The video is set in a future where art, music especially, is banned. A couple people stumble upon a cache of art and look to not know what it even is. They play the video tape which is an artifact of a previous time which of course is the song by Lord of the Lost. The helmeted individuals with guns, who are Formalin, are tasked with destroying the forbidden art and anyone who knows about it.

Never heard of either of these bands before. Time to go digging into their discography!

"Are they in the band?" "Yeah". Well, not in Lord of the Lost band, but in Formalin band, as in, this song is LotL feat. Formalin. Guys in black wrote intro and outro, while LotL did the main piece.

I think Lord of the Lost's most humorous video is La Bomba. They had a lot of fun with that one. Raining Stars though - kicks me right in the feels every damn time.

Lord of the Lost is a fusion of goth and industrial metal. Critics have a tendency of smearing bands by saying they are not original, but Picasso said it best: “Good artists borrow, great artists steal.” That said, I’m stealing someone else’s suggestion: watch “Loreley” from them. The song and music video are amazing.

Just found this group (through their single Splintered Minds released last week). Loving it. LeAnn's comment "very SciFi" echoed my thoughts - the synthesizer lead-in very much reminded me of the Tron: Legacy soundtrack by Daft Punk

His voice is awesome. I'm not a fan of Goth metal in general, however I do love some of their songs. They are a very down to earth band. What I found surprising and very touching was their, Gothic meets Klassik (Full Show) with an orchestra and everyone dressed to attend a symphony. It was an amazing performance.

LOTL is very unique. After listening to chris range from metal to chorus songs from the Swan albums. There really isnt many bands that can pull that off period. Im pretty sure none can transfer a goth song into strings to be classic. These guy are so underrated yet have more talent than 95% the bands out there today and I listen to alot of metal, rock, goth, industrial, orchesta.

Great review, and great to see this band getting a bit more attention! On the question "Are they in the band?" the answer is actually No. The man and woman in white, plus the two soldiers, are most likely the "feat. FORMALIN" part of the video title. I haven't been able to find more information on them, but none of those four have been part of the band as far as I know. This song was the first I ever heard of them, and both the song and video immediately got my attention. Having listened to it many times over I've started seeing them as two separate things though: The video is awesome, but it really has nothing to do with the actual lyrics. The song is very depictive, and tells a different story than what we're watching. Gives me the shils every time I hear it on it's own, while the video can be very inspirational for different reasons.

I dig it. Never heard this before but this band reminds me of Combichirst a little bit. Keep rocking, ladies! 🤘🏻 Meanwhile I will be waiting for that I Prevail “Breaking Down” reaction 😂 And if u can - check out Denzel Curry’s cover of “Bulls on Parade”! Original song was made by Rage Against The Machine and they are extremely hard to get covered but Denzel absolutely crushed it. And it fits with what’s going n in US right now perfectly!

LOTL is like no other band. Chris Harms range is beyond nuts. This guy has turned his music in classical form (swan songs). He has done music with Heaven can wait. Covered lady gaga's bad romance, even dueted with scarlet dorn. Him and his band is amazing.

Hey idk if you'll like this band or not, but I'd recommend listening to dimmu borgir- gateways live, its extremely dope af, the band is symphonic black metal, or melodic black metal, haven't seen any black metal on this channel yet, thought I'd recommend some softer black metal as to ease you into it.

"Black Halo" is a good song from too. They have many 😄 They were critized because they mix a bit with other genres. But I like that. They're experimental and not strictly Gothic Metal. You should try Eisbrecher "Was ist hier los?" 😁 Great song.
