The first time we abandoned this van was in March of 2020 during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic. We returned at the end of 2021 to find our tiny home parked exactly as we’d left it (much to our surprise!). We began our victory lap through Morocco and flew home for what we thought would be a quick breast surgery… turns out I had stage 3 breast cancer.

I lost my best friend of over 25 years last week. It’s been so unbelievably hard to make it through every day but being able to sit down and watch this video and forget about it for half an hour has been really nice. Trin looks amazing! I'm still not tired of seeing you both travel, and I'm so happy you are both able to travel again. I'm so sure Lee was there with you both, too! When I was flying home after a visit with my family in NL, my nan said she would be thinking/praying for me on my trip home. While on my flight home there was a circular rainbow around the shadow of the plane in the clouds. It was a nice little reminder that my nan was thinking of me/reminded me of her. Ayoub is such a gem for all of the work he put into trin & for keeping trin safe while you were away. What a great guy! Also watching you scrub and deep clean the van while feeling super overwhelmed has given me a kick in the butt to start on the stuff I don't want to do today. My husband and I live in a very small apartment and we are expecting our first baby in April, so I've been chipping away at things each weekend. I don't want to do anything, but this has been some of the motivation I need today! 😅

It’s so nice to see you in the van again. Keep dryer sheets on hand to pack individually around your van and at home to keep the nice out because they don’t like the smell. They might work against those bugs. Use the Dryer sheets and mouth balls at home in your cars and anything you’re going to store around your cabin for the winter to keep out critters.

I my best friend unexpectedly passed away 2 months ago when I arrived in Japan for work for 2 months. It was so hard being there by myself and couldn’t get back to AU for her funeral, i’m still processing it. Anytime i see a beautiful sunset, I think of her. Her family often called her their Sunshine because she was - she lit up every room. She was a traveler like you, she was able to make it to 41 countries before her 41st birthday which will be this weekend.

I pray that one day I can live a life like this. Following severe trauma as a teen it’s taken me a long time to regain control of my life. Daily battles with PTSD wouldn’t have been possible without the help of my assistance dog, and now I want to give her a life of freedom and exploration. I don’t have friends or close family connections keeping me here so I’m just waiting to finally get the confidence to begin living for me and I dream of travelling with my pup and seeing the good in the world, as I’ve already seen the worst and need to find balance. ❤

This was a trip, so many memories came flooding back, it almost feels like the last 1-2 years had been a bad dream with the loss of lee, your incredibly brave battle with cancer and now it feels like we’ve woken up and are back in Morocco. I love how you guys are so chill about finding bugs on the bed lol. You just went to sleep right after. I would NOT be ok until I knew what they were and that they were gone!
