So yea.... he didn't cuss. We know that isn't his thing, but reading it and then kinda hearing it made it worse 🤣 I thought maybe it was showing another " layer " of him.

I have a brother that’s very close in age to me. We both like hip-hop and metal. Watching you guys do these reactions makes me jealous and wish he and I were able to do the same thing! For a recommendation do warm up. It’s a song I slept on but recently I’ve been listening to. It came out between therapy session and perception as a independent single. It’s pretty hard and feels sort of like no name.

I loved that NF gave us a departure from the verse, chrous, verse, bridge, chorus structure on this one. The layers are deep on this one. "Something to hold them over before what's next." This went so hard, I can't imagine what's next.

I can't wait for yall to see him live! Nate is actually very humorous and outgoing in his day to day life. We see more moods because his music is where he brings the pain but a lot of people think he just walks around all sad and introspective.

This song wasn't about specific Layers to him on a personal level. It was about the layers of cadences that he has at his disposal and his means of delivery. It also describes the different messages/topics that he can speak on. Even his layers have layers in the song which ironically is a part of the layers song which is one of the layers within this album and again this mixtape is a layer in his big picture of music. Absolutely genius! Unlike myself, because I apparently have the inability to properly describe things with correct punctuation and sentence forming lol

Great reaction guys... I see lyrics have been corrected so I'll leave that alone, lol. Anyway, I had some thoughts... "Here's a little somethin to hold 'em over for what's next" Typically you would have appetizers with a steak dinner but, if you have steak and lobster, they are called hors d'oeuvres. It's fancy. This is like being at Nate's dinner party and he says "The steaks are gonna be a few, but here's some hors d'oeuvres while you wait." We're getting steaks cuz they're the real deal, and hors d'ouvres because they're "the best" thing to snack on. This ain't chips and salsa!! Of all of NFs songs, all of his flows I think the verse and flow following "To get past me, you would have to kill me, kill me, kill me..." is my favorite flow by Nate. I just want to point out the irony in the lyrics when NF says "Recording half of the things I think would take six years" and "It's clear yeah six ain't enough That wouldn't come close to the content between my ears" The Mansion album was released on March 31, 2015 which is only 5 days short of being exactly 6 years to his release of Clouds the mixtape which was released on March 26, 2021! k
