I'd like to see a video from you guys that is just all your b-roll of tanks compiled with maybe some lofi playing. Extra long too, like a couple hours of b-roll
It's really just not the same scape anymore, now more of a mountain scape with stones all the way. Juan's original cliff with dark shadows was so appealing because the open space with the fine grasses in the background contrasted so well with the cliff faces. I get it, though, this tank is in a studio and needs to look better from a standing position. They both look great, in their own right, but for me this isn't so much of a boost session as a complete transformation.
by this point ive probably watched so many of your videos (great explanations, insight, everything) from the IAPLC reviews, ADA Japan tours, and scaping guides. I've really been inspired by your channel (and others), Takashi Amano, and the level of connection there is between nature and people. it really is a good dynamic to see and strive for, glad to be here
As a weirdo into many things... Its like a geological progression of two Tectonic Plates pushing against each other. And l think its in sequence too. The 'different' rock on the top in Scape 3? In the actual progression ( +/- 3 Million years) floods of great capacity may have deposited 'out of place' objects. I love it.
I like this refresh, in the previous version the background was a little flat, now there is more movement, more action and more interesting 🧐 … on the other hand, the concept of the original scape is gradually vanishing in my opinion
Really cool to see how a scape can keep evolving, and also what a similar layout would look like with increasing hardscape mass. All of the versions are great in their own way :) You can choose what you like :) Its a good reminder to ask yourself - how much hardscape do you want? There's not a wrong answer
I really like the strong lines of Juan's original scape and don't really mind that the hardscape doesn't reach that far up the tank. I think this rescape emphasizes the lines of the original better than the previous rescape did, but I still think that some of the impact and dynamism of the strong lines and shadows is somewhat lost. It's looking really good though, and I love the fish selection of Celestichthys choprae, they look great in there.

I'm sorry to say this, but I think it got progressively worse. The original was stunning. Also, if you have a competition style tank, created by "the best aquascaper in Europe", why not just display it on a higher stand?
well, it has turned the totaly different way... nice one. For me was the original layout something beautifully calm, "minimalistic". Now it is typical Balasz's work, full from bottom to the top, from left to right, from the front, to the back... I understand your arguments, but miss the old one a bit.. But still...good job!
I like the first rescape, because then you've kept the original concept but added a lot more depth. The red plants in the background are more visible, too. The 2nd rescape is a bit too heavy on the eyes now, in my opinion. It lost a lot of openness.
Yeah. It turned out a bunch of stones. And everything. And it was only necessary to change the plants of the background. On the high eleocharis, for example. The first tweak was the best. The 2nd tweak has too many angles it is too distracting especially the top right stone on the left side. Otherwise I admire this tank! 😀
What's the problem with using gloves?, i have worked with aquariums for years and you can get some weird looking infections from not using gloves. So please use them!
