Hello! It's great to see another reaction to LOTL! They are so underrated band. Their music is so diverse that it's impossible to classify it as just one genre or subgenre. They mix different types of music and instruments: metal & rock, dark, industrial, goth, death, doom, symphonic. They use distorted guitars, synths as well as classical instruments (Chris Harms is awesome cellist too!), choir or church organs. So I definitely encourage you to check more by this band! What's more - Loreley in this song is a goddess from Pangaeian mythology, not a siren :) Have a great day! Hugs!

These guys are fantastic! I was lucky enough to catch them a handful of times with Maiden and was hooked pretty quick. Can’t wait to see them in NY next year!

I've been a huge fan of this band for a decade.. and they have only gotten better. Chris Harms is one of my favorite singers and the newest album Judas is just a phenomenal album. Great reaction really love this band

Very diverse body of work, one can hardly go wrong with any song of theirs they’re so diverse they’re powerful and beautiful and just an amazing band one of my two favorite bands along with Epica. They just did tour this past year in Europe a lot of it opening for Iron Maiden. Chris Harms voice is wickedly good! New album just out Blood and Glitter and it is damn good! 🤘🏼🤘🏼

Hello, I haven't heard of Lord Of The Lost before, they seem like quite an interesting band. I really like your comments, thoughts, interpretations, reactions and your introductions to each band you check out. It's very kind of you to take the time to tell a bit of story about each band you feature. Yesterday I was at the Within Temptatiom concert and I had the pleasure of hearing the song "Don't Pray For Me" live. Sharon gave us a bit of context before singing it. Here's a quote from the official website because I don't want to twist the message: "Sharon den Adel: “‘Don’t Pray For Me’ strives against forcing beliefs and fears onto others and bears witness to being acceptive of everyone’s own journey. It is an anthem about coming to terms with the fact that beliefs can be fluid, multiple or frankly: different. The song is about allowing people to pursue their own destiny.” "Don't Pray For Me" is the newest song of this band and if possible I would love to see your reaction and what you think about this song. Great reaction. 🙂 Slight misunderstanding - this song is not about the Lorelei rock and its legend. For the Thornstar album, the band created a fictional pantheon of gods. According to a document on the band's website: "Loreley is a female spirit and demigoddess, often referred to as the Sun Spirit or the Guardian of the Fire. Only demigods are in contact with Morgana or Haythor. She conveys the dead into Morgana’s Realm of the Sun, redolent of what we today call Heaven. She is the most direct link between humans and their maker." "Any connection to today’s Loreley, the murmuring rock, is considered debatable."

Lord of the Lost Dark rock meets goth meets glam metal meets synths including a perfect mixture of clean and harsh vocals down to growls. They are a rabbit hole with so many different styles and moods. They recently supported Iron Maiden across Europe and will do so this year again. So they they definitely know how to play a huge stage. Their newest album "Blood and Glitter" was surprisingly released end of last year with only one week of preselling and hit #1 of the German album charts. Since you love German industrial gotich(ish) stuff, you may want to check _Null Positiv_ *Independenz* is somewhat on their softer side, but a very good introduction to the band *Wo Rauch ist, ist auch Feuer* is one of a kind song, and a true masterpiece *Turm der Angst* (Tower of Pain) or *Trauma* for as they usually sound Enjoy!

Your problem with the crumbling lipstick is even more funny when you’ve seen the videos of LOTL. I bet Chris’ lipstick crumbles during every single scream he does. I love your approuch to music, your reactions and the way you edit your videos. I agree, the song Loreley is easy to consume and joyable. They did a lot of different things. They worked with an orchestra, and with a choir of elderly people, The Heaven-Can-Wait-Choir. But they have lots of heavier stuff as well. Thank you.

There is a german gothic rock band LACRIMOSA. They were the first in the german gothic/metal/independent scene. Lord Of the Lost sounds to me like a fruit of this artistic movement but I certainly prefer the band that started it.

Time to get to Kamelot - Memento Mori. A must listen epic masterpiece that gets better with every listen.

Loreley are diffrent folklore about loreley ^the3 is ^ n this legend that Loreley really lived. Because she was very beautiful, many men wanted her. But the Lorelei only loved the knight Eberhard. When he went to war, many men applied for the hand of Loreley. But they wanted to wait for their loved one Eberhard. Many men killed themselves because they were heartbroken. That is why it was assumed that the Loreley was a witch. But witches were burned back then. The Archbishop of Cologne sat in judgment on Loreley and felt sorry for her. He did not sentence her to death, but sent her to a monastery. On the way there she asked her companions to be allowed to climb the rocks on the Rhine one more time to take a last look at the castle of her beloved knight Eberhard. Suddenly the Lorelei saw the knight going down the Rhine in a small boat. The Loreley called loudly: "Eberhard". The knight looked up at the Loreley and didn't notice the rock he was driving against. He drowned in the whirlpool of the Rhine. Full of despair, Loreley jumped into the Rhine so that she could be close to her Eberhard. She was never seen again. 2 version According to legend, a blonde, long-haired girl named Loreley sat on the rock by the Rhine and combed her golden hair while singing a lovely melody. Lorelei was fallen as child in the river reihn and because the river reihn was this time mercyfull he gave her back to the land but with a present of bracelet reihnperls and voice make everybody standing still. she grow up became beautiful women Her looks and singing were so enchanting that the boatmen on the Rhine looked up to the Loreley and sailed onto the dangerous reefs, rocks and shoals of the Rhine. Many sailors lost their lives and the king want her gone killing his men so he send his soldiers to remove her. but she cry to the river of the rhine ( father reihn) for mercy and old river start to raise higher and higer and she dropt one of the pearls inside and as soldiers came to take her down . the river shallow her and the last thing soldiers saw was a fishtail surrounded by Reihnperls. and the last daughter of the river Reihn was born later people told that loreleis voicewas heared more enchanting as befor over the river near the rocks whenever a ship has sunk. the frist an the oldest one Where the river valley of the Rhine is narrowest below Kaub, rugged rock faces of black slate rock tower incredibly high on both sides. The tide of the Rhine stream shoots faster there, the waves roar louder, bounce off the rocks and form foaming whirlpools. It's not safe in this gorge, above these rapids. The beautiful mermaid of the Rhine, the dangerous Loreley, often appears to the boatmen, combs her long, flat hair with a golden comb and sings a sweet, beguiling song. Some who were lured by it and wanted to scale the rock found their death in the waves. Whoever sees her, whoever hears her song, loses his heart. She stands high up on the highest peak of her rock, in a white dress, with a flying veil, with flowing hair, with waving arms. But no one comes close to her. She retreats from him, she lures him with her enchanting beauty - right up to the precipitous edge of the abyss. He only sees her, he thinks she is on solid ground in front of him, advances and falls, shattering, into the depths. Once upon a time, the devil also sailed the Rhine by ship and got caught between the Loreley rocks. The pass seemed too narrow for him, he wanted to widen it and move the rock colossus opposite. He braced his back against the Lorelei rock and heaved and pushed and shook the opposite mountain. This was already beginning to shake when the Lorelei sang. The devil heard the song and felt strange. He paused in his work and almost couldn't stand it any longer. He would have liked to win the Loreley for himself, but had no power over her. He got so hot with love he was steaming. When the song of the Loreley fell silent, the devil hurried away. He had thought to stay glued to the rocks. But when he was gone, oh wonder, his whole form showed up, burned black into the rock face. Afterwards the devil took great care not to come near the siren of the Rhine again.
