, Stay With Me…just to name a few lol
Finally!!! I have requested a reaction to this band! Their new album is awesome!! You should react to more from them, it's gothenburg metal at its finest!! The band its in its fourth decade making music!! Loved your reaction as usual 😊 If you want more you should check out cloud connected, only for the weak and come clarity. Newer songs is state of denial, foregone pt 1, I the mask, this is our house, battles etc. There are so many great songs from this band.
I didn't get into In Flames until recently so I don't know their full back catalog well, but this new album start to finish is one of my favorites of the last year or so of any artist. Not a bad song on there and the overall sound mix is fantastic. Also, I'm addicted to the guitar riff in the chorus of this one, so good!
This is called "The Gothenburg sound" and In Flames are genrally credited with creating it. Considering how many melo-death metal band has fallen into the genre since, thats no small credit. They were in fact THE biggest metal abnd in the world at one point, in the early 2000s
You've never heard In Flames?? 😲😲😲😲 One of my all time fav bands. I've seen them live 5 times across the last 15 years and they have been outstanding every single time!! Absolute kings of melodic death!! 🤘🤘🤘
Please react to more: Jotun, Gyroscope, Only for the Weak, Come Clarity, Take this Life, My Sweet Shadow, Crawling through Knives, Pinball Map, The Quiet Place - urgh, all so good!!
If yall havent heard of Alestorm yet, Highly suggest checking out P.A.R.T.Y! Kinda like pirate groovedown? Think you both would LOVE it, very Electric callboy level of fun
IF are the OGs of Gothenburg Metal and Swedish Melodic Deathmetal. (with bands like At The Gates, Arch Enemy, Dark Tranquillity). Their golden era was in the '90. (with albums Jester Race, Whoracle, Colony, Clayman) These guys and their sound were a major influence to the new wave of American heavy metal, for bands like Lamb of God. IF just released their new album which is actually the only good one they've done since 2005ish. They've been doing this watered down radio friendly bullshit for several albums' worth in between. If you check out any IF tracks pre 2004, you are golden. ...and the title tracks from the new album Foregone (parts 1 & 2) are a huge nod to the early years.
I just spent 2 months in rehab, so I´m still catching up, but... Kyle doesn´t "know" who In Flames are? Dafuq? Am I still on earth? 🤣 Over here in Europe, In Flames is generally regarded as our generation´s version of Iron Maiden, they´re kind of a big deal and have been for easily 20 years. Judging by what you said about the higher pitched voice, my guess is that you were first introduced during around the Clayman era, Pinball map and such.... That´s a good 25 years ago, their journey through teh years has been quite interesting, both musically and Personally. I cannot recommend strongly enough that you give their back catalog a good listen, especially The Jester Race and Reroute to Remain from the older albums, and Come Clarity or Sounds of a Playground Fading for more recent offerings. But they´re actually all pretty good, I´d be hard ppressed to name one that "sucks", but I too very much like that this seems to be a returm to form after a few years of being a bit different, which some didn´t appreciate. And I really like what Matt Broderick brings to the table, definitely a good choice. 🍻 Whether you do or not, keep it up, love your energy and opinions. And if I may make a request: Take a listen to Frostbite Orckings - Guardians of Time ..... But please do yourselves a favor and don´t research the artist until after you hear it, but absolutely do those 5 minutes of research afterwards... ;)
Great reaction!! I requested this knowing you’d likely dig it. They’ve been around since the mid 90’s and I was finally going to see them couple years ago. But because of travel restrictions, they couldn’t come to the US. So Hatebreed jumped on the bill to open up for Megadeth, Lamb of God, and Trivium. Hoping they come back around this summer🤞🏻🤞🏻
Loved this. Met these guys in 2019 with Chris as their new guitarist ..and can he ever wail, i think he came from Megadeath. They are great, humble guys and are such amazing musicians. Check out more from them for sure.
Not my favorites from my lovely Sweden but i can listen too it😋 what have you heard from smash to pieces?? Now them I recommend 😍 love watching you guys always makes my day a little happier 🤗
Very solid album all the way through. Also still glad to see Chris Broderick in the band. Love that you called him an asshole for being able to sweep pick 😂
This came out at such perfect timing! Listened to this for the first time two hours ago, got home and see this pop up on my sub page haha. Absolutely LOVE in flames, and I highly recommend checking out more from them! They have some really pleasing, clear vocals when they want to! :D
Come clarity, take this life, disconnected, delights and angers are all great songs for reactions if you like this sound they've changed alot through their almost 30 year career lol
So, I’m just getting back into the rock scene (thanks to FIR) and I’m loving these guys. They give me heavy MIW and Breaking Benjamin vibes. But I’m LOVING it!!!!
Nice react guys, In Flames is to me one of best metal bands ever...you need to check out their older stuff from 1994/95 to 2008 when they were on top...last album I The Mask and for sure Foregone album now with this song on it's back to their roots but to me they are absolutly unique band! Subscribed ! 👌🤘
In Flames pioneered the melodic death metal genre and influenced the whole death core genre. Any of the new tracks is great listening. From back in the day I would recommend Clayman, Jotun, Behind Space live at Sticky Fingers, Cloud Connected, Take this life, The Mirrors Truth, Alias...
In Flames!! One of my favourite bands ever! My top picks are Cloud Connected, Take This Life, Where The Dead Ships Dwell, and Come Clarity. The singles from this album are great though, people are saying it's a real return to form, as their last couple of albums haven't been as well-received. ❤️
I discovered them thru Guitar Hero 3 with their song Take This Life & I've been hooked since. Definitely my favorite melodic death metal band aside from Soilwork & Amon Amarth. And this is my most fav track off of Foregone.
This is a band I have known about for a while but kinda feel away from them for a while. This song is DEFINITELY In Flames. Absolutely correct about his ability to sing in so many ways and the music is always baller!
In Flames has been around for 25 years +. And they have changed lineups and their sound back and forth but this song wich is from their new album Foregone was released February 10 2023 is the best one in years. They have a lyrics video out for a song called End the transmission wich is the last song on this album and one och my absolute favorites. The whole album is a masterpiece if you ask me. So please do a reaction to End the transmission please! Thanks guys for another awesome reaction! 🤘👊💪

I am not deep into In Flames though I didn't finally get to see them last year at Louder Than Life. But, they are an influence of some of my favorite bands like Avatar and Ghost.
